About this house rental
El Romeral - meaning the place where pilgrims came to rest. A most appropriate name for this beautiful south facing traditional Spanish villa. Extremely well located in the private exclusive urbanisation of Pla del Mar in the quiet cul de sac of Oceano Artico.
The villa is so close to all that Moraira has to offer that it seems hard to appreciate the quietness & tranquility of the location. Turn left out of the villa and just a 5 min walk away is the village of Moraira, turn left out of the villa & a 10 min will take you to the glorious bay of El Portet and cafes. The1st class local beaches are all EEC Blue Flag approved. El Romeral is of traditional old Spanish origins it has tastefully refurbished throughout but still retains character and ambience, enjoy the large secure gardens with various terraces & patios enjoying both full sun & shade, far reaching views to Calpe Rock & the mountains beyond, the ideal place for a relaxing well rested holiday

Lovely sized property and great location for walking into town and to the beach. Pool was bigger than we thought it was from the pictures. We had a lovely week with older teens who all had their own rooms and could make the most of coming back later than is in the evenings!

The villa is in an amazing location, 10 minutes from the centre of Moraira which is a beautiful small town. The villa has plenty of room in the gardens with shade and sun. The pool is a good size and well maintained. The master bedroom is lovely and big. The kitchen looks s very well equipped with everything you need to cook meals. Overall a wonderful stay

We had a lovely family holiday at this beautiful villa in May. The location is great, its in a quiet area but only a 10 minute walk into Moraira and 15 minute walk to El Portet beach which is stunning (both uphill on the way back). Th Villa was very well equipped with everything we needed. The outdoor areas of the villa are lovely, loads of space in the sun and shade and a great view from the roof terrace. Plenty of room for our family of 6 and the kids enjoyed the pool, the outdoor shower and all the equipment provided. Bernard was helpful meeting us on arrival and showing us around. A great base for our holiday.

El Romeral is a comfortable, spacious and well equipped villa in a great location with easy access for the shops, bars, restaurants and beaches in both Moraira and El Portet. The outside areas with plenty of shade, sun loungers and a newly refurbished pool greatly contribute to a really relaxed holiday location. The air conditioning was appreciated with outside temperatures reaching 35 C and the TV with Sky allowed for keeping up to date with the Premier League and Velta Espana. So we had a truly excellent holiday.

Beautiful, characterful, well-kept house in fab location. Central to the little town and one beach walkable and others serviced (July, Aug, Sept) by a free bus with a nearby bus-stop. Perfect. Dealing with the host, and especially her on site managers, was lovely and easy. There is an issue with the pool though which might affect families with small children who like to be in it for long hours - you can't wear sunscreen as it affects the water. My kids have outgrown this stage (sadly) but i think this fair to flag because i would have found this really difficult to manage. However the owner is aware now and may well be seeking a remedy. I don't like saying anything negative because it really is a lovely house.

Amazing home from home
The property was clean and amazingly well equipped. There was just about everything we could possibly need. With air conditioning in all the bedrooms it meant we all slept wonderfully in the comfortable beds. The outside space was fantastic with many shady nooks to hide from the heat of the sun when necessary. There were loads of seating options including sofas, sun loungers and large tables to easily accommodate a large group easily. The pool was perfect and kept us all cool as well as providing much needed entertainment for the kids. The town itself was easy to walk to as long as you don't mind a bit of a hill to walk back up and all facilities are there for you to enjoy. The plus side of the hill is the amazing views from the property and especially the top balcony. We had a wonderful stay and hope to be back.

Lovely Villa in Moraira
We had a great stay at this lovely villa, the pool is incredible and was well worth paying the extra to heat in early November. The house is spacious and the outside is really nice - lots of little spots to sit and relax and enjoy! Djenane and Bernard were very helpful and we had everything we needed for a great stay. It's a short walk down a quiet road to the restaurants and bars of Moraira or El Portet. Hope to be back again sometime!

Moraira Vacation
We loved our stay. Heated pool in late October was fab. Sea water temperature was still around 22 degrees. Lovely villa, was nicer than I was expecting. Great location, only short walk to town centre and beautiful El Portet beach in the other direction.
Thanks!

A traditional an stunning Spanish villa
I visited the villa in September and couldn’t have asked for a more elegant villa. The villa has a traditional Spanish feel with plenty of space. Outside you will find a lovely swimming pool with big outdoor sofas to relax and enjoy a cocktail, not to mention the views. The villa is equipped with plenty of sun loungers, games, a BBQ, and several eating areas to enjoy the sun. Inside, you will find a very comfortable open plan lounge/dinning room with big sofas and a large dining table to enjoy a family meal. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances and the bedrooms were large and to a high standard. I would recommend the top bedroom which has stunning views. Location wise is perfect just a short walk from the shops, restaurants and beaches yet situated in a very peaceful and tranquil area. All the neighbours seemed very friendly and the area had a safe feel. All in All a thumbs up from me and I will be looking forward to my next visit.

Home from home feel
Superb 2 weeks in the sun. Booked the villa for my daughter’s 30th birthday. Arrived at the villa to find a bottle sparkling wine and birthday card that she really appreciated. The villa is in an excellent location, with a short walk to all the amenities and beaches. The outside space and pool provide ample space for bathers, BBQ and sitting in the shade. Seven adults were easily accommodated in the house, providing a home from home feel.

Perfect family holiday villa
Our family of 5 (kids aged 13,11 and 8) stayed here in early July and this was overall the best villa we have stayed in (of the 10 or so we have rented over recent years).
The location is hard to beat, 5 mins walk to Supercor (a small but well stocked in-town supermarket, like sainsbury's local but better, open 8am til 2am the following morning), bakery, shops, restaurants and ice cream parlour. A full scale Pepe la Sal supermarket (think reasonably priced spanish Waitrose) is about another 5 mins walk, and there are 4 or 5 other supermarkets within a 5 min drive, they stock a pretty decent selection of british products if thats what you are looking for.
Beautiful beach at El portet is 10 mins walk, and about 10 mins to the main Moraira each. There are watersports activities at both, we did kyaking, standup paddle board and the total wipeout style inflatable but there are also waterslide pedalos, parascending, banana boat etc. In the edge of town is AV Karting (pricey at 24euros for 8mins) which has carts for all ages and which our kids really enjoyed.
The villa is well equipped, we particularly appreciated the satellite TV (meant we were able to watch Andy Murray win his second Wimbledon and euro 2016 on BBC). The table tennis and good selection of outsize garden games (connect 4, Jenga, Chess, Dominos, pickup sticks, badminton) kept the kids entertained and they loved the pool (unheated but it was over 30deg for the entire holiday, we used the pool cover to keep the heat in at night). There was also a good selection of inflatables for the kids, the pool volleyball was played endlessly.
Alison (owner) was super responsive with our enquires during booking and Ray (based in Moraira and looks after el Romeral) was very helpful when we needed to reset the circuit breaker and replace a couple of lightbulbs. We also appreciated the welcome pack (milk, water, bread, butter and especially the cava) since we arrived at 10pm.
Moraira is a lovely town with a broad selection of bars, cafes and reasonably priced restaurants. Many of them offer takeway which was very easy given the close proximity of the villa. There is a refreshing absence of people trying to push you into their bar or restaurant and people selling knock off goods on the street. We ate out every other night and ate on the terrace at the villa in between, making good use of the bbq.
Overall a top place and we're planning to return soon :-)

The perfect place!
My family and I can't say enough wonderful things about this villa. It is beautiful, spacious, very well maintained and clean. The patio area is large and gorgeous as well - my family thoroughly enjoyed spending time outside, grilling and eating by the pool. The location is wonderful as well. There are so many places to eat and shop and the beaches are close by as well. The owners are absolutely wonderful to work with. I highly recommend staying here and we sincerely hope to be able to go back in a couple of years. One of the best and most memorable vacations we've had!!

Another wonderful holiday at El Romeral
We have just returned from a great family holiday at the very spacious and comfortable El Romeral. This was our second holiday at the villa, which for our family, ranging from 2 to 68 years young is ideally centrally located. To underline the point we have just booked for two weeks in the summer of 2016.
The outside space and amenities including the heated pool are excellent with far reaching views of the sea. My only negative comment is our two weeks at the villa went by too fast!!

Great May Break
Our family was looking for a villa to cater for 4 couple. El Romeral was that villa.
Everything about it met our expectations.
Location: 5 minutes’ walk from town and supermarket. 10 minutes’ walk to Moraira beach and the same for El Portet beach.
Bedrooms: All good size, well furnished. The upper room being the premier.
Bathrooms: Again good size, modern, with one containing a washing machine (if that's your thing). Two with walk in showeres.
Lounge/Diner: Again good size for 8 people, although we hardly used either accept for passing through or watching the football.
Kitchen: Well equipped, good size, american fridge freezer. Mainly used for food prep, not much cooking.
Outside Space: Superb. Three outside eating areas, two of which catered for 8. Plenty of shade, plenty of space for 8 sunbeds and table tennis table (plus many other outside games). Beautiful aspect and gardens. The pool was bigger than we expected and again easily accommodated 8 adults at once. Upstairs was a solar area, where you get the early and late sun. A favorite with our group. Outside cooking oven, where most of our meals were cooked.
In summation this is an excellent villa, to which we would happily return.
Add to this the lovely town of Moraira, this was an ideal place for a relaxing break.

Wonderful villa
Our second stay in El Romerol was very enjoyable and relaxing. We were very appreciative of the central heating as Spain was suffering the coldest February in several years. The villa is very user friendly and the new Wet room in the downstairs bathroom a delight.I did make use of the pool , briefly, although unheated, it was so lovely, clean and inviting. The villa is so close to Moraira and it really does only take a few minutes to walk to some lovely restaurants, our favourite is D'guste. Our previous visit was high summer but the villa is in a superb location anytime of year.

The best villa we have ever rented in Moraira
We have been holidaying in Moraira for the last 10 years and have hired numerous villas. El Romeral was by far the best villa we have ever stayed in. The grounds were fantastic with a choice of 3 eating areas and most of our evenings were spent on the comfy sofa and chairs overlooking the pool with a glass of wine! The swimming pool was well used and safe for the children with its proximity to the seating areas. We were 3 generations of a family and the upstairs bedroom suite proved a haven for the grandparents! Kitchen was well equipped and the kids particularly loved the American fridge/freezer with its icemaker and filtered water. The lounge was spacious and comfy as were all the bedrooms. The agents, Ray and Barry were great especially when a member of our family was taken ill and they arranged for medical assistance for which we were most grateful. Alison was very helpful from the start of the booking process right through to being in contact on our return home. We would not hesitate in recommending El Romeral and hope to return again in the near future.

Wonderful Holiday. (Best Ever from Australia)
Well what can I say, we are all back home and I wish that we were all still back in Moraira at the lovely Villa El Romeral. My family (five adults one teenager and three young children 7,4 & 2 all had a wonderful time. The Villa was particularly spacious and comfortable and I felt very at home. As we had young children with us, we had most of our meals at the Villa. The kitchen proved to be perfect and the dining facility just the job. The provision of the Sky TV was great for the youngsters to watch before breakfast. Waiting for us oldies to get up. I myself find it difficult to walk without crutches but I found all locations within the lovely grounds to be accessible. The icing on the cake was the wonderful private pool. Even I managed to get in which I would never have achieved in a hotel public pool. My Younger daughter came with her young son from Sydney Australia and had a perfect holiday and wants to return as soon as possible. The grounds were really lovely with all the wonderful exotic plants a real treat to sit on the lower patio with pleasant drink in the early evening after the children had gone to bed. We enjoyed visiting the pretty town of Moraira where we spent happy hours visiting two lovely restaurants over looking the harbour. My wife enjoyed the many shops in the town while I visited the special ice-cream bar with my grandchildren (Snickers ice-cream )We will all look forward to visiting Moraira and the lovely Villa El Romeral in the near future.

Excellent relaxing holiday at El Romeral
Our 7 member family group spent an excellent relaxing week at El Romeral, Moraira. We all had plenty of space to ourselves and made full use of the pool and outdoor eating areas. Clean, well maintained, we would certainly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a similar vacation. Moraira itself is big enough to have plenty of places to wine and dine but retains the small town feel which we thoroughly enjoyed. No batallions of high rise towers in this neighbourhood. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect in every respect.
We( 4 adults, 1 teenager and 2 children,1.5 & 3.5 years old) have just spent 2 weeks at Romeral. Apart from to and from the airport we did not use the hire car. This is the perfect family holiday the villa is delightful, spacious, very well equipted with a beautiful pool and plenty of places to relax, both in and out of the sun. Up market safe resiential location ideal for the beaches and the town both being just a few minutes walk away. Plenty to do for all ages, our grandson did not get back to the villa some nights till 7 am next morning. He was out with other family members of a similar age staying at another villa just up the road. The 2 little ones had a great time the only way we could get them off the beach was to bribe them with ice creams. The weather was traffic ranging from 24 to 30 degrees every day. We hope to go back next year for another 2 weeks, if Ailson the owner will let us. This is our third holiday in a row in different villas in Moraira and it will not be our last.

Stunning villa in a perfect location.
We have just returned from a 3 generation family holiday at El Romeral, and had a wonderful week. The villa is exceptional and everything had been thought of and provided to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. We loved the peace and privacy of the grounds and the swimming pool (heated) was in constant use. The upper bedroom and balcony was a haven of tranquillity for us grandparents, with amazing sea views. Moraira itself is truly a short stroll away, and has something for all ages - countless good quality cafes bars and restaurants to suit every budget, lovely beach and marina and great shops to browse. The colourful Friday market was a highlight for us. The owners could not have been more helpful, and I have no hesitation in recommending their beautiful villa, which would provide a great holiday for anyone. Can't wait to go again!

Wonderful
When you walk around the villa you notice all the attention to detail and how clean it all is. The outside space is large and plenty of Sun beds. The pool was heated for our stay and it was like getting into a warm bath.
The villa has everything you could need from fully fitted kitchen even down to an egg timer.
One thing I must say and is very rare THE BED WAS COMFORTABLE. The whole villa was comfortable and well the views are the icing on the cake. We had a wonderful stay w e had no complaints at all but on our welcome letter we were informed that a local couple were on hand if we had any problems they would be available to help.
The village itself has plenty of great shops bars and some great restaurants to suit all budgets.
We had a wonderful week my only complaint is that it wasn't a longer stay

Comfortable and extremely well located.
This was our fifth family visit to El Romeral and once again it didn't disappoint. Fantastically well equipped villa with everything one could need and superbly located. Alison has always been extremely helpful and the managing agents in Spain (Ray and Barry) ensure that you are well looked after. Great pool and a wealth of space outside and in the villa. The main beach and town are a short walk with the beautiful bay at El Portet maybe a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction. Fantastic restaurants in the town all of which are extremely child friendly and a permanent fair adjacent to the main car park which our 6, 3 and 18 month olds seemingly insist on visiting almost In short, great villa for the whole family, all ages, in an enviable location. Looking forward to the opportunity to visit again!

Simply Stunning!
Wow! What a place! The villa was immaculate with everything we could have possibly needed and the area is superb. A short walk to the tasteful town centre and its buzzing restaurants and quirky shops. A lovely stroll in the opposite direction and within ten minutes you reach El Portet which is like a little bit of paradise, clear water, clean, sheltered beach, lovely little cafe for fresh seafood and chilled vinho! I would recommend El Romeral to anyone, can't wait to go again. Thanks for a great time!

Wonderful villa, wonderful area
It was a wonderful villa, very well maintained and clean. The premises have a large swimming pool, terraces and patios in a secure and quite area. The Village of Moraire is only a five minute walk away. it has very good restaurants, shops and is clean and trouble free. There are lovely beaches, a harbour and easy walks with good cafes and wonderful views along the way. You will not be bored and I would recommend the villa to anyone with or without children.

Fabulous Villa
Having been to Moraira twice before El Romeral was in a perfect location, an easy walk into Moraira and El Portet although a bit more effort needed to walk back up...
We found it spotlessly clean on arrival, the kitchen was very well equipt, the bedrooms were very comfortable and the lounge/dining area were lovely and cosy.
The outside space was exeptional, many different areas for sitting, eating, sunbathing etc. The rattan suite overlooking the pool and the rising sun was perfect for the first coffee of the day. The villa had lovely sea views and very well maintained and pretty gardens with a fab built in bbq.
Lots of extras were included in the price which is very unusual, hairdryers, beach towels, free wifi and a welcome pack.
Booking the villa was a pleasant and easy experience and the owners were very helpful and prompt to reply to any questions we had.
I cannot reccommend this villa highly enough and will definately book again in the future.
