comfortable beds, good location close to Harvard campus
not clean. stains on sofa. very sparse furnishings. separate Zelle deposit was annoying. Had to request deposit refund after checkout, not automatic as it should be.

Close for shopping, and easy excess to city
Nothing to do with apartment, but hard to get WiFi in boston. Could not use mobile data to expensive. Some restaurants were good to book cabs for us.

It was overall wonderful! The property was well decorated. It had everything we needed while cooking. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful time!
The heater was a little slow so the room was a bit cold

The place was clean, with full-sized modern appliances in excellent (and clean!) condition. The host was very friendly and communicative and took care of some small special requests we had. Quiet street in a neighborhood which looks like it's being gentrified. No dedicated parking, but almost always found a spot on the street right outside. Small park down the block the kids enjoyed. Big Walgreens pharmacy around the corner came in handy. Almost any other store we needed (supermarket, Target, takeout, etc.) within a 7- to 10-minute drive away.
It was a big plus for our weekend stay that it's within walking distance to Brookline (about a mile and a half) as well as within "carrying-range" (the host provided an alternative to the electric door lock which we asked about in advance).
Cons I knew about in advance:
It was a bit small, but the inside was exactly as described (one of the pictures on the website is a floor-plan of the unit we stayed in with dimensions).
It's in a residential neighborhood, so not walking distance to any attractions or restaurants. Not really a con if that's what you're looking for.
Cons I didn't know about in advance:
The listing said there was a balcony; there was none. There's a small yard, but it did not seem to be maintained (all it really needed was a good mowing to be useable).
The wifi was a little flakey, and I couldn't find the router to reboot it when it went down (we think it might have been in the downstairs apartment).
Owner asked for security deposit via Zelle, which is only available for people who have accounts at certain US banks, or have a US-based credit card and US mobile number, which may be a problem for those coming in from abroad. However, the owner was accommodating enough about other things that I assume this would be able to be worked out (we found a solution on our own), but it was another thing to deal with, despite the listing saying that a cash deposit was required.

Great place to stay with good amenities and stocked with supplies. The owner was very communicative and understanding. He was able to assist us with any concerns or issues. Also, prompt replies. The location was quite and close to things to do. There is a security deposit that was returned ASAP after checkout. Highly recommended.
