Ski-in and out to Big Sky Resort. Best for skiers | Possible for children and Snowboarders, but ski-in can be more difficult for these groups | Ski-out - Travel down the road to the Thunderwolf Lift | Ski in- Intermediate and Expert take Silverknife to Bear Back Poma. From here ski the road back to the house | We recommend beginners ski to the Summit Hotel and walk out the front of the hotel and ski the road the whole way back down to Low Dog Road. Plus, the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park is only about 45 minutes away while following the historic HWY 191 along the scenic Gallatin River. Spacious and hip location for 6 guys that've been skiing together for over a decade. Be sure to read the SKI ON / OFF details as without a snow covered road this is a challenge but doable for the advanced; from our perspective this is reflected in the price to comparable properties near this location. Cool artwork throughout. The clean, well equipped kitchen and first floor level offered plenty of room to chill and catch-up after days on the mountain. There are numerous little dens and areas where one can sneak away to check back at home or office. Bedroom rooms were ample, furniture is showing wear. Communication with the host was excellent and they were able to address a few maintanence items. Hot tub size is really for 1-3 grown men (max). Be sure to bring your own bluetooth speaker. The grill on the deck was functional, could use a refresh. Overall a perfect location for a group of guys to hang out and have a great time.

Large space. Plenty of room. Hot tub and sauna are small. Ski in ski out if snow on road

We had the BEST time in this incredible home! The house was so unique. Clean. Very European feel. The sauna and hot tub were so great after full days of skiing. The furniture and beds were comfortable and cozy. Such a hygge house!! We also had the treat of a fox walking on the porch. That round window made the entire experience feel most magical, like we were living in the trees. Loved it!!

We had a great time, and the property staff was wonderful! Don’t expect an updated property, but it was comfortable and very clean! It had everything you need and more. The kids were not able to ski in/out but the drive to the village took 3 minutes and it wasn’t a big deal. Thank you for a great week!

The condo is spacious and convenient for skiing provided you have snow and don't mind climbing stairs. We cooked our breakfasts and dinners and the kitchen and outdoor grill served us well.
We had a great time because it snowed twice, putting snow on the road so that we could ski down to the Thunder Wolf lift in the morning and home from the Bear Back Poma at day's end. If the road is not snow-covered, the walk to either lift is pretty long, mostly uphill to the Poma.
Because it is built on a steep hill, the condo is 3 stories plus a loft. Living room, kitchen and dining are half a flight up from the entrance. The primary suite, queen bedroom, and bathroom are half a flight down from the entry way, and it's another flight down to the two twin bedrooms (small) that share a Jack-and Jill bathroom, the sauna, and washer-dryer. Not horrible, but we are all 70+ years old.
The hot tub (indoor) was good; the washer-dryer worked fine; we never used the sauna. All in all, we were quite happy but want to give a full picture of the place.

I would like to give this 4.5 stars. My friends and I had an amazing trip to Big Sky. Skiing out to the Lone Wolf lift, and in using Silver Knife worked like a dream. Hot Tub took a messing around, but once it was running it was perfect. Plenty of space for our group of 8, and everyone slept well and had room to relax after the slopes.
The only reason I can’t give the full 5 star rating is because of a couple small things which could easily be corrected. First, instructions on how to get the hot tub turned on would be a sinch. Providing a better means to clear snow too would go a long way. When we arrived , a car was blocking the entire driveway, who had apparently been told by Stay Montana that he could park there. When he did leave, we found that the shovel provided was broken, and that the other we were able to find was too flimsy to be of much use. Lastly, some basic amenities go a long way in stays like this, where people can potentially be snowed in and not be able to drive. Things like: extra trash bags, sponges, dish soap, or even a swiffer so that we could help keep this place tidier. We were thankfully able to get these on our own, but it meant carrying them on the ski lift and skiing down with them in hand.
Other than that, this really was a phenomenal experience, and I would gladly come back to Big Sky and this same place again.

Four floors: bedrooms on levels one and two, kitchen and gathering space on level three and loft to watch TV on level four. Bathrooms on levels one and two near the bedrooms. Indoor hot tub available for sore muscles after skiing. Great deck to soak up the sun.

Retro and groovy
A very groovy spot. Great location, beautiful scenic view. Beds could use an update for comfortability. And maybe one or two more small shampoos. Definitely a retro vibe. Montana you are gorgeous.

Excellent House and Convenient Location
There were 6 guys staying for my 60th birthday and the house was perfect for us. The layout was easy, the beds and couches were comfortable and the hot tub was right next to the livingroom. The ski-on, ski-off worked well too.

Ski in ski out... Big Skiing in Big Sky
Place was perfect for our annual guys ski trip. Ski in ski out was very convenient and easy drive to Mountain Village for dinner. House was clean, comfortable, spacious and as advertised for 5 adults. Would stay here again many years from now when we come back.

Close enough to ski in for lunch
Eight long-time ski pals gathered for a long weekend. We loved the house...it had everything we needed & the location was terrific. I would highly recommend it.

Great house
Really funky property that is great for a bunch of people!

Great Value
Overall my group was pleased with the property. It was a great value considering the proximity to the resort. I would book this property again.
4.5
Excellent location and house.
We were very satisfied with this house. Clean, open, nice beds, just like we liked it. Our only concern was that there is insufficient table level lighting. There needs to be more lamps throughout.
4.5
Great for Two Families
We had a good experience renting this property over New Years. Our favorite thing was that the kids (ages seven and up) could wake up early and chat/play on the upper level while the adults slept in a little bit. Also, the snowy views were very pretty. We ended up doing the short drive to Big Sky resort for skiing but saw many people skiing down the road. Also, it was nice to have a washer and especially dryer in house.
Upon arrival, we were notified one of the sinks was broken. Assuming this has been fixed by now and it was just scheduled after our visit during a holiday week.
4.5
Great family ski-in/out stay!
Location couldn’t be beat. We had plenty of space for our family group. Only issues were that the house could use more lighting, and a little updating—although it was kind of quirky/retro so some of that may have been intentional. The management company we worked with, Beehive, was top notch—proactive, professional and responsive.
4.5
The kids really liked the house. It was just what we needed.
Very easy to rent and very helpful when I had questions.

Summer trip to Yellowstone
Nice accommodations. Did a summer trip to Yellowstone. If you don't like steps. this is not the place. Lots of stairs as the layout of the place is a little weird. Top floor is loft and this was wasted space for us as there was just a TV there. First and second level had bedrooms and third level had the kitchen, but no bathroom on this level. They need to put in some additional light on the stairs as everyone of the 5 of us staying here tripped on the last step due to poor visibility. Overall, nice house, but could use some updates and carpet needs replacing.
4.5
Great house!
Fun unique ski house! Our family of 4 had more than enough room to relax after skiing. Could easily accommodate another family. We liked the multilevel design. Really liked having crisp white linens! So many rentals have the owner’s 1980’s cast-offs. This was a nice touch! Why not 5 stars? Because this is NOT “ski in ski out” in the way a visitor would define that. This is not a convenient place to pop in for lunch. “Ski in ski out” should not be in the advertisement as it is misleading.
