About this house rental
This house from the 60's has been completely renovated preserving the original stone facade and the main entrance door. To access it we have to walk through the cobbled and narrow streets of the village.
The house on one level has three double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one en suite. The kitchen and living room occupy a unique space of 33 m², very bright and perfectly equipped. At the top there is a magnificent terrace of 50 m² with stunning views of the landscape. The terrace equipped with sun loungers, barbecue and an arbor with table and chairs for all the guests is a fantastic showcase to the wild beauty of the area; A unique place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet provided by the setting, the imposing Sierra de Tramontana.
The house has furniture, decoration and modern and functional equipment, resulting in a comfortable and cozy holiday home, and is fully air-conditioned.
Fornalutx is located to the northwest of Mallorca and is considered as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. Undoubtedly, the main attraction is the village itself by its beauty and natural charm.
In addition to being a town full of colors and smells on your walk you will also find a lot of fountains and canals through which fresh water runs, as well as an old laundry room. Do not stop looking up as there is a popular art of painting drawings and symbols on the tiles that come out of the cornices of the facades that apart from the function properly decorative at times had a symbolic function, since its purpose was Preserve and defend the house and its inhabitants from misfortunes.
One of the most outstanding buildings is the current town hall, which has a defense tower of the seventeenth century. The church built in 1693 in Gothic style, is another place to visit.
Its enviable location in the Serra de Tramuntana, makes it an ideal place for hikers and cyclists. It is located within reach of the famous route GR221, that extends along this mountain range. We recommend doing this route with a guide. The main square is Plaça d'Espanya, which is surrounded by cafes and shops. Just next to the main square you will find the Fornalutx Bakery, which offers all kinds of local bread and pastries of the day. For larger purchases, we recommend Soller, it is next door and has The Municipal Market which was inaugurated in 1952, is a functional building with polygonal floor plan and with several access openings and a porticoed gallery. There you will find products of the highest quality and typical of the islands. It is open from Monday to Friday from 08:00 - 14:00 and 18:00 - 20:00. Saturdays open from 08:00 - 14:00 offering a wide variety of design articles and local art.
In Soller you will also find the train that goes to Palma.
The nearest beach to Fornalutx is the Port de Soller and is 7 km away. For those who want to enjoy the trip to the beach, there is a tram that connects Soller with its port.
There are several restaurants and cafes in Fornalutx. The "Restaurant Café Med" offers a wide variety of local dishes and wines, to dine in a pleasant atmosphere and relax with the great views. If you prefer a more traditional menu, "Calzone Pizzeria" offers tapas and excellent pizzas.
