We stayed at Angelique's Lakefront Tiny Haven to attend my grandma's 87th in Lakeport. It started with a lovely note on the front door greeting our stay. Neighbors were exceptional friendly, and Angelique was full of great energy. This tiny haven is walking distance from a couple of great eating establishments and a fantastic Asian spice store. It sits across the road from the lake featuring a dock for beautiful views while sipping on coffee. I didn't have a need for the water sports this go around, but the equipment looked new and well maintained. We will definitely take advantage during our next visit.
Our unit had what we needed to make our stay comfortable, including wifi capable of allowing us to perform our daily work tasks. We will definitely be booking here the next time we're in town. The you Angelique for the accomodations and conversations.

It was a decent experience. The owner has multiple rentals, and we stayed in the cottage with 2 rooms, i.e. 1 with a queen bed and 1 with a bunk bed. The pictures can be a bit deceiving, the cottage is smaller than it looks. The owner is amazing, kept the A/C on before we arrived and helped us with any queries. She also recommended us a couple of fine wineries around clear lake. About the location, the neighborhood is decent and very close to the lake. We visited this place at the peak summer when the temperature touched 115F, had a few water activities planned but ended up not doing it because the water was dirty, and it was too hot.

Rented some toys and hit the lake. Smores in a fire pit on a warm June night. Good times.

Angelique is a sweetheart and was responsive, and the place was clean. We thought we would at least have a lake view. No view but a fence behind, into carport, & other cabins. None of the hard metal chairs inside or on porch were comfortable to sit on, and neither was couch for lounging. Bed uncomfortable. AC unit loud, and couldnt open bedroom window. Can hear noise from highway close by. Easy walk to lakeshore, but water was toxic from algae and mercury, so advised by a walker to not let dog drink it. Without a boat, and deciding not to rent, there wasnt much to do in the heat. Left a day early since we werent comfortable, and an rv was arriving to stay in the carport. It was lovely sitting by the lake, but all in all, not worth the $ and drive for us.

I chose this place for the convenience of launching our boat and fishing. I was so happy with my stay. Our hosts Angelique and Randy made us feel special. Randy showed us where the launch was, fixed any problems that came yp, and we were even upgraded to a bigger spot for better wi fi purposes. If you are coming to fish clear lake and looking to stay on the north side of the lake then please consider staying here. This was my 1st clear lake experience, and definitely not my last. Thank you, Angelique and Randy for the exquisite hospitality.

Enjoyed Our Trip
We were a little confused when we arrived to the property , we didn't receive any instructions for check in or codes for our rental . But after walking around for awhile a nice gentleman found us and helped us . It was very easy once we made some contact. The house is very cute little thing , it felt cozy and clean. The furniture was a little rough , they looked great so don't get me wrong , but I believe it is ikea furniture so sleeping on that bed was hard as a rock . I do believe this choice of furniture was made because of space but a mattress pad might go along way for adults :) We were there to fish and so location was great . They had a private ramp and two docks , so that was perfect . I also caught a 7 pound bass just in front of the house . The neighbor hood is a little bit scary , but we are sheltered from Utah and not use to high rate of homelessness around and drug use. I still felt safe at the house and we just made sure to not leave in valuables in the truck or outside . We would recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a fishing retreat , you can beat the spot and the house was modern inside and clean . Only thing i wish was supplied was a broom , coming in and out from the lake even with taking shoes off we tracked debris in, they had it so clean before we felt guilty :)

Nice is Nice
Nice update on this little cottage. Clean, comfortable bed. It provided a solid home base to visit the surrounding area. Might be just a little cozy for 4 adults but fine with two adults and a couple of kids.

Family Time on the Lake
Rental & location had its pros & cons. We got into town early & Angelique (the owner) said there was no problem with checking in & she already had the AC going (it was a HOT day). Upon arrival, we were confused as to where the cottage was, as it is not on the street, instead, tucked behind other rentals. Luckily Angelique flagged us down & directed us in. The cottage was cute on the outside with a custom welcome sign. The inside was recently modeled & clean. Another added touch was a bowl containing smores supplies. The kitchen is small & had a couple pots & pans, utensils, salt & pepper, plates & glasses. The microwave & fridge were older with some breaks (handle & shelf), but worked. If anything was missing (like a can opener), Angelique was just a text away & very responsive.
The cottage was small for our family of 4 & pup (perhaps because my "kids" are both about 6' tall). Sitting around trying to watch a show at night was a bit crowded. The beds were on the firm side, so not a great night sleep if you're use to a softer mattress.
The lake itself was beautiful when we were driving into town, but the shore was not ideal. I picked this place because we wanted to introduce our pup to a lake, & swim & float around with the family. The water level had dropped & algae & weeds were growing everywhere. There was NO WAY we were going to walk into the lake from our cottage due to what we'd have to walk through. Luckily Angelique has rentals in the water, so we rented the ski boat to go tubing & jet skis. We were VERY hesitant to be in the lake as the locals were telling us not to due to being in a drought & the algae. My husband literally called & talked to the water quality people to discuss the water testing. They of course couldn't guarantee anything. With Angelique's persuasion & some of the other renters on the property who have already been out, we followed through with our rental reservations, had some fun, & never got sick.
There isn't much to do in town. We did go to The Boathouse Bar & Grill for dinner once. Very expensive for what you get, especially when your meals are served in paper baskets & some of the food tasted like it came out of the microwave.
Stopped by the local dog park. Smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. No grass or shade, our dog & I both got a thorn in our foot within minutes.
After 3 nights, we left a day early. We would consider going back when the lake level rises & we'd get a bigger place. Angelique is great!

Cute place, but don’t see myself returning
Checkin was easy and owner made themselves accessible. Walking distance to a great bbq restaurant, newly renovated and cute cottage and rental options for water. Unfortunately the water was not habitable, there wasn’t really a shore to sit and relax on, sadly just not a lot to offer. Our jet ski experience was very choppy and then we rescheduled for the next day but didn’t know we’d be charged about $280 for about an hour of quality jet ski’ing.
I had high hopes for Clear Lake, but will likely spend more $ and time and enjoy the abundance of activity at Tahoe in the future.

Relaxing weekend lakeside!
Overall we had an excellent experience! The property was newly remodeled, the location was on the lake, the access to activities and lake toys was excellent and the owner was wonderful! Highly recommend this property for a lake vacation in style!
