It’s like staying in a Parador at a quarter of the price.
They only provide decaffeinated coffee for breakfast - take your own preferred nespresso pods.

extraordinary building and very interesting
it was hard to find the entrance, and my room, because it was not clear that the enormous convent was actually the hostel, and inside was vast corridors with no signs to show where the rooms were

Amazing buildings, great to have the entire hostel to ourselves! (Private en suite room would still be good if the dormitories were full of young people.) I recommend going into the convent for breakfast! Only 5 euros.
It’s early January and it got cold during the night, we didn’t have any heating that we could control.

The hostel is wonderful and within a beautiful estate. I don’t know if this is common but we had the place to ourselves! the staff were very friendly as were the nuns who live in the main building. the breakfast was extremely generous and the hostel was well set up for us to cook our own dinner in the evening. In the morning we walked the beautiful grounds. A stay I will remember for a long time!

Piece & Quiet, the fact that it was an ancient Jezuit convent. Kitchen to be used freely, cheap. The neighborhood smelled really nice! Like sandal tree, but no sandal trees there. Strange. Bugt nice :)
Awfully hot (no air confitioning). Room very spartan and the shower sink extremely small. Yet, it was possible to shower and not to wet all the floor - good curtain! :)

Excellent location & very peaceful. Beautiful surroundings & buildings. Extremely clean swimming pool. Staff very accommodating and friendly.
Bed was a little uncomfortable.

A unique experience that is worth trying. Very nice rooms and a peaceful place to get some sleep. The women that run it were very kind and helpful.
I think Jesús is a little out of the way and there is not much to do off of the campus. Also I think the dinner is a little pricey at 12 Euros. I wouldnt mind a bit less food for a cheaper price.

Wonderful place. Oozes ambience and full of interest. Friendly welcome once I got in
Had a bit of difficulty working out that the alberg was hidden behind a big gate and wasn't sure when I rang the bell. Having the number on the gate would help

Unique place to stay. Beautiful convent! Great breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

The setting of the hostel is beautiful. The facilities were excellent and having use of the pool was great. The staff were amazing and let us use the laundry facilities in the main house. Couldn't recommend this place enough for a relaxing stay and as a base to explore Tortosa. Tip/ you can get a circular bus from Tortosa centre to the hostel neighborhood if you travel to Tortosa by train like we did. It's worth knowing since the hostel is set a little out of the city centre.

Super clean and amazing vibe to sleep in a monastery!

Very different. Quiet in beautiful setting.
Having to phone for access after 10pm. No evening meals.

Staff is very helpful and polite. The gardens and swimming pool are wonderful. Breakfast is very good for the price point. The squirrels playing in the trees, the silence, the proximity to Els Ports natural park...
After 22.00 you can not exit the main building where the rooms are situated. The main door is locked and no smoking is allowed in the building.

Peaceful setting, beautiful architecture. Great food. Friendly staff. It is a 'working' convent with the Sister's living there also. There is a Chapel in the centre of the building that they were regularly praying in, you could join the services if you wished
Hygiene standards not brilliant, toilet was dirty when I arrived. Had fleas in bed, when I informed reception they didn't seem to believe me and kept saying it was mosquitoes. I know the difference and watched them jumping on the bed not flying. The room had insect netting on the windows so no flies or mosquitoes could get in. Only provided with 1 x shower gel sachet for 2 x nights stay.

The hotel was unexpected, the property is very beautiful in a monastery. Nice room, pretty comfortable, helpful, and kind staff. Not far from El Ebro Delta!
The food is a little bit overpriced but overall no complaints!

I thought the place was very beautiful, set in amazing grounds. The staff were lovely.
I think when everyone checks in we should be given a map of the place as its very big with lots of various rooms easy to get lost.. Plus the pool is quite a walk from the grounds... (Map needed). The kitchen wasn't very well equipped as could have done with basics like salt pepper and cooking oil...

This is a fabulous and monumental old building. The architecture is simply dazzling. I'm told it was built in 1896 and completed in 1911. I felt I was in another time zone! There are large grounds where one can enjoy a walk among gardens and fruit orchards. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable, the staff is very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Even though the building is old it has been well looked after and maintained and the room I stayed in has been refurbished to very comfortable conditions. I strongly recommend it and I will be back!
