We will definitely stay here again. The owner is very timely in responses and cares about his guests. The house is well-equipped. Things we don’t consider until it’s not good but this place nailed it: fast WiFi, Water pressure and temperature are great, easy access in the water with steps, great appliances, Very comfortable beds. Good location by car to the dollar general and By boat the Chucks and Chimney Rock. Thank you!

We stayed at Big Water View from June 26 - June 29, 2024. The lake house was very clean and had all the amenities anyone would need for their stay. The view from the back deck was the highlight of the stay. We spent much of our time on the deck drinking coffee in the morning and eating lunches and dinners. It was perfect to simply stare out at the lake and take your mind off of everything. The owner did a great job of communicating and was more than accommodating when we decided to add an additional day. This is a great lake house to spend a weekend or a week. We highly recommend this property.

The property was clean inside but felt like the deck needed to be cleaned up. I swept and cleaned some of the area outside while I was staying over the weekend.

This is a Great Lake house in a great location

Very nice property owner was super helpful and responsive and views and location were amazing. Parking can be a little tricky with more than 2 cars but doable. We had a great time. Would highly recommend.

I highly recommend this beautiful home! Checked all the boxes for a relax comfy stay! My only regret is we were unable to stay longer! Rent this property, views, outside fire pit etc. we thoroughly enjoyed our time here! Wonderful responsive host-100%

Wife and I along with our pup enjoyed our stay. John was easy to work with and very responsive.

Great time, amazing view! Easy 35 minute drive to Auburn. Will definitely stay here again!

The house was beautifully decorated, warm and inviting, with stunning views of the lake right when you walk in the front door. We loved enjoying the large deck off of the living room and the dock is right off of the deck stairs. We cooked the majority of the time we were there and loved using the beautiful and high-tech kitchen. Everything was well stocked (coffee k cups, seasonings, plenty of toilet paper, towels, and toiletries). Owner responded to messages quickly and was very accommodating with check in/check out times. 5 stars, we would love to come stay again!!

Stayed in John's house for 5 days alone just to totally unplug. Its an adorable, cozy and yet updated cabin with an extraordinary view of the lake. Been coming to Lake Martin since 1982 and the location by land and water is ideally convenient to everything you'd want to do. Will rent again!

We had a wonderful stay at this place on Lake Martin. Big water view without being directly on a main channel. Just a few minutes by boat to a couple restaurants (Kowliga and The Social). Weather wasn’t great while we were there so it limited our time out on the lake. However, the views from this place still made the trip worth it. Can’t get more on the water than this place! Water was clear, can see and walk down a couple steps to the sandy bottom, cute little beach right next door. Could see a lot of fish swimming around the dock, ducks came by to hang out a few times a day, and a couple turtles. The beach is for the neighborhood so on the weekend there were families playing there, but very quiet during the week. We docked our boat at the house a few days, very easy access to do so. I didn’t need to contact the host for anything which was nice! We exchanged a few introductory messages and the host quickly responded. There is no freezer in the house, only two small fridges and a nice ice maker, but there was a deep freezer below the deck. That worked for our needs, just a bit of a surprise to start with. Air conditioner worked GREAT! Important to mention since it got so hot while we were there :) Highly recommend this place.

The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The property has a community private beach next door and serves as a great swimming area. The water is nice and clear on this side of the lake and the lake bottom is sandy, which is nice compared to red clay mud. The unit could use a deep cleaning but it was not too bad. The dock is large enough for a 22’ boat to dock on the deeper side of the dock. The metal dock and deck furniture could be upgraded. Great restaurants nearby and easy access to them by boat or car. Parking is a little tricky since there are only two small parking spots but there is additional grassy spots to park across from the property as a first come first serve basis. Overall a great vacation and nice little lake cabin retreat. With a little updating and cleaning it could be even better. The host John is very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. Amazing sunrises from the back deck and you can take a short boat ride out of the cove to watch the amazing sunsets to the west. Missing the lake already!!!

House was nice but needs a deep cleaning of couches, chairs, mattress pads and bedding also deck and outside furniture needs attention.
4.8
Nice and comfortable house. We enjoyed the easy access to the lake from the steps and dock.

The Lake house was exactly what I was hoping for and a good bit more!
Though remodeled, the old school charm has been retained, but with many modern comforts like cold AC, High speed internet, hot showers, and 2 functioning bathrooms. The interior space is small, yet oddly spacious. The appliances were all of a higher grade than most vacation rentals where I have stayed. The ice maker was tops!
My favorites were the shallow sandy beach for the grandkids. A place to tie up the ski boat at the dock, and internet for the teens… The place is fairly secluded, tucked into a small bay. We enjoyed the peace and quiet there. Saw lots of wildlife like lake turtles, large bass fish, and ducks.
My only complaint was a good bit of poison ivy growing near the lower deck area. A groundskeeper should eliminate it before someone's kid gets in it.
I would return here in a heartbeat!

Well equiped, comfortable property.

Beautiful view, owner was very responsive and addressed any issues/questions promptly. Kid friendly. We would stay here again, may need a deep cleaning inside and outside to remove spiderwebs/cobwebs.
4.8
The outside deck was dirty. Cushions old and furniture was old and everything was dirty outside. Most chairs did not have cushions and chaise lounges were just metal- very uncomfortable.
Watch out for hidden fees- additional fee $400 and no one could ever tell me what that was for

Our son graduated from Auburn on Saturday and we enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle at this lovely lake house.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at this beautiful lake house! Even though we got a late start and arrived after dark, our path was easily lit with sensor lights. We were immediately charmed by the stone path and landscaping. Entering the home was easy and the kids were excited about their bunk room! Though we spent most of our time outside, they enjoyed imaginative play with the top bunk during our week-long stay. The great room is well-appointed and cozy! We were excited to discover a built-in ice maker in the kitchen, and the under-counter refrigerators make the whole space feel very streamlined. It was nice to have extra counter space to keep our various items that didn't have a home. The pantry was open and we were able to keep our cooler and other items in it. All the furniture was comfortable, and the kitchen island served very well as a dining table. We spent so much time on the amazing back deck that has stairs down to a stone patio and wooden dock. The view from the home seems infinite, as it is situated not in a small cove, but at the very center of the lake, so you can look out across an endless expanse of water! Adjacent to the stone patio, through a hedge break, is a sandy beach where the kids and dog enjoyed playing. The kids also appreciated the outdoor shower for warming up before plunging back into the water! We fished off the dock and used it to tie up our rental boat. Every day ducks came to beg for food and the amazing stone steps into the water served as a perfect place to throw bread crumbs. Mid-week the internet went out, which, as small business owners was a concern. John, the owner, was immediately available and hugely helpful in helping resolve the issue. We were grateful for his attentiveness. One of the best parts of our trip was being able to have our 45lb lab mix with us. She enjoys water SO much, and it was such a joy to see her in her natural element. We enjoyed our stay immensely, and really hope to be able to return! Thank you for a wonderful week of true relaxation!

This was a nice clean cabin with Great Lake side views! The dock was in great shape and all was as it was stated in the listing. We enjoyed the fire pit and grills right next to the water. We will definitely come again in the summer!

John was wonderful, accommodating our changing needs Very quickly to respond The house was great, close to our new build so it was convenient. Can’t beat the views from the minute you walk in the door The bed though!!!! Super comfortable king bed in the room w the view!

We enjoyed our stay. Enjoyed sitting on the deck. Perfect place for a family getaway.

Stylish lakefront property with everything we needed to relax and unwind!

We had a great time here. The location was great. You are only about 15 minutes to large grocery store. The house had everything you need for cooking full meals. The steps to the water made it convinent to take a deep in the lake. You could see the fish crystal clear from the balcony and ducks came by everyday to say hello. The beds and pillows were comfy and we appreciated having extra blankets. I asked the owner a couple of questions and his response was very prompt and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend with another couple, and we really enjoyed our stay. The house was a great size for two couples. The view and the deck were the best! It was also really nice to hang out in the lake right from our house.

Very clean house, updated appliances and with plenty of room for our family of 4. The view is awesome! It has a great deck area to sit on, firepit, and dock. The water is shallow near shore and deeper towards the end of the dock and, along with a sandy bottom, makes for great swimming. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice Lake House
Nice property. We really liked the kitchen remodel and the ice machine came in very handy. We enjoy sitting outside so our only complaint (if you want to call it that) is that the outside spaces could use some TLC and more comfortable/inviting furniture.
4.8
We enjoyed our four nights at this cabin. The a/c worked great thank goodness because they were in a heat wave.
Loved the art work in the cabin. Really cutely decorated. Plenty of towels. Well equipped kitchen.
The adjacent beach was a bit too busy for our liking, someone was on it every day so no enjoying a good book out on the porch. But it was just families with children playing. I enjoyed hearing the children laughing and playing
We brought our boat and tied up at the new dock at the cabin. Easy to get to on the water
Overall a good stay, we’d stay again- hopefully when it cools off a bit
