Very impressed with everything, wonderful room, location, food, staff - so friendly. Loved the bartender our night of arrival who did his best to accommodate my request for a hot toddy as I was very unwell with a cold. Housekeeping, security, wait staff, all were so friendly!
Manhatten was very accessible and we loved stepping off the F train at the end of the day to the peace of Roosevelt Island.
On our last day we were confused about the 15€ credit and the manager on duty had absolutely no interest in making it clearer for us, acting like a child, repeating her nonsensical response like we were idiots. When I mentioned that she was behaving inappropriately she was combatative, saying "well your mum gets it" - she did not. Me and my mother have both worked in the service industry for many years and understand what a staff member looks like when they're having a bad day and we are understanding, but this was not that - it was 100% bad attitude and our only experience of this the entire trip. I felt bad for the rest of the wonderful staff team there that this manager was letting them all down. I certainly hope she doesn't treat them the way we were treated.
We did struggle with getting to the hotel, directions on the website via public transport, or sent via email would've been helpful.

Great location, quiet area but quick transfer into central Manhattan. 2 minutes walk to tram, 5 minutes walk to subway then 3 stops to Rockefeller centre. Room had amazing views of Manhattan skyline

Estuvimos 4 personas en NYC una semana, el alojamiento estaba estupendo, vistas a la ciudad y a 15 minutos en metro o teleferico. Podías tomar café por las mañanas. Las habitaciones justas, pero en linea de hoteles de NYC.

Eigentlich sehr gut. Die Lage war perfekt. Die besten UBahn Verbindungen. Die Tramway würde ich nicht nehmen. Viele Leute. Die Lage war vorallem auch speziell, da man vom hektischen New York entfliehen kann.
Das Frühstück war enttäuschend. Trotz Buchung inkl. Frühstück, konnte man lediglich unter zwei Arten auswählen. Erstens, Quinoa Müesli, zweitens, Gebäck. Wenn man mehr oder was anderes möchte, zahlt man drauf. Schade.

It was a comfortable room and location was good.
On the day we arrived the room floor had hairs and dust and I found false eyelashes in the shower cubicle. The restaurant menu wasn’t very good and quite expensive for what it was. The lady who checked us in was really pleasant and helpful as well as the bar staff however the others on the reception desk when checking out weren’t as helpful. There was also a large queue on the Wednesday to use the lifts up to the room, this was because the panorama room was open and only 1 of 3 lifts were operational. When we stood waiting in a queue to use the lift a lot of people came out of the lift complaining about the bar up there - we didn’t actually visit it so I can’t comment but the staff didn’t seem to care that about 20 people were leaving after just going up.

Sehr teuer, unfreundlicher Empfang (wurden ignoriert - die SMS war wichtiger). An der Sauberkeit kann noch gearbeitet werden. Der FitnessRAUM wurde mehrere Tage nicht gereinigt.
Im Zimmer in der Nähe des Aufzuges war es immer laut …der Aufzug knackt beim Hoch- und Runterfahren (und es sind 4 Aufzüge).

Youth under 21 are not allowed on the viewing terrace. I don't understand this. We didn't intend to use the bar, but to see the city from the terrace with our daughter and go back to the room. It didn't work out.

Almenthia (front Desk agent)heeft ons zeer goed geinformeerd en geholpen. personeel was vriendelijk buiten 1 dame
hebben 1 dag kamer niet gekuist, dus hebben we zelf vuilbakken geledigd en naar beneden gebracht
dat was die onvriendelijke dame die zei dat we de afval terug mee naar boven moesten nemen en voor de deur zetten
ze had het eventueel zelf wel kunnen aanpakken
deze dame past niet in dit hotel. voor de rest was iedereen top

Das Restaurant gehörte nicht zu Hotel sondern war eigenständig.

Sehr gut gelegenes Hotel auf Roosevelt Island; von dort ist man in wenigen Minuten an der Metro oder der Seilbahn und hat eine tolle Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel. Sehr ruhige Lage für NYC. Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind sehr ansprechend und man hat einen netten Ausblick auf einen Skyline-Teil.
Das Personal war unglaublich schlecht, unfreundlich, nicht serviceorientiert und ignorant. Unsere Suite sollte ab 16 Uhr bezugsfertig sein und war es um 16.30 Uhr immer noch nicht. Die Dame am Empfang zuckte mit den Schultern und sagte, dann müssten wir halt warten. Sie kann da nichts machen. Und Entgegenkommen im Rahmen von Erstattung oder ähnliches würde es grundsätzlich nicht geben. Wir hätten einfach Pech, da sie in der Nacht zuvor voll ausgebucht waren. Wir diskutierten länger und bestanden darauf ein Upgrade auf ein anderen Zimmer zu bekommen, da wir keine wertvolle Urlaubszeit mit Warten im Hotel verschwenden wollten. Da wir bereits eine Suite bezahlt hatten, gab es auch kein Upgrade. Als wir verlangten, mit dem Manager zu sprechen, verschwand die Dame, kam nach einiger Zeit wieder und teilte uns mit, dass unser Zimmer nun plötzlich fertig sei.... Als Entschädigung gab es Frühstückvouchers. Diese mussten wir auch erst am nächsten Tag nochmals erfragen, da sie einfach nicht ausgestellt wurden. Beim Versuch des Einlösens teilte man uns dann mit, dass Tee nicht inkludiert ist und wir USD 5 pro Person pro Tag zahlen sollten. Daher lösten wir diese auch nie ein. Zusätzlich verschwand die Dame beim Checkin ca. 5 Minuten mit meinem Ausweisdokument ohne vorherige Erklärung. Auf Nachfrage sagte sie dann, sie konnte sich meinen Namen nicht merken beim Recherchieren, ob das Zimmer fertig ist. Die Bar im obersten Stock war trotz anders lautender Informationen im Hotel 2 Tage hintereinander einfach geschlossen. Als die Bar geöffnet war, konnte man nicht mit dem Aufzug von seinem Stock in die Bar fahren, sondern musste zur Rezeption. Eine Sicherheitskraft musste erst das Ausweisdokument kontrollieren, bevor man in die Bar fahren durfte. Wir verweigerten dann den Gang in die Bar. Und bei der Abreise gibt es keinen Mitarbeiter, der das Gepäck in den Gepäckraum bringt.Man muss das Gepäck mit seiner Zimmerkarte selber in den Gepäckraum bringen und hat Zugriff auf alle Koffer.

Great location, easy to get over to midtown via the tram. Fabulous views of the skyline and we enjoyed the bar and the decor.
Very poor storage. Tiny wardrobe and only 2 drawers. No tea/coffee in the room. Although it was available from 7-11am in the lobby, there were always queues and long waits for the coffee to be replaced. The reception staff were not welcoming or friendly.

We liked the location and the god connection to the city.
The view from the spacious room was amazing.
So all in all a good and quiet choice for a stay in NYC but don't book breakfast or dinner there. There is a good choice of restaurants and coffee shops near by.
Breakfast was included for 20 $ but very low standard. Continental was only thin coffee OR orange juice and old pastries OR iced fruits OR a small bowl of cereals. The staff at the restaurant was untrained and helpless. If we wanted breakfast at half past eight, we couldn't get a table because of the staff problems.

La vista , la ubicación !
No se si fue solo mi habitación pero el baño tenía hongos , pelos , y la puerta del mismo tronaba al abrir y cerrar , el refri no helaba , la secadora es de las más baratas que me arranco caballo cuando succiona aire , el vigilante tiene que acompañarte a la terraza como que no eras huésped e ibas a robar ! De hecho cuando subes a la habitación el iba detrás !!! Era tan incómodo . Se me olvidaba no había jabón ni shampoo en los botes menos mal que nosotros siempre llevamos nuestras cosas personales , pero digo si tienen eso tienen que llenarlos para cada huésped , no creo que sean de adornos .

We really liked the location - away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, but only a short metro/cable car/boat ride into the heart of the city.
We didn’t eat breakfast there, but enjoyed the free tea/coffee available in the mornings.
We were also provided with plenty of water to keep us hydrated during our stay. :)

The view is fantastic, rooms are clean, the have high quality body products in the bathroom. There's is a super small gym with 2-3 treadmills and one machine. The location on the Roosevelt Island is amazing, you can take a cable car to Manhattan, which is 3 minute walk from the hotel.

I missed a coffee maker or kettle in the room or at least in the common area (having it in the morning only is not sufficient). Also I found the restaurant rather overpriced and the deductible of US$15 was not reflected on my invoice.

Absolutely stunning location! Loved the quiet after a busy Manhattan just another side of the bridge. We took the skyline room and it was worth to enjoy the view every morning and evening spent there. The only thing we expected to be bigger room for tow as there was only one chair in the room and was not very much comfortable to share in the evening. Overall the staff was good and didn’t have any problems . Would recommend and would come again for sure!

Das Hotel punktet mit der spektakulären Aussicht auf Manhattan. Wir konnten vom Bett aus, die Skyline von Manhattan inklusive des Empire State Buildings betrachten. Hotelpersonal meistens sehr freundlich, das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich. Die Fenster konnte man zum Lüften ankippen. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig, U-Bahn und Roosevelt Island Tramway sind in ca. 10 Minuten zu erreichen.
Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt für uns nicht. Den tollen Blick lässt sich das Hotel teuer bezahlen. Die Zimmer sind relativ klein, sehr wenig Stauraum. Drei Erwachsene im Zimmer mit Koffern und Gepäck waren schon eine Herausforderung. Das mitgebuchte Frühstück war ein Witz, da passt Preis und Leistung gar nicht.
Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ist das Hotel sicher gut geeignet, um die Aussicht zu genießen, aber wir würden uns beim nächsten Mal für ein Hotel in Manhattan mit besseren Preis-Leistungsverhältnis entscheiden.

La décoration des chambres et de l'hôtel est originale et très soignée.
Les chambres sont très confortables. Propreté irréprochable.
Emplacement sympa car au bord de l'Hudson. Il faut prendre le téléphérique pour aller sur Manhattan ou la ligne 10 (de mémoire). C'est sympa mais ca peut devenir lourdingue car il y a du monde dans les oeufs. Bien pour un séjour d'une ou 2 nuits à mon sens.
Il faut toujours courir après le staff de l'accueil de l'hôtel, qui se cache dans un petit bureau derrière.
Globalement, l'accueil était correct, sans plus. Et bien moins chaleureux que dans les 3 autres hotels où nous avons séjourné, à New York ou à Washington.

De ligging, het uitzicht, de netheid en de inrichting. Schitterende locatie en het zicht op Manhattan is adembenemend. De rooftop is ronduit iconisch.
Rooftop is verboden onder 21. Dus als je tieners hebt, mogen ze gewoon niet binnen. Ontgoochelend.
Personneel lijken allemaal studenten met de daaraan verbonden beperkte klantgerichtheid. Ook in het restaurant is de motivatie beperkt. Oppassen: de tips zijn al inbegrepen (20%!!!) en dus oppassen dat je niet nogmaals tipt. Je mag dat ook weigeren en een eigen bedrag terug inbrengen. Personneel doet alsof hun neus bloedt.

Przemiła pomocna obsługa. Nie korzystaliśmy ze śniadań ale codziennie można było skorzystać z kawy lub herbaty. W pokoju lodówka, więc można było przechować żywność. Wygodne duże łóżka, codziennie sprzątano i wymieniano ręczniki.
Stacja wody na V piętrze, gdzie można było skorzystać z wody i lodu.
Nie ma się do czego przyczepić :)

Das Hotel liegt ruhig, man ist aber trotzdem schnell in Manhatten. Gleich nebenan befindet sich die Station der Roosevelt Island Bahn und wenig weiter die Subway Station. Man hat einen tollen Blick auf die Skyline. Wir waren als Familie dort und hatten zwei Zimmer mit Verbindungstür, was für uns perfekt war.
Beim (inklusiven) Frühstück hatte man die Auswahl zwischen Gebäck, Granola oder Joghurt mit Früchten. Zudem musste man sich zwischen Kaffee und Saft entscheiden (obwohl der Kaffee eigentlich gratis ist). Alle anderen Speisen hätte man kostenpflichtig bestellen können.
Geärgert haben wir uns über die Rooftop Bar. Wenn man dort hinauf gehen möchte (als Hotelgast) muss man zuerst mit dem Aufzug runter zur Rezeption fahren und sich in die Menschenschlange (externe Gäste) einreihen, und warten (in unserm Fall 20 Minuten) bis man mit dem Aufzug nach oben fahren darf. Nach Reklamation an der Rezeption meinte der Mitarbeiter, dass wir ja auf dem Zimmer bleiben könnten, wenn’s uns nicht passt.
In der Bar sind die Getränke unverhältnismäßig teuer (zwei Whiskey sour 50 $).

Nice venue. Unique decor. The top bar is amazing and offers great views, though it kepps being busy at all times and that's what crowds the hotel's elevators as well. I wish the bar on the first floor offered more in terms of coffee. like expresso, cappucino etc.
There was no coffee in the room and no decent expresso machine, even at the bar/restaurant. The only place to get a coffee was the Starbucks nearby. It was a bit confusing who the staff was due to their casual clothes.
