Incredible trip! We will definitely be booking this house again. The location and neighbors are wonderful. Only complaints would be the dishwasher wasn’t working, lack of cooking pans and cleaning supplies, and pillows were awful. But we will just bring our own next time.

This is a great lake house - great size, excellent dock, wonderful decks. The house needs some basic maintenance and improvements. The lighting was pretty bad. The kitchen lacked silverware and was rather disorderly. The bath and kitchen towels were very worn and in poor condition. The game room was fun but had many broken games. We have fun and it was beautiful on the lake.

What a great property. We had an amazing time both adults and children. We will be back!

Overall we had a great stay. The house is nice and in decent condition, and the location on the lake could not be better. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with our coffee and taking the kayaks out each day. Plenty of space to relax and spread out. The kitchen could use a few more pots/pans and silverware, not much to cook with. The skylight leaked every time it rained so we had a puddle of water in the kitchen each morning. They also could clean the glass does coming into the house and out onto the decks as it didn’t seem those had been cleaned in months.

I would be absolutely embarrassed if I owned this property and rented out to people! Maintenance was in the house for the first 3 days and never fixed anything and the only time they told us they were coming was day 1 and didn’t announce what the problem was. Issues during entire or some of stay: dishwasher broken, kitchen sink didn’t drain and disposal didn’t work, washer/dryer didn’t work, locks on doors broken, lights didn’t work, no hand soap, no sponge or dish soap to wash dishes, pilot light on grill and no lighter, smelled like sewage outside, smoke detector randomly went off at all hours, rusty nails popping from steps, no plug for tub, master bed was so terrible I had to sleep on couch, no cleaning supplies and so much more. We asked for a refund to leave early and were going to be completely out of luck and just stayed and left early on own. Trying to talk to Vacasa or management in general was another nightmare. NEVER BOOK HERE!

Picture sitting around a firepit watching your children jump off the dock into a lake, swinging on a hammock, or kayaking yourself down a huge lake. A huge game room to relaxing in the AC during the hotest points of the day, marshmallows around a camp fire or taking a 2 mile away day trip to a local spot for cider tasting, which is kidand pet friendly. This place was a prefect get away for me and my large family. My husband, myself, my sister-in-law and 7 children had a blast and a not easily forgoten vacation.

Better days is a beautiful home with a beautiful view. It is well cared for and contains everything you need for a wonderful vacation! There are plenty of kitchen amenities. All you need is the food. There are plenty of linens provided, along with trial size shampoo, conditioner, soap and even blow dryers. The house can sleep at least 12 people comfortably. The game room is a definite bonus, especially for families with children or young adults. The bar and small refrigerator in the game room make it easy to enjoy your time away. There is a list of places to enjoy while on vacation. I would highly recommend The Lake Anna Tap House, Tims restaurant on the water, The Cove at Lake Anna and Coyote Hole Brewery . There are many more places we want to go back and visit. I definitely recommend Better Days for vacation!

Overall we loved this property. We travel from ct annually to visit friends in the area and always stay on lake anna. This was our favorite property so far. House was huge and the price point was perfect. You are one mile from food lion and dollar general. I've never stayed that close! Two decks to choose from for enjoying morning coffee. Neighbors were sparse so noise was non existent. There was only one functional pan to cook with and no foil/saran wrap/containers/condiments so we went to dollar general and bought our own. Ice maker worked without issue. Communication with vacasa was awesome- i've never used them before but seemed to have a live person who responded immediately and helped answer our questions. Families with children and/or dogs : the stairs from the kitchen downstairs are extremely steep and narrow. We used a chair to block off the top but a small gate would have been preferred. I would absolutely rent this property again :-)

This home was perfect for bringing our bass boat and practicing for a tournament. Location is wonderful and close to everything you need!! I was very impressed that the sofas had been vacuumed, since this is a home that allows pets - super clean - thank you for that!

When we arrived to the property the code given was not working we called Vacasa and they tried to reset it and still didn’t work. We were told there was a lockbox on the property but no one knew where it was located. We were then told a ticket would be placed so a manager could help and they would call me back but could not give me a time frame on when I would receive a phone call. 20 minutes later we called again and spoke with Susan who was AMAZING!!! She was able to reset the code and we were able to get in. Once we got in we realized the house was not cleaned before we came, none of the beds were made the bathrooms were a mess, dishes had grease on them. we had to wash all sheets and put them on the bed. After everything was done the stay was great everything was as described. Overall it was a good stay.

Right on the lake, easy access to lake from home and from dock. House was clean and had all we needed . The game room definitely needs a dehumidifier in it, it smells like it’s at the water. Lot of games even if you don’t want to hang in there. Great area for walking the dog as well. Location is excellent near restaurants and breweries. Quiet location just what I was looking for.

Loved the location for a relaxed lake front visit. Would book again at this location. Issues we had were minor and most were not related to the property itself and in the grand scheme did not adversely impact the great time we had. ( code key not working upon arrival, 45 min wait to resolve with management company) / air conditioning issue but fixed within 2.5 hours/ power outage but fixed within 3 hours. ) ( upstairs shower slow drains so water backs up when taking shower, inner shower curtain could use a little more love, game room was a great concept but not everything was working or in a functioning capacity ( pool table leans to the right so all balls tend right when attempting to play. There are sooooooo many game options though this was very minor for us.)
As I said we enjoyed this house and location and would book again.

We enjoyed the cove and fishing

Great location - able to fish, swim, kayak from the dock. Large yard for games - corn hole, chip and putt. Great house - fit our whole family easily (7 people and dogs), kitchen for making our meals. Has open decks, screened area, outdoor picnic table, fire pit, and kayaks. Short drive to a Food Lion and boat marina for rentals. Wonderful relaxing week! Highly recommend and would return.

Loved the property. Everyone had fun. Needs a working BBQ, new disposal and towels. Kitchen could be better but over all it works. Very much enjoyed the stay, thank you!

This home has all you need for a quiet lakeside retreat. The private boat launch is just a few minutes walk from the house and it is a short boat ride to get from the launch to the private dock. It is a quiet neighborhood and not too far from Lake Anna restaurants. We enjoyed sunning on the floating dock during the day and relaxing around the fire pit at night. The game room is in the garage across the driveway with lots of room to play. Kitchen/dining room/living room is open floor plan so feels spacious even with a full house. We would definitely rent this place again in the future!

The house was immaculately clean. The technology was awesome and worked well. We didn’t spent a lot of our time at the house but we only had one issue. The freezer wouldn’t make ice but the refrigerator froze all the food on the top and bottom shelves. Frozen carrots instead of ice in your gin and tonic wasn’t ideal. We told the management company about the ice issue but it was never fixed. However, I would book this home again.

Clean, comfortable place. Plenty of room for living, cooking, hanging out. Ample parking space for truck-trailer combos but you have to back in. The good news - it's a straight shot. Convenient location - close to ramps, shopping, area attractions.
5.0
Perfect location on the lake, nice and quiet, cool game room, comforting cabin vibe inside the house, big area to park, and some pretty good fishing around the dock. We caught smallmouth, largemouth, catfish, and bluegill. We even took the kayaks out for some exercise.
We didn't see it in the listing, but there is also an oversized chair in the basement that pulls out as an additional sleeper for somebody.... so, there are 2 pullout sleepers in the basement.
There is also a nice private picnic & dock/boat launch area on the adjoining street. There is a locked gate you will need a key for. The book in the house is not updated and says it will be hanging in the main floor hallway. Please note, it is not kept there anymore. It will be in a lockbox at the beginning of the driveway (opposite of the mailbox, behind the sign... top lockbox) that you will need a code for. We had to call for the code.
We had a blast and may very well visit again.

The location was lovely, we had brought our boat so having the private dock and a neighborhood launch ramp was great. The house was nice, but could use maintenance. There were multiple lights not functioning, so the living room was dark. The stairs to downstairs are steep, with narrow treads. Water pressure was poor; only one shower or the dishwasher or the washer could be used at a time so could be challenging for a larger group. There were only 2 dish towels; no hot pads, placemats or oven mitts; we ended up using hand towels to protect the kitchen table from hot dishes and pots. Grocery store is nearby, there is a cidery about 3 minutes away and a winery 6 miles away.

Pros: Met the property owner on the first day (we were a little early) he was very friendly and allowed us to check in early which was really helpful. Enjoyed the firepit and sitting by the lake with longtime friends. Propane and wood for the fire pit were ready to go.
Minor Cons: Only minor issues to report but, if you read this and plan on cooking complicated dinners I would recommend bringing your own pots/pans maybe a cutting board etc. There were a couple of minor maintenance issues - The dishwasher was a little wonky (seemed to have trouble draining so we just washed our dishes by hand. The garbage disposal and kitchen sink had trouble draining. Lastly, the downstairs shower knob appeared to be broken or stripped.
Overall pretty nice space. My only regret is not getting to try out the gaming room.

The house was simple and functional. There were just 2 of us so we had plenty of space and quiet even though there was significant construction noise a few properties away from us. We will likely return perhaps with extended family.

BETTER DAYS….NOT
Let me start with the positives. The location was wonderful as it was on a quiet cove in the middle of the lake. Upon arrival the house was clean. The game room in the garage was perfect for rainy days.
Now onto the negatives. Upon arrival, there was NO ice from the ice maker and no ice cube trays. I called our local Vacasa rep, Amber, who informed me to give it time for the ice maker to make ice. After reading the binder in the house, I learned that the ice maker was disabled by the homeowner due to the noise it makes during the night. I called Amber again to let her know this information. The next day (Sunday) my husband and I traveled to FIVE different stores, twenty minutes away, to locate ice cube trays so we could make ice. Amber arrived Monday late afternoon with ice cube trays. There were only two dish towels and ZERO oven mitts. The kitchen sink took forever to drain and we were told not to use the garbage disposal. There was one saucepan, 2 dish towels, dirty cutting boards, about 7 forks (for a rental unit that holds 12), 6 glasses, and the absolute CHEAPEST and most USELESS cooking utensils. They were so flimsy you couldn't even serve pasta without it bending. We also had to purchase more forks and a stock pot to cook for the week. We ended up using the extra bath hand towels for dish towels. There are NO serving bowls, Tupperware containers to store leftovers, or potholders. There is only one Pyrex dish as well.
The steps to the bottom level aren’t to building code so they tacked an extra strip to make them wider. The strips were made of such cheap plastic that one broke and 2 others cracked (and we’re not big people).
The faucet and shower head in the main bathroom feel like they are going to pull right out of the wall. The bed in the master bedroom squeaks so badly when you toss and turn in the middle of the night you wake up because of the noise. We had to put pillows behind the headboard to minimize the noise. My husband even tried tightening the bolts but neither remedy helped much at all. By mid-week, the bathtub was filling with water while showering even though the drain was open.
Lastly, the communication with Vacasa was less than acceptable. I called Amber on Saturday around 4 pm and she arrived Monday around 3 with ice cube trays. I sent her multiple emails on Tuesday to let her know some of the other concerns and she replied that she would forward it to the property ma

First time we’ve rented a lake house and it won’t be the last! Enough for everyone to do and still plenty of relaxing. Better Days was perfect! Quick response when minor issue arose. Couldn’t ask for better service.

We will be back!
We rented this property to go with friends to Lake Anna for my bday. Our 4 year old twins let us know they like the house better than our house. Everyone had their own space and overall everything was well stocked and very nice. We took advantage of the game room and kayaks as well as fishing from the dock. It seems like the owners or managers have taken note on others comments and made improvements (like lights on the back, although we couldn't figure out how to turn them on). The only changes we would make are:
1. Make the stairs a little safer, the edges they put on are splitting and it feels very scary walking up and down the stairs.
2. Wash out the front loading washer (it has been closed while still wet and there is mold/mildew in the rim)
3. Put ant bait on the back deck.... the giant biting ant problem was pretty bad while we were there and my kids were scared to hang on the deck.
Don't get me wrong tho, this place is fantastic and really relaxing! We will visit again 😀

Great place to. stay -- gorgeous location. I had some trouble initially with the front door code, but response was very swift. The accommodations were in pristine condition. The fridge needs a new door.

Nice place!
We had a great time even though we had a winter storm hit the day after we arrived. We lost power for a day but were able to
contact the owner who helped us out with firewood and the generator. The neighbors were very helpful also. Nice place on the lake!

Very quiet get away
Very good and quiet spot to get away for a little winter break. The game room was a huge hit with the kids, plus there is a small flat open space along the driveway where they could play outside. The house itself is nice, if a bit impersonal. It’s very nice, but not something I would rate as five stars. Peaceful neighborhood and very convenient to a grocery store.

A great house, renters well cared for
The house and location are wonderful. The property managers are communicative, easy to work with, and they take good care of the house. It's well stocked with entertainment options to keep you active and having fun with your family or friends for days.

Giving Thanks on Thanksgiving!
So let me get the undesirables out of the way;
Common household items such as bathroom tissue, paper towels, dish and dishwasher detergent were not nearly enough for the length of our stay. For 5 day stay everyone received one bath towel. Lots of trees, lots of leaves.....no rake and no raking, which made walking down to the dock tricky on the slippery leaves. Inside staircase laminate was poorly installed and in need of repair.
Otherwise, the place was very clean, awesome location, very roomy and comfortable. Kids and adults loved the game room. Fishing was excellent. Equipment for water activities more than generous. Guestbook and house information was accurate and easy to understand. Plentiful parking, great boat ramp. All in all , everything exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend to anyone and would definitely return for another stay!!

Accurate name!!
We booked this home for a wedding nearby and added a couple of extra days for family time. This place delivered a WONDERFUL family experience. This was actually my kid's second favorite vacation, topped only by Disney. First of all the house was spotless. The linens are included so that was a huge bonus. More than enough towels, washcloths, and hand towels were provided which was a bonus for our family of 6. The towels were soft and thick too. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and utensils for cooking and a fresh sponge, dish soap, and dishwasher tabs were provided. All of the kid's beds were comfortable. The mattress in the spare room upstairs is very hard but maybe some people like that. The couches upstairs and downstairs are comfy and fit 6 + people nicely. The parts that made this an awesome family experience were the game room, the board games, and the dock. The game room provided HOURS of family fun each day. My kids love fishing and we used the kayaks that were on the dock. It was quiet and peaceful and the HVAC works perfectly. All around this was an excellent choice for a family getaway!! We will be back for sure!!

Stairs!!
It was super clean, very comfy, gameroom was cool. The main complaint that I have is that the pictures don't do justice to the stairs between floors. The first picture shows a ramp, so I thought perfect for when my in-laws come and visit! Picture four shows the stairs Behind the sectional, but I didn't realize what that was. My in-laws literally had to walk around the outside of the house to get to the deck/firepit. The service was great, it was superclean, so I will go with Vacasa again next year, but look for a one-story possibly.

Tranquility.
We had the opportunity to stay a couple of days and enjoy the breathtaking views and true serenity at Better Days. The house us beautiful and has an open airy floor plan. It is fully stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay. There are plenty of amenities if you just want to stay in and cook or bbq with your family. The upper deck is the perfect place to just sit, enjoy a drink or your morning coffee and take in the spectacular view. The game room is chock full of things to do to pass the time. Whether you or young or old, there are games for you to enjoy. With a huge tv it would definitely be a cool place to gather and watch sporting events. Pool table, air hockey, poker table, and basketball are just some of the things you can play. I am looking forward to going back in the winter months to enjoy the fireplace, the fire pit, and the peace and quiet. Once you arrive, and stop at the grocery store only 5 minutes away, you truly never need to leave the premises..

Great family rental
This lakeside house was a great escape. In early October the lake was quiet and the water was still nice to be in. The stairwell into the water made swimming and boat launch easy. The provided kayaks were enjoyable. The house had room to spare and was kept clean. The bed in the main room was fairly comfortable but for light sleepers the bed speaks and the fridge was loud. The kitchen was sparsely stocked- enough pots and pans but even salt and pepper were lacking so bring your own spices and any special cookware (like a waffle maker). But, overall the house was great and we are still missing the easy lake access.

Gorgeous House
