About this cabin rental
Creekside Cabin is a beautifully converted wood shop & lumber barn that is cozy, spacious & private. Nestled at the edge of the woods on our five acres, it's just minutes to everything Chattanooga has to offer! Upstairs is a spacious queen bedroom and full bath. The Italian-made modular staircase is similar to a "ships ladder" with alternating treads (see photos), and may not be appropriate for those that are physically challenged. Downstairs is a living area with comfy furniture, Smart TV with provided Netflix, and a well equipped kitchen and dining area. Relax on the covered wrap-around deck and enjoy the sounds of the creek, birds, squirrels and deer.
In addition to the cabin itself, guests at Creekside also have full access to some shared spaces. Just outside the cottage is a beautiful timber-frame pavilion. It's an incredible space with a full chef's kitchen, 36" gas range, 10' dining bar, 12' hand-built farm table, wood-fired oven, huge professional charcoal grill/smoker, plenty of seating, fans, chandeliers, and lots of character!
Alongside the cabin and pavilion, guests will enjoy sounds of the creek cascading down the hillside as it wraps around the spacious fire pit area landscaped with huge mountain boulders.

We had a great time! The cottage was perfect and while close to the owner's home, there was plenty of privacy. We had a nice visit with the owners around the campfire. We will definitely stay there again when in the Chattanooga area!

The cottage was a great home away from home. Having coffee in the morning out on the deck was so relaxing. The bed was comfy. The stairs took a bit to get used to. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you Michael and Paula.

Michael and Paula of the Pines Cottage are excellent hosts! From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and at home in the property. The cottage is beautiful and has everything we needed and the outside amenities are next level. This is a great place to enjoy peace and quiet while also being within short distance of downtown Chattanooga. I highly recommend this stay.

Weather was perfect, owners of the property were friendly and very nice to visit with.
The cottage was fantastic, wonderful workmanship and extremely clean.
Quiet and private or sociable if you wanted, the owners were extremely inviting to visit with and made you feel like family.

My partner booked our stay and I never had a chance to look at the listing...until I showed up at Michael and Paul's place. Wow what an amazing pleasant surprise. From the super cool spread to their warm and generous hospitality. I can't say enough about our stay. We had a wonderful time hanging out with them both. Great conversation, delicious dinner and many laughs. It was by far, my favorite house rental experience. We will absolutory come and stay again. Cheers!

Wonderful stay, great hosts. Suggest the narrative mention the narrow steep stairway to the bedroom/bathroom. While the stairs would amuse and intrigue most, some might for ability or temperamental reasons want to avoid this property.

The Pines is created with quality and uniqueness in mind. We enjoyed our stay very much. The grounds were beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed sitting by the creek and and on the deck relaxing. The owners offered wonderful hospitality and accommodations. We will stay there again.

Everything was perfect at our stay in this little cabin. The owners take great care in making sure it is sparkling clean, equipped with everything you need, and just as cute and cozy as can be. The bedroom was pitch dark and quiet at night. We slept so wonderfully thanks to the blackout blinds!
The property has a pavilion, a fire pit, a beautiful garden, and some space to walk around if you wanted to. The owners, Michael and Paula, were very sweet and interesting people who are around and available to help if you need anything (or in our case - if you break something!).
Downtown Chattanooga was easy to get to and pretty much everywhere we wanted to go was about a 20 minute drive. We loved being tucked away in this quiet nook in the woods. The very private porch off of the kitchen was a perfect way to enjoy our mornings - watching the birds and waking up. We loved it and would definitely stay again!
I'm not sure if other reviewers already mentioned this, but if you have any trouble at all with stairs, this may not be the place for you since the steps to get to the bedroom were a bit tricky. Just a heads up but not a reason not to stay for anyone with no mobility issues.

My husband and I decided to VRBO in Chattanooga and the experience was great. We really had a wonderful 3rd Anniversary/Vacation.
The cottage was as described in the listing, the kitchen was very well equipped, much was provided for activities (corn hole boards, fire pit. Etc) and the hospitality was spot on and we felt very welcomed.
Very centrally located to all the activities within the area and the longest drive time was appx. 15 min.
Great experience! ❤️

Better than all the rest! We loved our time at The Pines. It was peaceful, beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming. We felt honored to be let onto their property and allowed to spend time in a place they've put so much love into creating. We'll be back for sure. You should come stay!

We had a great time staying at The Pines. Everything was as described and pictured. The best parts were the outdoor areas and the hosts, Michael and Paula. We enjoyed sipping coffee each morning on the private deck, and visiting with the hosts in the outdoor shared spaces in the evening. We were lucky enough to get a lesson in pizza making in the wood fire oven! It was so much fun. We also took advantage of the full outdoor kitchen for making breakfast in the morning. The cottage was perfect for the two of us, but they are building a larger two bedroom, 1 1/2 bathroom cottage, which would be great for two couples. If you stay here, try to spend some time with Michael and Paula. They are a great couple and lots of fun!

This is a gem of a place. It is cozy and fully stocked. It is located far enough away from the city to get the country feel, yet close enough to the city to be able to enjoy the attractions. The amenities available make it worth the cost. The owners are super sweet and thought of all the small items we often forget to bring with us.
Looking forward to our next stay.

We stayed here on Christmas weekend and absolutely enjoyed our stay! Exactly as pictured. The stairs aren't too bad once you get the feel for them. The owners were easy to communicate with. Even with the water pipes freezing the kitchen pipes we still loved our stay. When our bathroom pipes froze, Michael was prompt to resolve the issue. Would defiantly book here again!

The cottage was just what we needed to get away from it all. Celebrated our 39th anniversary there. Close enough to downtown to visit all the attractions. Michael and Paula are great hosts.

Short stay
The property is very comfortable, and nicely decorated. It was too hot outside to take advantage of the outdoor space, though
The stairs to the bedroom were fine for us, but could be an problem for someone with mobility issues.
Never did meet the owners, as our trip was cut short. Hopefully, another time!

If you stop to look at this property, just go ahead and book it. We had the best time at this adorable and peaceful cabin. Short drive to town but still out in the country. Definitely made our stay in Chattanooga much more comfortable than a basic hotel. Well worth every penny spent!

Exploring Chattanooga
It was very clean, the AC worked great (it was 95 degrees + everyday we were there), the outdoor area is fantastic, the location is very central to the Chattanooga area, it was also very safe / now worries whatsoever, definitely go to the pizza joint they recommend it was fantastic. Michael was a great host.

One of a Kind
The cottage and property was amazing! The renters have such a unique and beautiful place, that they are happily willing to share. The cottage is beautiful, clean and relaxing. The fire pit is incredible and something we utilized each night. We are hoping we can come back again soon! Thankful for the memories!

Very nice place, just some suggestions
This was a very beautiful little place tucked away in a quiet location. The outdoor amenities are just stunning. We didn't use the outdoor kitchen or fire pit but they were beautiful to look at all lit up at night. The staircase is very scary and extremely difficult to navigate carrying a suitcase up. I was also found it a bit strange the door only had a coded lock and no indoor lock to secure from the outside. We bought a lock to use on our own. The code to our door was written on a piece of paper we only noticed days after we had been there, anyone could have found that and walked right in. And lastly, the bed advertised is a queen but it seemed too small to be a queen. I think it may be a full and so I was a bit upset by that as 2 adults do not fit well on a full sized bed. Otherwise, we were happy with our stay. The hosts weren't even noticeable and we felt completely secluded. I hope these minor issues will be taken as considerations for the future cabins being built. We'll be back for sure. Thank you for your hospitality

Impeccable Southern hospitality & fun property!
My wife and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary with a stay at The Pines Cottage. The cottage is an excellent place to lodge during any stay in Chattanooga. The location is off the main roads, but the city is still easily accessible. Perfect lazy weekend get away with all the amenities you'd need. I cannot overstate how clean this place was. The owners take pride in this place and it really makes your stay more enjoyable.

Pine's Cottage
Our stay here was amazing. The cabin was super clean and exactly as described in the listing and depicted in the photos. Great location in a quiet neighborhood minutes away from all of the major attractions and downtown Chattanooga. Michael and Paula were very friendly and cordial. We did not have any issues, but I have no doubt they would have addressed immediately if we did. Loved taking advantage of the outdoor kitchen and dining area. They have a professional quality Yoder smoker and as someone who smokes food frequently I really enjoyed cooking on it. We highly recommend this cabin for a couple looking for a getaway with a home away from home feel. Can't wait until we get to come up and visit again.

Had a really relaxing time
Overall 10 out of 10!!! Michael the property owner was a really welcoming person and very easy to talk to. Everything was clean and it was very quiet. The outside kitchen and fire pit were really cool and there was a full stock of firewood Michael let us use for no extra cost. We had a wonderful time and if we ever rent in Chatanooga again this will be our first choice!!!
