Soggiorno splendido oltre ogni aspettativa

Albergo fantastico per la posizione centralissima di fronte al lago e alla partenza dei piccoli battelli per le isole Borromee. Dispone di posto auto gratuito assolutamente essenziale vista la difficoltà nel parcheggiare a Stresa. Lo staff è molto gentile e cordiale e la camera assolutamente ampia( noi ne avevamo una col terrazzino), con prese elettriche ovunque (perfino quella americana) e col parquet (niente moquette). Infine una colazione davvero top sia per il salato (ho contato 6 tipi di pane diversi) che soprattutto per il dolce con torte fatte in casa, piccoli dolcetti al cucchiaio oltre alle brioche di più tipi, nutelline ecc ecc. Difficile fare di meglio.

Lage und das freundliche Personal

Zimmer war unangenehm warm, sodass wir mit offenen Fenster geschlafen haben, im Oktober und aussentemperatur von 11 Grad. Klimaanlage war sehr lärmig.

Excellent petit déjeuner avec vue splendide sur le lac .Chambre très confortable et spacieuse .Emplacement idéal à proximité du centre ville et des départs de bateau . Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel

Bell'albergo!

Ci vuole dieci minuti a piedi dalla stazione, ma basta sempre scendere. La struttura è molto facile di trovare! La ottima colazione ,molto varia e poi particorare. Staffs sono molto simpatici è disponibili. mi sono piaciuti Piemontesi!

Heerlijke paar dagen gehad in dit hotel,

Wij verbleven op de 5e verdieping, de junior suite. wij hadden een geweldig uitzicht over het meer en de boulevard. het zwembad achter het hotel is ook heerlijk. genoeg bedjes om lekker rond het zwembad in de zon te liggen.

We waren in principe over alles tevreden. Enige punt is dat de mensen die in de horeca werken zo slecht engels spreken of gewoon helemaal niet. In dit hotel waren op het moment dt wij er waren veel ouderen en vooral veel Engelsen zou dat toch wel handig zijn.

Stunning hotel overlooking the lake. Staff very personable and attentive . Rooms large , plenty of space. Great breakfast selection.

Only could do with tea/ coffee in the room just for that first drink when you wake up before going for breakfast

A nice spot for a night in Stresa

Incredible view and location. We loved being able to look over the lake from our balcony. Staff were very helpful.

Worth a visit for a couple of days. Would stay there again

Nice pool. Breakfast was good quality and tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is also very convenient, close to the train station and a short walk from down town.

The rooms are very small and cramped. The place urgently needs to be updated as it feels dated

Very enjoyable stay,once more.

As returning customers,we knew what to expect with regards to location, standard of room and cleanliness. All excellent.Breakfast was more than adequate. Lounge facilities very comfortable and genial bar staff.

We are independent travellers, unfortunately priority is giving to the coach tour visitors in Astoria. As a result, we only booked B & B. The evening meal menu was geared to the package booking. We preferred to visit the restaurants in town in the evening - only a short stroll along the lake side.

High expectations but poor results, get your priorities right!

Hotel and the staff were very helpful

Aircon not working.managers explanation was a joke.Bar staff, one person,he was more concerned about the hotel closing for winter than keeping his bar stocked properly for the paying customers. Priority was the hotel needs and not the customers, very poor service definitely won't be returning.

Fantastic restaurant, average room.

Fantastic restaurant, very helpful and warm staff who was kind towards my family, with a baby bambina, and me.

We had a suite, which was not meeting our expectations. Ants in the room, which was not possible to remove completely during our stay, no refund when we made the reception aware of this at check out.

Centrally located, very helpful staff.

The location was perfect. The staff was so helpful. Example: had a staff member take us to the train station because taxis were tied up in a different town. Breakfast was in a large room with a gorgeous view and the food was fine and plentiful.

The bed was uncomfortable The breakfast choice Myself and my Husband have stayed in four star hotels in many different countries over the years. I have to be honest the dining room would look much better with some new pure white table cloths and a fresh new modern decoration. More options of fresh fruit and healthy nut choices and individual yogurts and choice of cooked egg options. In the bedroom the bed was uncomfortable and there should be tea,coffee and free bottled water each day which should be standard with a Four star rated hotel.

up‘s and down‘s

The pool area is totally new and really great, also the pool boy there is doing a great job. The internet is working quite well, when you are ones connected. The bellboy‘s and the staff at the reception are very polite and helpful. The location of the hotel was great, a few minutes walk to the city center where a lot of excellent restaurants are located. The hotel bar is very good.

The rooms are a bit outdated but in acceptable conditions (no serious damages). The AC was not really working efficient (quite old as well). The spring mattress in our room was totally rocked, should be changed asap. The quality of the vegetables and fruits at the breakfast are not the best ones, at least not 4star worthy. The staff at the breakfast was inattentive and not polite, we felt not welcome.

It was very good time spent with family in Astoria.

Hotel is very cosy and clean. Brekfast was very delicious with beatifull lake view from the restorane. Pool with jakuzzi was nice and clean.

Pillows were very small and uncomfortable.

Satisfactory but not exceptional.

Hotel is well situated on the main Stresa promenade, short walk fro the town centre. Its one of a number of traditional grand hotels on the front and it broadly meets expectations.

Parking at the rear of the hotel can be a problem...more cars than space causing double parking and some inconvenience. It was very warm when we stayed but no option for 'Al fresco' dining so we dined out for the 3 nights we stayed.
