About this house rental
(This house is available for 30+ days or for shorter stays. Please contact host :)
Also, if possible please use the other short term rental platform (Air...) to rent this house.
Large open-plan home tucked in the fir trees with a beautiful view of the golf course. So close to Downtown Bellevue and a short walk to Kelsey Creek and Wilburton Hill Parks. Gourmet kitchen, lots of windows and dbl doors that open on to a beautiful deck overlooking hole #12 of Glendale Country Club. Hot tub on property for guest use.
The space:
As a professor at the University of Washington, I attend several conferences throughout the year (most summers June-Sept I am traveling) . While I am away, I thought it would be nice to offer my house for rent. I'll leave some of my books and articles around the house for your reading pleasure (or if you can't sleep :)
The living room, dining room, and kitchen area is a large open space with vaulted ceilings and impressive territorial views. For more space, on warm days/nights the double back doors swing outward to allow easy access to the deck. The master bedroom, guest bedroom, and office/3rd bedroom have been recently remodeled with refinished floors, new ceilings, and updated furnishings. Both bathrooms upstairs have been totally remodeled and updated. The 4th and 5th bedrooms downstairs have also been refreshed and updated.
Guest access:
Guests will have access to the entire main level and the downstairs (2700 sq feet). The main level includes: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a mud-room, and a garage/gym. The 3rd bedroom upstairs is actually an office that can be used as bedroom (an extra full sized bed/and a twin roll-away bed are stored in the guest bedroom closet). Downstairs includes: a family room, 2 more bedrooms, and a bathroom. Parts of the lower level (the furnace room) are not included. There is available parking in the driveway and on the street.
There is a large deck in the back and covered front porch seating as well. Use of the grill and hot tub (lower patio) are included. Stairs down to the hot tub are located off of the back deck. The hot tub can also be accessed via the back door off of the family room.
Front door access has no steps. Entering through the garage has 2 steps. Table tennis (ping pong) can be set up and played in the garage. Currently, due to the closure of our gym we have set up a workout room in the garage . . . bench press, squat rack, GHD machine, dumbbells, etc. Guests are welcome to use the workout room.
There is wifi and a Sonos system (music/Pandora/etc.). Over the fireplace in the living room, there is a 55 inch Sony flat screen TV (Comcast). For lovers of vinyl records, the living room includes a turntable and a selection of records. Downstairs there is a 65 inch Sony TV in the family room. Grab a drink, open the back doors, put on an album, and experience the pacific northwest.
There is no central AC in the house. We do have portable AC units that we use upstairs in the summer. With the trees and the cooler PNW temperatures, fans have worked fine.
House rules
Check-in: After 4:00 PM
Checkout: 10:00 AM
Self check-in with keypad
Quiet Time after 10pm: This is a sleepy/quiet subdivision . . . please keep the noise down after 10pm. The neighbors love to complain, if there is noise.
Smoking/vaping: No smoking or vaping in the house. Please step outside (front porch, deck, patio) to smoke or vape.
Security Cameras: The front of the house and the back of the house are being monitored by security cameras (the hot tub area is not monitored). We have had renters attempt to have parties, smuggle in pets, take household items, etc. Footage will be viewed only in cases where we suspect the rental agreement has been violated (e.g. neighbors complaining, etc.).
Parties: Small dinner parties are fine (e.g. renters plus 4 guests). Anything larger is prohibited. This is not a party house.
Renter Occupied: We have had issues with adult renters leaving the property for a night or two . . . leaving the house in the hands of their kids (teenagers/young adults). Almost without fail, the kids call friends and the party starts. If there are kids/young adults staying, please do not leave them unaccompanied overnight.
**No Pets: As noted on the rental platform, no pets of any kind (including service animals and emotional support animals) are allowed in this house. Common areas in the house will be used by my family or other guests with bad pet allergies after your departure, so it is not safe to accommodate these animals at this house.
Parking: Please park in the driveway or in front of the house. Please don't park the wrong direction, block the driveway, or block the street.
Trash Day: Friday morning (please set the trash cans out Thursday evening).
Food/Drinks: Feel free to help yourself to any food/drinks/condiments found in the house.
Hot Tub: it’s an old hot tub, so please be gentle.
Garage/Workout area/Dart Board: It has almost everything for a good workout. Use at your own risk. At the bottom of the steps is a dart board. Use at your own risk.
Ping Pong Table: Feel free to set up the ping pong table in the garage. The net and paddles are on the shelf in the garage.
Chimenea: Feel free to use the chimenea on the back deck. Wood/fire logs are in the tub outside on the porch.
Games: The hutch in the living room contains board games etc.
Sonons System: The Sonos system is easy to use and allows guests to stream their own music to various rooms in the house. For example, the guest in the master bedroom can listen to different music from what is playing in the dining room, etc.
Rooms: Each bedroom (except the office) is equipped with a fan, noise machine (falling water etc.), luggage rack, USB/electric port, and extra pillows/blankets. There is a roll-away bed stored in the upstairs guest bed closet.
Tidying Up: Please don’t use abrasives on the soapstone counters in the kitchen . . . a washcloth works fine. Please do the dishes/run the dish washer when you leave.

My only complaint is no central air

I loved staying here while we were at a work conference in Bellevue. It was a few minutes from the Hyatt. The house backs up to a golf course and the view is stunning. Our host was great and I appreciated the quick response to our questions. The one draw back to the house is that there is not central AC but there are window units in the upstairs bedrooms, which worked great.

The house was beautiful and the outdorr areas and views even better. I've never seen any rental more stocked with everything you might possibly need, from toiletries, linens, electronics, fully stocked kitchen and more.

This house was perfect for our family stay - beautiful, quiet neighborhood close to Factoria and downtown Bellevue. The house had ALL the amenities, was clean, beds were SO comfortable, and it was well stocked for anything we needed for a comfortable stay. Adam was VERY responsive with any questions. I would definitely choose to stay here again!

Our stay at the property was an excellent experience. The family was very comfortable with the room and amenities available at the property. The host was very accommodating and provide access to every imaginable need for all of the guests. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful Bellevue home. We enjoyed the lovely setting, view of the peaceful golf course, nicely appointed kitchen and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Great house and location!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at the house. We were a group of 7 adults in town for some family events and some touristy activities. The house was roomy, comfortable and the most generously appointed airbnb rental that we have ever stayed in. The only thing we did not have was a tea kettle - there were two non-coffee drinkers, but we made due. The welcome gifts were greatly appreciated and enjoyed. The location served us well for everything to downtown Seattle to the Mt Vernon tulip festival and the wineries in Woodinville.

A spectacular property
My family and I have stayed at many places using VRBO and this place was far and away the best property we have ever stayed at. Everything was perfect. The view of the golf course in a beautiful living room was breathtaking. We loved the kitchen with every possible thing you could think of for cooking was available. Adam responded immediately if we needed anything and was always checking in to see if everything was ok. I highly recommend this property. We will be back.

Comfort on the Green!
We had a wonderful stay at this home. It had a wonderful view of the golf course and was very comfortable!! This house has anything you could possibly need and more. Our guests loved the ping pong and large TV’s. It is also very close to a park and stores, but has a very private feel about it.
