Great location, friendly staff. Needs more sun loungers.

Beautiful setting with fantastic sea views from the front appartments. ( See view is a must) Extremely friendly and accommodating owners. The appartment was spacious and cleaned daily. The property is on a steep hill and there were 30 steps up to our third floor appartment. There is a lift in the main block but not in the two annexes. Not suitable for people with mobility issues. Agia Efimia is a wonderful little village with a number of quality restaurants within a short walking distance of the property.

There are two small pools in front of the annexes which should be a bonus to people using the accommodation. Unfortunately there were only SIX sun beds and THREE parasols servicing the entire complex. It has been said before on previous reviews that this is not enough but nothing has changed. The footprint of the patio area lends itself to at the very least doubling this number. There are tables on the patio which are never used, they could easily be replaced by extra sun beds and parasols. Holiday makers want a sun bed and sunshade next to a pooln not an oversized table and chairs.I did not see one person use the tables and chairs in the week we were there. I accept that the set up is aesthetically pleasing on the eye but it’s just not practical in my opinion. The lack of sun beds led to the usual frustrations with the 6.40am early risers putting their towels out but not actualy using the beds until after 10am and then disappearing for an extended lunch break. I can’t be doing with this selfish entitled behaviour. I would have loved to have had a couple of lazy days around the pool myself but it wasn’t an option unless you got involved in the early morning towel dash. Apart from sunbedgate the only other issue for us in our appartment was the inefficient air conditioning. It is fair to say that you can’t have it always because it was a very spacious appartment. The air con just couldn’t cope and I ended up sleeping under the air con unit in the kitchen on the sofa bed. Not really a game changer for me. Would I come back to this accommodation ? The answer is a resounding yes but only if there was a better chance of getting a sun bed now and again. The proprietors are so friendly but unfortunately some people take advantage of their good nature to the detriment of other quests.

Fantastic location and views!

fantastic view of the Bay and the pools were the best. The Apartment’s and the staff were very friendly and always on hand if you had a problem. Also provided was a stater pack of tea, biscuits, coffee and wine.

The shower fittings need updating, as the wet rooms are small, but manageable.

Great accommodation for a fantastic beach front location! Very clean room and welcoming staff.

The room was sparkling clean and the staff where very hospitable and welcoming. Lovely touches to the apartment such as olive oil, coffee, milk, juice & wine on arrival. Brilliant location right next to the sea.

The room was basic and the bed not so comfy. The neighbouring apartments bathrooms looked onto our balcony meaning it was very noisy and not very private.

Exceptional

Great value for money very clean, basic but well equipped studio for 3 friends. Had 3 comfortable single beds, 2 balconies small one with sea view and lovely large one with mountain view. Run by lovely friendly, helpful family. 2 pools with great views for cooling off in. Brilliant location, very peaceful, but only a short walk into harbour for numerous tavernas and a few bars.

Superb

The location in the town was perfect just a short walk down for a swim in the sea either below the Cactus bar or further along on the Paradise beach. Both small but peaceful. Two small but lovely pools for the afternoon dip with sunbeds and umbrellas and showers.⁶ I loved the extras like oil and vinegar for salad dressing, coffee, orange juice and a bottle of wine.

The kitchenette is great for breakfast and lunch but dinner would be a little more difficult to prepare in the space. But given all the restaurants nearby not necessarily as a good meal can be had at reasonable prices.

Great central place to discover Cephalonia with the pool as a highlight!

Mema’s appartement is perfectly located to visit Cephalonua island. Agia Efimia is an authentic place where it is good to stay with a lot of varois restaurant options. The flat is simple and has everything you need + a pool as a great highlight! Many thanks also to the great hosts!

Great location, clean and friendly but a tough night’s sleep

Clean and friendly, location and view is amazing the rooms had air conditioning and extra towels for swimming. The pools were clean and well maintained and there was also plenty of parking at the property

The shower was very small like can’t turn around small- don’t drop the soap small. The beds were very firm and was not comfortable.

Returning my beloved to his final rest at Paradise.

Brilliant location. Comfortable bed. Plenty of towels,including a large one for pool/beach. Lots of extras, in bathroom and fridge, tea coffee wine juice water etc. The staff were very helpful. It was an emotional trip, to take my husband's ashes to our favourite place. Unfortunately, I got an unpleasant infection in my eye. They just drove me to pharmacy and back. Thank you Alexi and lovely housekeeper lady - You were such a joy, and I haven't got your name. I hope that I can come again next year.

The only thing I can think of, and I am struggling to find something. I would have liked a real bread knife. I love the fresh bread from the Aghia Efemia bakers, mmmm, but only little knives. Hardly a disaster.

Good location

Apartment is in a really good location and the swimming pool is lovely. The views are lovely with friendly hosts and cleaning ladies.

Some suggestions for improvement the interiors could benefit from some decor updates, very old TV in the room.

Would stay again - great value.

One of very few accommodations in the charming Agia Efimia that has a pool. Good value for money. Great location, walking distance from everything. All staff welcoming and very helpful. Rooms are kept nice and clean, with a towel and sheet change twice a week. Bins were emptied almost daily. The kitchette is handy for breakfasts but i wouldn't want to prepare too much else as rather limited work space. Fridge and kettle were ideal. They also provide a handy washing line and pegs for the balcony. We had a Studio with a sea view...and what a fantastic view it was.

The beds are very hard but I've never found accommodation in Greece that don't have hard mattreses. So, we actually brought our own mattress topper with us and glad we did. The bathroom is very small and the shower basically covers the loo! That said, I had read the reviews and knew this before we booked and to be totally honest, after the first shower you really do get used to it. We didn't find it an issue at all.

A great place to stay.

The location was perfect and just a short walk from the centre of the town with fabulous views. The hosts were extremely kind and we were provided with wine, cheese, fruit juice etc on arrival. It was extremely clean and having the swimming pools was a big bonus. Free parking on site. Slightly too hot in the top apartment so we kept the air con on. Short walk from Paradise taverna and beach which are lovely.

Good place to stay, nice and cozy, kind hosts

Great location, great village by the sea, enough parking space, easy to find. Comfortable beds, enough space in the room, balcony, there were all the basic appliances needed and also coffee, biscuits, juice ready to use. Kind hosts, good air conditioning. Not much to complain.

Small bathroom, shower only with curtain and you stand on the floor, so the whole bathroom gets flooded when you shower. Not much space to put away things.

Tired and dissatisfied

very clean room, nice quiet area, swimming pool, welcome beverages

very low roof tall people are suffering in this room, NO blind curtains light was coming inside the room from any direction, the shower water was cut once while we were taking a shower (as it was rush hour evening time when everyone was taking a bath) and came back after 15 minutes..! not sound proof at all also., what made me also an impression was that although the cleaning ladies did a great job indeed, after our initial check in the next cleaning day of our room was after 3 days.. also 2nd time they came after 5 days the owner came with them and actually demanded to get out of the room in order to clean it! when I asked why she said we can’t be 100 people here pls go to the pool. The greatest problem of all is that mrs Vicky and her son were not polite at least with us as Greek visitors. With foreign visitors they were a little better I noticed. The whole experience was pretty much not as expected…Last but not least the elevator was broken for 24 hours as a result my 65 old mother with a serious illness taking the stairs and also while checking in NOBODY helped with our luggage although there were stairs and we were 2 women without any man with us and a child…
