This place is amazing, from the log house feel to the amazing sun set views from the back porch could not ask for more. This is the place you want to stay in when lake hamilton is calling!

Property was nice and very serene. Interior was clean and everything worked as needed.

It was a beautiful place. A few things could have been better, but overall it was great.

The house was great with amazing views. My kids really enjoyed it. The only complaint I really have is that it wasn’t as clean as I would’ve liked it. we plan to come back to this house again.😁

The house was excellent. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. It provided ample room for all six of us adults. The view was absolutely amazing.

Home was super nice. Big and open log house, plenty of room, lots of covered outdoor entertaining area including a screened-in porch. House is on Lake Hamilton, down a whole bunch of stairs. There's a covered spot for a boat down there, which we used. Short boat trip down the river to Bubba's (or a pretty long car ride).
Description said that cell service could be spotty, but we had no issues. Plenty of room to park, including boat trailers, in the circle drive. Pool table was in great condition.
We would definitely rent here again.

Beautiful home with a Beautiful View

We vacationed with my in-laws and young nieces and nephews. The property is gorgeous, especially overlooking the lake. My toddler LOVED exploring. The house was definitely big enough to accommodate everyone and glad they had streaming for the kiddos to watch a show or two during downtime. We mainly just wanted to get away with family in nature. A couple downsides would be that the windows don't have light blocking curtains so it was VERY bright in the mornings. Not great for mornings or naps with little ones. We didn't end up fishing because the steps to the dock were quite steep and no one wanted to trek back up. There were a few things not provided like a grill brush or lighter fluid which would have been helpful. We bought both and left them for the next group :) Overall, we would definitely stay again.

The place was nice over all. The grill was old dirty and falling apart. Cooking skillets were rusty and not useable. Outside balcony all around was not clean spider webs everywhere. Chairs were dirty outside. The bar ice maker didn't work old and molded. The pool table sticks were not useable and broke.

The owner was very nice and communicated very well. The property is absolutely gorgeous. Actually i would say breath taking having a cup of coffee on the back porch watching the sun rise. The dock was a little sketch to walk on. There was rotted stairs on it and the yard definitely needed a good mowing but with the rains we have had it happens. The home was gorgeous overall. My family loved it and wants to be back

Property was clean and convenient to the areas we wanted to visit. Our friends were impresssed as they had never been to a log home unlike me and my hubby. We will definitely be back and hope to make this an annual visit whether it is for a birthday or another occasion. The owners were Always available for any concerns we had

Great family home!

We enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful. I wish we would have known there was no internet, and the house stayed under 70 degrees because of the wood, which makes sense but we have never stayed in a log house so was surprised by this. All in all this was the perfect place for our stay and we do hope to be back.

We stayed at the cabin in Royal during our Thanksgiving break. Communication with the owner was excellent and she was quick to respond. The cabin has a very steep drop off to the lake so that made me a little nervous with our 2 year old grandaughter. The lake was extremely low . The cabin had plenty of room for us to spread out We did have a leak in the master jetted tub, but he owners sent someone out to fix it immediately. My only drawback was that the cookware in the kitchen needs some updating. The owners left instructions for the stove, but it was tricky to use since all the numbers and temps were rubbed off the oven facing. Also the pots and pans were somewhat old and not that great. Since we had Thanksgiving there, I found it difficult to find sufficient cookware. Other than that, we had a great stay.

RELAXING TIME
This was the perfect spot for getting away from everything and resetting. The property was better than what was actually depicted in the VRBO pics. It was really clean and had all the essentials one would need to get away and relax. Possibly another rocker on the back porch so 4 people could sit at the same time, but that is it. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone and would like to someday return.

Excellent Place to Stay
I can not say enough good things about the property and the property manager. The house it’s self is beautiful. When you walk into the main room the inside is only diminished by the view of the lake off the beautiful porch. The rooms are more than adequate to accommodate 6 grown men. The beds are comfortable and the views are stunning no matter what room you are in. The sheets were fresh and clean as were the towels. The living room couches are comfortable and and the gas assisted fire place is amazing and will keep you toasty warm on a cold day or night. The kitchen is very well put together with a nice gas range and a Viking convection oven. There are some cooking pots, pans, and utensils. There are plates, cups, and cutlery in the kitchen. The pool table is awesome and gives you a great thing to do when it rains or is too cold to go outside. There is a massive covered porch off of the kitchen with a big screened in porch. There is a a charcoal grill on property. In closing I will say you will not be dissatisfied with the house, location, or property management.

It was a wonderful and comfortable home. We loved it. Thank you for this listing.
Everything went well. We had to change our dates twice and thank you for working with us. And for adding another day when we requested.

Wonderful Family Thanksgiving Getaway
My family of 8 (my husband and I with 3 grown kids and spouses) had a great Thanksgiving getaway. The boys played outside, fished at the dock and hiked like kids again. The girls cuddled by the fire and sipped wine and coffee while looking at the amazing lake view! The Kitchen was awesome and I was able to cook all the sides I needed for our dinner. Each couple was able to have their own bedroom and privacy. My son even left his watch but we called and the owner picked it up and sent it to us immediately. Beautiful secluded cabin and great family memories!!

Woodsy & Quiet
Let me start by saying I was nervous about our stay due to the last review I read before our departure. However, I'm not sure what Bethany B was so upset over, especially to seek out two reviews (Which were the same). The "black hair in a house full of blondes" in the beds were from the soft bear style rug that had transferred fur on to the sheets during wash. The gnats were only an issue if you left the doors wide open for several hours BUT WHO DOES THAT when you are staying so deep in the woods? Lastly, I'm not sure what chirping Bethany had in her head but we lit the amazing gas assisted fireplace every night so no birds/bats on our trip.....but I digress.
Was this place a hotel that serves you breakfast in bed? No, its a home you are renting!
Was this place staffed with concierge? No, it's exactly what we wanted.....The woods!
Was this place a nice house that the owners rent out so visitors can experience their beautiful city for a week? Yes.
This house was exactly as it is listed! It is woodsy, quiet, on Lake Hamilton with amazing views! The weather was gorgeous. The surrounding sites were gorgeous. We were never bothered by loud road noise, busy boats, obnoxious neighbors, etc.
The home owner was very accessible and answered every single one of my phone calls or texts when we had a question. When you own a home, things can happen when you live in them but they can also have things happen when you are renting. The only reason, I saw, to give this property less than 5 stars would be the stairs to get to the water. There were lots of them & they are steep. We have a small 3 year old child & he had a tough time getting up and down to the waterfront. If the stairs were maybe less steep, it could have been a little easier for his little legs to handle the trek. The stairs caused us to spend less time near the water. If we had stayed there for the water access, we would not have enjoyed much of the water from this specific property. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property.

Love this property! Owner was very responsive in communication. The house was beautiful and clean. Lovely place to relax and enjoy the lake with family. We will be coming back in the future.

Not worth it...
I want to mention first off that I am a avid vacation rental user and have gone camping and know what county life is like...
I say this because it will substantiate my review when I mention that this rental is infested with gnats - it is horrible, it woke up my children several times at night, went into the fridge and got into our food - I'm thankful that they weren't 'no see 'ems'! I set up traps with sugar water and dawn soap and had to empty them twice a day since the bottom of the cup would be full of them, grossed out yet?
There are bats/birds in the chimney - incredibly loud and fecal residue of whatever is in the chimney can be seen in the fireplace. The outside was not cleaned up - beer cans in the firepit, nails in the gravel driveway, wasps and dirt whopper nests everywhere, porch and down on the dock (the size of a hand), spiderwebs build upon each other like they've been there for a good while - yes, I realize it's the country, but the relatively decent thing to do when having guest who have paid over $500 to be there is to wipe it all down.
Crumbs on the stove, dirty pots and pans, black hair in the sheets - we are a family of blondes, dust/insects on the window stills, linens in the dryer showcase that cleaniliness is not the priority here...
And, yes - I did reach out to the owners - several times, in a very friendly tone, but received no reply back. Hoping they will return some of my payment as they did not meet expectations. This is the first time I’ve ever branched out into a ‘luxury’ rental - and boy, was I mistaken. Really thought this was going to be magical because I’ve never gone above $150/200 for a rental. This was a big let down. If they aren’t going to put forward the effort, then the price point needs to come down.
Beautiful House and gorgeous views. That's about it folks.

Rethink this one…
Hello all - I am a person that has used other vacation rental sites and have also camped before. I say this to showcase my validity in advising you to avoid this place…
It is infested with gnats - it was horrible, they bothered us to the point that it woke us up at night and they got into our food which we had to pitch it all before leaving (I had about 8 gnat traps that I’d made with sugar and Dawn soap - I’ve got pictures to prove just how nasty it was - thank good they didn’t bite (no see ‘end are another form of torture), there are bats/birds in the chimney, so many spider webs that had built upon themselves (they should have been knocked down before arriving), fridge took about a full day before it started working, there was hair in the beds (we are blondes it was black), linens still in the dryer, crumbs on the stove, dirty pans and plates, beer cans in the fire pit, and when I sent messages and emails to the owners (who are general contractors-which I guess don’t take pride in their homes?) no response whatsoever.
I’m shocked at this since it was supposed to be such a luxurious stay for us - HAH! I’d have rather stayed in a tent… bugs that way, I can handle - not in a place that was $500 a night!!! Beautiful home and beautiful view - but not worth that price…

Quiet Family Getaway
(Our stay: June 25-29, 2021)The moment we stepped into this cabin, we were amazed by the incredible views of Lake Hamilton. This is a remote area cabin which was very quiet! My entire family enjoyed the property and the surrounding attractions in Hot Springs! We were also within close proximity to nearby stores and eateries!

Great stay at a quiet cabin in the woods!
This spacious property exceeded our expectations. It was on a quiet lakefront site between Lakes Hamilton and Ouchita. The family room was expansive, the bedrooms were good sized and the wrap around porch and views of the lake were spectacular. The stairs down to the lake wore us out a bit- 4 stories up a steep hillside, but very worth it when you get to the bottom as a shaded dock right on the water awaits you for boating, paddleboarding or fishing. The one knock on the place- watch out for ticks, they were out in force. Most of our group got at least one tick bite!
