The staff was very helpful, coming over later in the evening after closing to help sort out an issue with our room key. The rooms were neatly presented, and tea and sugar plus a kettle were available in each room. Whilst there was no AC, fans were provided which helped with the warm weather.
I liked that there was an arrangement for people to check in when they arrived after the reception closes. The process is however not made very obvious and is not communicated well in advance of arrival.
The lack of a lift, meaning one had to drag bags and suitcases up 5 flights of stairs was a bit challenging after a long day of traveling. It would have been nice for the hotel to message guests their reception closing times and check-in arrangements for late arrival (one would need a functioning phone to call or use Whatsapp which can be challenging if one runs out of charge or isn't roaming). Though we got to park for free as we arrived on a Sunday (which is a free parking day in the nearby parking area), it would be nice to have free parking all day, all week.

Absolutely awesome attention, I come afer the sunday 3rd of aprily general failure of the NL train network, that leave thousands of travelers from germany dropped in cities like Mönchengladbach, close to the NL frontier.
I was traveling home with a wounded feet in a direct ICE train from Frankfurt to Utretch to meet my doctor after a cure in a german hospital but my train was stopped and cancelled. I was not able to take buses so I need for a solution to stay in the meanwhile my friends come to pick me up from NL.
I look for the closest hotel to the Hauptbahnhof, and I really hit the right button.... they given me access in an easy way, easy and friendly check in and the help of the hotel team was really good and make my live easy: they help me with the luggage, help me so I can have anything that I need without puting my foot in risk.
And in the hotel quality, was perfect, the rooms are really wonderful, enormous, with a very good taste in the furniture and nice colors. The beds are really comfortable and the cleanliness was brilliant. Enormous windows with perfect isolation towards the big square where the nice building of the HfB is. Also lot of shops and life around.
Also I had the breakfast and was a shelf with more than enough quality stuff for a breakfast in a very tidy breakfast room. Also the cappucino I have was very good.
Very good experience but with a plus for the exceptional situation perfectly managed by the hotel. An 11, but the program only let me to mark until 10.

Proximity to the train station
Breakfast was very basic though the staff were helpful. Check in was complicated and involved having to phone a staff member.
