Although didn't eat breakfast, we loved that you chose nice foods like carmens muesli and pod coffee, felt extra luxurious than normal places. The loaf of bread we loved having in the evening, nice touch. Staff were extra helpful and friendly, location was central and room was a great size and nicely awt back from road. Thanks so much

The room was great, the host was so helpful and accomodating and the breakfast was a really substantial continental breakfast. Couldn't fault it at all.

Louise and the family were wonderful. We had fresh baked bread in our room on arrival. The location is excellent and the bed comfy. We had a great mini break and will definitely be back again. Thankyou.

We really enjoyed our stay and felt very welcome and at home immediately. The host even baked a delicious homemade bread which we just loved. The cottage has a nice little terrace in n the backyard. The room, the kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed for our stay. Unfortunately we only stayed one night, but we will come back if we are in the area again.
4.7
The homemade sour dough bread and spreads were a real treat and delicious. It was nice sitting outside to enjoy a cuppa or breakfast in the morning.
Nothing needs improving!
4.7
The authentic hospitality and kindness from Shane and Louise. The home baked bread a beautiful gesture. The rooms were exceptionally clean, very comfortable and kitchen facilities good. Location great!
Nothing- everything was great.

The loaf of home made bread was excellent , Fleurieu Milk, The best Orange Juice. Comfortable Bed . Very enjoyable stay to a very convienent place.
For Summer time a screen door would be good on the back door.
4.7
Lovely fresh bread for breakfast, with a good bottle of local bubby on arrival while staying in a nicely renovated building. The spa in the bedroom was a nice touch, and the property was good value for money.
Located a short walk away from cafes, pubs and shops in Willunga it's a fantastic spot for a short romantic getaway. Shane was a very helpful host, and we look forward to our next visit!

Breakfast was excellent all my inquires re; food requirements, no road noise to speak of. Close to hotels and eating venues.
4.7
Nice little room at the back of the house. Not a cottage per se, but no the less very comfortable and well located. A loaf of bread came with the room, but no kitchen (or cleaning facilities) meant that we left brand crumbs everywhere. We apologised and the owners didn't seem too bothered. Lovely little historic town with 3 pubs - top, middle and bottom, as the locals say. Walking distance to all. Exceptional pub food. Recommended.
4.7
quiet and convenient location and the staff were friendly; the accommodation was exceptionally clean and with fresh baked bread daily… bonus
4.7
Centrally located, parking available and very hospitable owners. They knew who I was as I drove in and had everything I needed there including a free bottle of bubbly to go with the spa. It was a great location to check out the McLaren Vale wineries.

All we needed and more and great on site staff to help us.

The 2 rooms were very clean, neat, presentable & looked new. Comfortable too. Thanks the owner for the special efforts in ensuring the places are well up-keep.
Breakfast was a disappointment. Booked this places because I read that they served very delicious home-cooked breakfast. The name is indicated is Bed & Breakfast. However, there was no home-cooked breakfast. Compared to another vineyard’s 2rooms I stayed during tt trip, newer rooms too, though also no home-cooked breakfast, owner provided sufficient eggs, hams, cereals, milk, etc for each room to allow guests to cook our own breakfast, at a lower price too. My apology. Above is just some honest facts I liked to share, hope no offense.

Modern bathroom, fresh bread, freshly squeezed orange juice, spacious studio room.
Old TV, needs to be updated to a smart tv for modern accessibility.
A suggestion would be to introduce a couple of hobs for cooking.
4.7
Wonderful place, I loved the fresh loaf of bread and the breakfast options.
4.7
The breakfast was good. Two choices of cereal and spreads such as jam and peanut butter/vegemite. Also orange juice. Tea bags and several choices of coffee including expresso capsules for the coffee machine.
A screen door would have been good. This way you can leave the main door open for fresh air. Without letting flies in. apart from this it was great.
4.7
Excellent Location for visiting wineries
Very slight noise from adjoining cottage.
4.7
Location and the standard of the room.
Voices/noises from the other room could be heard clearly.
Having to travel to an adjacent town to do laundry was inconvenient.
4.7
Very comfy accomodation in the heart of Willunga. Communication with Louise was excellent. Lovely freshly baked bread was a terrific bonus. I was travelling to the area for a work trip and would be very happy to stay again - perhaps next time with my partner.
Everything was great.

Breakfast was amazing!

We loved our stay at the 1839 Cottages. The room was very spacious and furnished with all we needed. The generous breakfast supplies (bread, spreads, muesli, fruit, OJ, etc) were delicious. The bread appeared to be a homemade rye sourdough (?).... it was sensational. Communication with our host, Shane, was very easy. He contacted us beforehand to let us know that our room was ready earlier than anticipated, and he met us to welcome us into the property. The location was brilliant, allowing us to leave our car at the property and stroll along Willunga's delightful High Street. My brother-in-law and his partner joined us, staying in the cottage next door. It was the perfect set-up!
Thanks, xx
I can't think of anything - it was a really lovely stay.

We also loved the fresh sourdough and the fresh fruit was also a lovely touch. The pod coffee was pretty good too. The room was spacious with plenty of room for our luggage.
