Getting Around:
Casa Beluga is in the perfect location for anyone visiting La Paz without a car. You can easily explore the town on foot and local people are friendly and helpful should you need directions or suggestions.
If you have any tours or excursions planned you can walk to all the local marinas and typical pickup points in less than 10 minutes. Though the Malecón is beachfront you won't find local residents swimming here. I guess you could say we are spoiled for choices. It is however, a perfect spot to launch kayaks or paddleboards, or sit under a palapa to soak in the view. Our stunning beaches all require a little drive out of town or a boat ride to the islands. We can help with car service and boat excursions if you want to visit these beaches. Uber and taxis are also readily available in La Paz and you can make arrangements with your driver for a return ride home.
If you do rent a car, Casa Beluga offers safe and secure shaded parking in the carport for up to two vehicles as well as plenty of easy street parking.
The bus station for longer trips (i.e. Los Cabos) is only 900 meters from the house, and the local buses pick up in various locations around town.
No agenda? How awesome is that! Our in-home guest book is full of much more information and our recommendations for what to do, where to eat, what to see if you're looking for suggestions.
Neighborhood Description:
Enjoy daily walks up and down to the bayfront Malecón and visit all the local eateries, bars, galleries, and shops in the neighborhood. Evening strolls are a must to take advantage of the cool breezes that come after sunset and feel the vibrant night culture...and speaking of those sunsets, they are stunning so we highly recommend taking them in with a cold cerveza in hand from a rooftop terraza along the Malecón. La Paz is a progressive town with something for everyone. From established restaurants, bakeries, and retailers, to new cafes, bars, and craft breweries. Many of these establishments cater to people with dietary restrictions and preferences, and there are several small health food markets in the neighborhood too. With unique food offerings, crafts, and arts, our weekly markets pop up in various places downtown. We encourage you to patronize our local businesses and support the talent and creativity found in so many of them.

I came to La Paz on a girls trip. We loved this home. The owners are very easy to get a hold of and very generous (they left us water in the fridge to help us stay hydrated)!
The home is clean and easy to navigate.
The house is a good 30 minute drive from the beaches we wanted to visit (texalote?), but thankfully the taxi drivers are super friendly and drove us to our destination.
This home is close to “el centro” which is safe and has a few beautiful restaurants (Nemi was our favorite).
You won’t regret staying at this great home!

We stayed for three weeks and found Casa Beluga to be very comfortable and a great location. It is only blocks from the main attractions in LaPaz and there are many amenities nearby. We found the neighborhood to be safe and quiet other than the barking dogs which is pretty standard in LaPaz. Our hosts were outstanding, the communication was excellent and they went out of their way to help us get the most out of our stay!

Absolutely lovely stay! The home is super spacious, kitchen was stocked with everything I could need to cook, and beds and pillows were comfy. Victoria and Ricky were wonderful hosts! Incredible responsive to any general questions I had about the home and things to do around La Paz. I felt super safe in the home and neighborhood as a solo traveler and can definitely recommend it to anyone visiting as a central home base! Can’t wait to visit again.

Casa Beluga was inviting, comfortable with a gray amount of space to relax and dry gear. Owner/hosts are incredibly accessible and have local and scientific knowledge of the surrounding environs. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay. Close to all the action. Only complain is the beds are hard. Guess I’m a softie! 😂

The house itself is on a quiet street, several blocks from the beach but not far enough that you can’t walk. The property was very clean. The linens were all top notch. The beds were comfortable. The house is just as advertised and the hosts were very gracious and responsive. We had a wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay! The home was conveniently located to a few grocery stores, restaurants and coffee shops. Having AC in each bedroom kept us nice & comfortable during the hot nights. Host was communicative & quick in their responses as well. I would absolutely stay again the next time I’m in La Paz!

Weekend getaway to La Paz
Casa Beluga was a perfect fit for our family of five. The homes great location made parking the car and walking the way to go. The secured parking was a nice added bonus. The house had wonderful charm. Victoria and Ricky were excellent hosts who were easy to communicate with. Next time we are in La Paz we will be back to stay!

We would give 10 stars if we could
This is the best VRBO experience my husband and I have ever had. Victoria and Ricky went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, from the very start and even before we arrived we felt like we were being hosted by friends. They were never intrusive but always available. Every time I reached out for a recommendation, Victoria was immediately responsive and every single thing that she suggested was fabulous. As the Marine Biologists working at a La Paz marine mammal organization, they also lead amazing tours - Ricky took us to Magdalena Bay to see the Gray Whales and the whole day was beyond our expectations. The house was spotless and comfortable and had everything we needed. It was also walking distance to everything - amazing food, the Malecón, night life, coffee, etc… Victoria and Ricky made Baja feel like home and we can’t thank them enough for the magical experience we had.

The house, location and hosts were superb!
As our first trip out of the country with our 4 and 7 yr old girls we could not have asked for more. Victoria and Ricky were incredibly communicative, helping us feel right at home. The house was well appointed and the location was the perfect place from which to explore La Paz. It was on a quiet street yet walking distance to the Malecon. We can’t wait to visit again and will plan our dates around availability of Casa Beluga!

We loved our stay at Casa Beluga
I have to start with Victoria and Ricky. They are not only the best vacation rental hosts we have ever encountered, but they are lovely, generous and sincerely nice people.
Their communication was immediate and helpful.
The house is in a safe neighborhood, very secure and quiet.
We walked to the Malecon, restaurants and coffee shops, as well as grocery stores.
We happen to love La Paz and the people of La Paz. When we return to La Paz, we will return to Casa Beluga, too!!

Amazing
The property was even cuter and nicer than expected from the second you walked in. Everything was clean and they had all of the kitchen and toiletry supplies you would need. There was a very helpful introduction binder that had everything you needed to know. Hosts were great at communicating and gave great recommendations about the town. Cant say enough good things.
