Home is clean and well-furnished, with plenty of beds. Great to have two boats for accessing the nearby lake.

This was a perfect option for our family trip! We stayed 4 nights at the rental and were not disappointed. We wanted a location that could sleep 7 adults and a place that had a large table/open environment as my family planned day trips to Portland and evenings to be at the rental playing games and hanging out. Worked out perfectly and would recommend to all!
The only downsides to list - as mentioned in other reviews the dish washer rack is broken and needs to be fixed, and the beds overall were not comfortable - would recommend/hope in time that the property owner might replace the beds because that was my one real issue with the place (or invest in some cushioned mattress covers?)

This is a great location for families. A beach on the lake, with picnic tables, pool noodles and sand toys is a short walk from the house, with great kayak and paddle board opportunities. The kid friendly community center has an outside pool and indoor heated pool, ping pong, air hockey etc. There are multiple playgrounds with tennis courts that also can be used for pickle ball. Nothing was high end, but it was serviceable and we enjoyed using them. The other community center is adult friendly, with free weights, weight machines, aerobic exercise equipment and a pool.
The house is basic but clean and comfortable. The only detractions were the broken bottom rack of the dishwasher(mentioned in another review) and a faint stale smoke odor.

Modest home, nice location
We made an initial mistake by bringing along our dogs, but as soon as we arrived and read the rules on the table we realized pets were not allowed so we immediately made arrangements with a nearby boarder we found on Rover.com. The host was super abrasive toward us about this, even as I was apologizing profusely and showing her receipts for the boarding bill.
Afterward, she was slow to respond to our questions throughout our stay, but she did eventually answer us within several hours.
The home is across from a beautiful lake, and the beach is a short walk (maybe 3-4 minutes) from the house. As advertised, there was a canoe and kayak available for use and we all had a great time fishing on the lake in the evenings.
It was a bit hard to figure out the clubhouse locations - there were no directions or official names for the clubhouses, and the host was slow to respond, but after some googling and phone calls, we were able to find one a map. For reference, Clubhouse 2 is the better one - it includes an indoor pool, outdoor pool, air hockey and pool table, outdoor volleyball/tennis/basketball/horseshoes and some swings for the little ones. That clubhouse is a 10 minute drive, and is located at 206 Old Portland Rd, for anyone who may also be struggling to find it.
The home itself: modest, open, and clean enough. There was this weird thing where at night all these thousands of gnats(?) would get in the house somehow (all the windows were shut), and in the morning I'd wake up and the front and back doors and all the window sills were COVERED with tiny bugs. I found a vacuum in a closet and just made a habit of vacuuming them up every morning before we ate breakfast.
The beds were awful. Springy, loose, and angled oddly. We all slept rather poorly and woke up sore.
The only other real drawback to the house was the distinct lack of towels. Towels aren't something I think to bring when traveling, so unfortunately we didn't bring additional ones, and the house itself had very few to use between showers for everyone and going to the beach/pool throughout the day. I had to wash towels every day and even then we were still short.
The neighborhood was nice, peaceful, but the neighbor did have a dog that was tied outside often and seemed aggressive, just a heads up if you have little kiddos.
Overall, it was a great week - enjoyed the peace, the lake, the pool and time with family.

Mostly met our needs
This house was fairly comfortable and clean. Beds were good and so were showers. It was nice to have AC but the upstairs was quite warm when it was hot. Maine is very humid and it felt like there was a constant dampness to all of our towels and clothes both from the weather and the house. There was a good washer and dryer but the dishwasher bottom rack was broken and didn't really push in and out. Freezer was also hard to use because of extra frost. We didn't eat at the house much but there was only eight place settings so we ran out quickly with our family of five and had to run the dishwasher often. The lake was close and the kids had fun swimming there. The clubhouse with indoor or outdoor pools was further and we drove (about 5 minutes). The kids liked the indoor pool best (which had to be reserved during Covid).

Great Family Getaway
The house is clean, updated, and as-advertised. A lovely little sandy beach with swim area is less than 5min walk away and there are some beach toys and beach chairs at the house to use. The canoe and kayak are on dollies for bringing down to the beach, which was great. We enjoyed the outdoor pool at clubhouse #2 as well as several nearby playgrounds. We enjoyed hiking Sawyer mountain which is about 15 minutes away. We also enjoyed grilling, evening campfires, and relaxing on the deck. There weren't beach towels (that we could find), so just make sure to BYO on that front. other linens were provided and sufficient for our largish group. Having a good-quality washer/dryer was SO helpful, as was the air conditioning. Note that the upstairs "bunk room" is not air-conditioned (it does have a fan), so it was pretty warm up there some nights. No big deal, just something to be aware of. Thanks for a great stay!

Convenient yet secluded
I loved the location of this property. It was nice to come back to a quiet place after daily activities/site seeing. It didn’t take long to get to/from Portland, Old Orchard Beach and any other places we wanted to see. I highly recommend this rental.

Comfortable, Quiet, Waterboro Getaway.
Clean, open floor plan. Beds comfortable, nice deck with comfy furniture. Easy walk to lake for a swim or just to relax. Great location for easy drive to activities in New Hampshire and Maine. Owner is very quick to respond and ready to assist. Enjoyed being able to get away.

Cozy cabin by the lake
My family of 4 (2 teens) had a lovely vacation at Kelsey’s cabin in the woods. Everything was as described and she was very responsive to questions. We took the kayak and canoe provided (life jackets in basement) out on the lake which was a bonus. Used the indoor and outdoor pools at the lake arrowhead community clubhouse which are deep, cool, clean and lovely. Our teens worked out at the cardio and weight rooms and were pleased with the equipment. Traveled to Acadia for a day (3 hr drive) but worth it. Portland is 50 minutes and had a great whale watching trip from there. Hiked the cliff walk which we highly recommend. Rained one day and went to Sanford to the bowl-a-rama (nice people) for candle pin bowling which was new to us and fun! Grilled twice at the house on the gas grill provided and cooked in the kitchen which is nicely stocked. Peaceful to sit on the deck in morning for coffee and take in clean Maine air hearing no traffic. Had a great time!

Lake Arrowhead vacation home
My husband, adult daughter, son in law, adult son, and 2 grandsons (aged 4 & 1.5 yr) all spent a very happy week in this attractive house close to Lake Arrowhead in rural Maine. The house was as pictured & described: 2 decks, 3 bedrooms, an open concept kitchen/eating and living room, 2 bathrooms and a basement containing a washer and dryer. The house was clean, nicely decorated, and well furnished; it accommodated all of us easily, in both indoor and outdoor activities. It is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest sandy beach, where you can swim or paddle with the canoe and kayak provided by the VRBO hosts. This rental also allows visitors to use the Lake Arrowhead community facilities, including indoor and outdoor pools. Hannaford grocery store is less than 15 min drive, and the nearby towns of Biddeford and Old Orchard Beach offer many restaurants. This is a fun holiday destination which we definitely recommend!
