I loved the view of the ocean it was epic!! The bed was so comfortable and the overall decor was great. The drive over the bridge to the beach was an adventure each time. The beach was the cleanest I have ever experienced. I did get a chance to interact with the office staff and both ladies were the epitome of kindness and professionalism. Thank you "B" for your thoughtfulness. Yes I will book through Vacasa again. Overall we had a great time thank you Vacasa.

Unfortunately, we will not be staying at this property again. We found broken door latches that would not lock wobbly rails on the deck, and a loose knobs that would not close in the bathroom. The water did have a very bad sulfur smell and the house is definitely in need of some TLC. For the price, it is fair but not a great deal.

I loved the view this place provided. It had a beautiful view of the ocean out of one of the bedrooms. There was a room upstairs that is an excellent morning coffee room if you open up the windows. This was a cozy stay & I would definitely come back again!

Beautiful sunrises. House was clean and bigger in persons than what pictures showed. So close to state park beach entrance and good restaurant. I forgot to pack pots and pans but this place had them so we still got to cook the fish we caught. So grateful to be able to enjoy this house during spring break with our children!

Arrived and house was ice cold and the pipe burst water down in parking area so no water for even flushing the first cold nite. Obviously no one checked the house_ took an hour to heat up- Good beds, nice deck, and terribly cheap, rusted grill. If you book this place, bring EVERYTHING you need including paper towels, coffee, shampoo, foil, salt pepper etc. there is a small grocery nearby and Lynn’s has fab oysters. Overall, okay. (If I were real picky, I’d say It would’ve been nice to have had someone check to see how we were doing after the botched check-in- but I’m not that picky-just passive aggressive. Nyuk.)

We had a great time. The home was stocked with toiletries, dish soap, towels & hand soap as expected and clean. We will recommend to friends.
Improvement suggestions: it’s time to update the living room furniture and fix the thermostat so more user friendly, there were no outside lights, improve lighting in living room & dining areas & strap garbage can-my husband cleaned up a mess bc the wind blew it over and it was full when we arrived Friday evening but overall it was nice stay.

Our overall stay was nice but I do agree with other comments about the water odor and the highway 98 traffic/noise. There is a lovely view of the bay and BEAUTIFUL ancient live oak trees in the yard. The deck chairs need replaced and the air flow in the master bedroom needs addressed. We loved the area and definitely will make a return trip and wouldn't rule out staying at Bliss again.

The property is nice , could be great !! The grass needed cut , needs lights on the steps , the water smelled like sulfur so taking a shower and washing hands was rough . When we first got there the code nor keys worked. We did call and finally after about 30 minutes they changed the code and gave us a new code . The mattresses need to be replaced .
On the good side the view was great , the location wonderful, The a/c kept it nice and cold cause it was very hot and humid outside!! Over all we had a great time !!

This house has potential, but the smell of the water is horrid. The water reeks of sulfur and I have smelled water that smelled like sulfur before but never to this extent. The smell was enough to make you gag. We contacted the property management team, and they gave us lip service and no action. We bought jugs of water to brush our teeth and bathe. The thought of washing your hands after you used the bathroom was terrible. The whole bathroom with the smell of the water would send you running out the door. As I look back through older reviews, I see that this has been a problem in the past. Unfortunately, I did not go that far back in the reviews before I made this booking and I will never make the same mistake again. I will also never utilize any property where Vacasa is the property manager.

Our stay at Bliss on the Bay was unsatisfactory to say the least. We have stayed at several VRBO and HomeAway locations in the past and this is our worst experience. We were booked for a 6 week stay, Jan 3 thru Feb 13, 2022. We arrived one day late due to weather in our home area. And we are leaving 11 days early due to our dissatisfaction with the home.
1. Deck furniture consisted of one bar stool and one small regular height side table. Pictures shown on website were of two bars stools and a picnic table. We called the management company and three resin Adirondack chairs were delivered two days later (Jan 6). On Jan 28, a very nice table and 6 chairs were delivered.
2. There was no gate on the deck as pictured on the website and we had specifically looked for this so that we could let our dog roam the deck in nice weather. We purchased a baby gate in Panama City for $25. This will be left in the house.
3. There were no hangers in the closets. I am not sure who would ever travel with hangers. Called the management company and hangers were delivered the next day.
4. There was no hair dryer, though the website listed one. I purchased one in Panama City for $10. This will be left in the house.
5. We found the floors to be making the bottoms of our feet black. Called the management company and they sent in a cleaning crew the next day.
6. The loft Futon is broken (needed to be propped up) and very uncomfortable.
7. We found live bugs in the kitchen. Purchased our own bug spray for $15 and sprayed both inside and out.
8. Our stay was booked for 6 weeks. The cleaning supplies provided were not at all suitable for a long-term stay. We were provided one roll of paper towels, one kitchen sponge, one very small (3 oz) bottle of dish liquid, three dishwasher tabs, three laundry tabs. I understand this is probably suitable for a weekend or even a week. But for a 6 week stay, I need a mop. I purchased a Swiffer wet mop and refills in Panama City for $15. These will be left in the house. The vacuum did not work properly at all. Upon inspection, we found the filter to be completely plugged. It appeared that it had never been cleaned. We removed, cleaned, and reinstalled. After this we vacuumed one bedroom carpet and almost filled the reservoir. It was obvious the vacuum had been plugged for some time and no one noticed. The toilet brushes provided are disgusting and need replaced.
9. Couches in living room and futons in loft had not been cleaned under. We found debris and dirt when we moved them.
10. Stain on living room couch cushion appears to be blood or wine.
11. Blinds are in terrible shape, missing panels, and difficult to maneuver. There are 10 blinds in the house, and only two were complete and worked properly. There is no blind on the full-length glass front door.
12. All faucets were corroded and spraying water everywhere. We purchased pliers and new screens to replace the ones in the bathrooms, and soaked the one in the kitchen in vinegar, and it improved. Cost $22.
13. No measuring cups, measuring spoons, wine opener. We purchased all and will leave in the house. Cost $8.
14. The toaster burns the toast even on the lowest setting. We solved by setting a timer for 90 seconds and unplugging at that point to make the bread pop up.
15. Games in loft are useless. Pieces missing and scattered.
16. Water is extremely hard and has a bad smell. The toilets turn black after a few days. Dishes come out of dishwasher with a film overall. We added rinse agent to the dishwasher but there was no improvement. There is a softener and filter in the parking area outside, but we were told that it has never been maintained. A Culligan representative arrived in late January and told us the equipment was not maintained and was causing more issues than it was helping. Thankfully, we had not been dri...

The futon and other sleeping space outside of both beds in each bedroom was upstairs in an area with no shades on windows. We didnt need the space but not what we were led to believe based on listing. The house had plenty of parking and outside space. Water smelled a little sulfur like but didn't taste it. Knives were super dull, can opener didn't work and a bunch of small items like that. No wifi password found anywhere and no booklet of instructions, or guest book (those are awesome and gave great food places and other lessons learned). So I say the place it close .. to being a much better rental. Beds were very comfortable and curtains hung to floor but no biggie. Street is loud like others said but definitely liveable!!

Great location for going to surrounding areas. House was clean and ready on time. Great view from porch. Would definitely book again. Loved the loft for my teenager.

The loft was awesome! Home wasn't immaculately spotless, but it WAS clean. I didn't mind, no house is ever perfectly clean. Home IS located on the coast, but NOT within walking distance from any beach. Still, only about a 19 minute drive to St. George's beaches. There were a few things that could definitely be fixed, like the wonky shower head, and there were some stains on the couch, but overall, it was a very nice stay!

The views are beautiful and the home is peaceful and well laid out. There are 2 bedrooms (1 king/1 queen). One thing to mention is the water view is not a regular beach so you would need to drive to walk in the sand. Location is great easy to get to St George Island and Apalachicola. Fun shops and dog friendly beaches.

The view was nice. Beautiful home. Had great AC, very cool!
However, it's on a very busy road and the road noise is loud. The water smells like a rotten eggs but luckily your clothes nor your body smells after using it. The blinds are missing slates in them and the Sofas were stained. The sofa is hard to get up from, so if you have a bad back or knee's beware. The porch had some rotten boards with a screw sticking out so beware if going barefoot.

Friends Fishing Trip
The location was perfect to be away from the crowds. Our crew walked across Hwy 98 to surf fish. They caught enough for us to enjoy a meal before we left. We were close to the businesses of Eastpoint, St. George Island, and Apalachicola to enjoy visits to each. We had a total of eight people and had plenty of room.

Great location.. house was clean except for a ton of pet hair on the couch.

We loved this place.... quick drive to SGI and the state park. Saved hundreds of dollars by being on the main land and we didn't feel like we sacrificed. Easy access to the Island and Apalachicola.
The only qualm I had with the house was that cookware was lacking. It would have been nice to have a useable skillet.... but we weren't there to cook and we made due. Would stay here again if we had the option!

Beautiful View
Our friends were staying on St. George Island so we really only slept in this home and spent all day with our friends (didn't even eat there). It was very convenient 15 minute drive to their home on the island. It was nice to wake up to the view of the sunrising over the bay. The road noise is loud, but we expected it from previous reviews and did not bother us. The water smells like rotten eggs, but also to be expected. We did not get in from our friends house until 10pm the first night. It is very dark out there and we missed the driveway and accidentally pulled into the neighbors drive and backed up and found our house. As we were leaving 2 days later the neighbor came up and told us that was unacceptable and was not happy with us. We apologized and said it was a simple mistake of missing our driveway. Just be careful not to miss the drive or you will get a talking to. Overall it was very lovely to have our own place to sleep and enjoy the gulf for a couple days after camping. Thank you.

Dis not stay because our orignal house we rented was two weeks behind remodel schedule.
The backup "duplex" was actually a little apartment complex with way less room. and no parking. Was less money than we paid. I will never ever go through your third party again. It was a nightmare. So we spent 10 hours driving because we went back home.

Dirty
Pet stains on all the rugs. Dirty windows, ripped screens and infestation oh German Roaches. Bug man had to come but said they wouldn’t be gone for 3 weeks. We still had a few after he left. The management did give us a discount but as far as I’m concerned it wasn’t enough
