Cabin #3 was perfect for my family. We loved the double set of bunk beds and loft for sleeping. The cabin is minutes away from the village of Round Pond - lobster pounds and fresh veggies from local farm stands. We enjoyed exploring the salt pond and even Pemaquid Beach. Thanks to Pamela and Joe for hosting us.

It was a great stay. Pictures don’t do the cabin justice! One of our favorite spots for sure. Owners were real nice and communication was great. Our kids loved the bunk beds too! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time staying in this cozy and clean cabin! Check in was easy, and the property was peaceful and beautiful! The cabin has everything we needed for our stay, and the children loved the bunk beds. This was a great location, and we were able to explore and go on fantastic hikes all within 15 or so minutes from the cabin. We’ll definitely stay here next time we’re in Maine!

This was an ideal place to stay. Close to many things on a Maine “to see” list. We are already talking about our next visit. Highly recommend

Beautiful cabin with very cozy feel. Its quiet and tuck into wooded area. Could see the other cabins but didn't lack privacy. Our kids loved the bunkbeds! Plenty of space for family of 5. The loft bedroom is amazing however it is a steep climb up the ladder for anyone with joint issues or poor balance. Not a negative for us but a caution for less mobile individuals. Location is perfect to get to nearby sights. Would recommend the swimming hole, lighthouse, permaquid beach, Rachel carson salt preserve. Plan your meals and make reservations as eateries get busy. Owners communication was exceptional. We will definitely be returning and hopefully able to stay longer!

We enjoyed a wonderful week in this cozy cabin, it was the perfect setting to catch up with family in Maine. The week was overcast and cool but I enjoyed the break from the summer heat in the south.
The cabin was very well-appointed, the beds were so comfortable, and our visit could not have been better! So close to everything but tucked away in a very private setting. Pamela was very responsive to questions about the area but totally respected our privacy. We appreciated knowing she was close by if we needed anything (but we didn't).
Highlights included walking at Laverna Preserve, visiting the Frances Perkins museum in Damariscotta, kayaking the Pemaquid River, Shaws Fish & Lobster and and the raspberry pie at Dot’s Bakery! Don’t miss North Country wind bells, it’s a hidden treasure.
Thanks for sharing your lovely little cottage!

Six members of my family ranging in ages 9-73 stayed in cabin 3. Everyone loved it. It was exactly as described. Although we didn’t have any problems that needed attended to, the owners were quick to respond to any communication . The cabin was very clean and in great condition. The check in and check out process was seamless. It is very apparent the owners want their guests to have an enjoyable experience. They delivered. The setting and the cabins were beautiful. I would recommend without hesitation.

This is a lovely cottage on great piece of property. It is one of three cottages and owners home is next door. The cottage was immaculate, check in was easy, communication was great, it was easy to find, quiet location. We were traveling with 3 adults and two tween/teen kids as well as two small dogs. Both sleeping arrangements bring out the kid in you- double bunks, and the ladder to the loft! The cottage completely met our needs. Kitchen has what you need for quick meals. Water pressure and temp. We’re great. We loved walking the property with the dogs and kids enjoyed a game of cornhole in the field. We frequent this area and are pleased to have found these cottages. We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was immaculate and comfortable, and Pamela was very quick to to communicate, easy to coordinate with, and made sure that we were well taken care of. The location was quiet and relaxing, and we enjoyed morning coffee on the deck and evening dog walking around the pond.
We loved being close to some wonderful Maine gems; Pemaquid lighthouse and the cafe at the Seagull Shop, Muscongus Bay Lobster Company and all the fresh seafood you can eat, and the town of Damariscotta and it’s quaint cuteness.
We can’t wait to return!

Our family enjoyed our stay at 3 Birds. Pamela is a great host. Property was super clean. The cabin provided sufficient space for the week. We did some light breakfast cooking. Our dog enjoyed the walks through the massive lot. Convenient location. 10 minute car ride to Pemaquid Beach. Looking forward to returning.

A wonderful week in the greater Round Pond, Maine area
"Three Birds" (Heron, Puffin, and Chickadee, which is the cabin we stayed in) is nestled in the woods, overlooking a little pond. With the windows fully open or sitting on the porch, you can listen to the rustling of the leaves as the gentle breezes blow, and in the evening, the croaking of the bull frogs in the pond, which was an unexpected and delightful treat. The cabin is well designed and constructed, beautifully appointed, and very clean and comfortable (including the full size bed in the loft). Round Pond is centrally located for the things we enjoy doing on our quiet, simple vacations: Pemiquid Beach, Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop (Damariscotta), reading, sitting on the porch and looking at the pond and field behind it, some cooking and some eating out, and as much Giffords ice cream as we can consume at Granite Hall in Round Pond. The hosts could not be nicer! We highly recommend "Three Birds" for a very special Maine experience.

Comfy cabin in Maine coastal area
We enjoyed our stay in this cabin with a nice view of woods and small pond.with kayaks available to explore the pond. Our hosts were welcoming and share with us some of their favorite places to explore. They also responded quickly to any questions we had about the area and property.

Wonderful family trip
We had a wonderful time staying in Round Pound! Our toddler loved spending time on the kayak and finding dragonflies and caterpillars in the fields. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, making it easy for us to prepare dinners. The mosquitos and ticks were pesky, so don’t forget your bug sprays.

Private cabin with great host
My husband and I and my daughter stayed in this cabin for an extended weekend, and it was great. Pamela reached out to me prior to check-in to be sure all instructions were clear, and left me with her contact in the event that we needed anything. Cabin is new, well-equipped, clean, and comfortable. Many great restaurants in the area. Highly recommended for a quiet, relaxed weekend.

Great cabin for a family
We (four adult family members) stayed in the large cabin. Everything was very open, clean, and delightfully decorated. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, and the front porch provided views of the small pond and various birds and chipmunks. Loved our stay.

The Chickadee Cottage was so charming, and we had a great stay! I was so impressed with the functionality of the space. It is cozy, but can perfectly fit a family without feeling squished. Very clean. And the bunk beds are actually comfortable! We utilized many of the amenities, including the fire pit. Wood bundles were available for us to purchase on the property. We also cooked dinner both nights in the fully functional kitchen. The cottage is located in a great spot, not too far from grocery stores, restaurants, and fun stuff like lighthouses and beaches. But it's far enough away that we still felt like we were in the woods. The hosts were gracious, and checking in and out was easy. Keyless entry was fantastic. When we had a question, the hosts were responsive through the VRBO app messenger and very helpful.I would absolutely recommend the Chickadee or any of the other cottages on Pamela's property.

Wonderful place!
Pamela and Joe are wonderful hosts and our stay in the 3 Birds cottage at the end of July really couldn't have been better. The cottage and surroundings are really beautiful. The cottage is well equipped, immaculately clean, was comfortable for our family group of five adults, and is adorably and throughtfully decorated. The hosts were super responsive to various requests from us and there are lots of things to do and places to go within 10 to 15 minutes of the cottage. Very highly recommend!! Thank you, Pamela and Joe, hope to see you again another time :-).

The front porch is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee, read or just relax. I highly recommend this property.

Peaceful getaway
My family and I experienced our first getaway in this beautiful cottage in Round Pound. Pamela our host was amazing and there for anything we needed. The cottage was easy to find and so quaint and cute. Everything was brand new, clean, cozy and relaxing. Our stay was rather rainy so we truly got to enjoy the inside playing games at the table and had many family dinners. Its a great place to relax, read and enjoy each other’s company. The bunk beds were definitely a fan favorite for our family! The land surrounding is beautiful plenty of space to explore the outdoors. There is also two other cottages on the property, so perfect to invite other families to join in on your stay! There are plenty of things to do within 10-15 mins of the property. We are just glad we found this spot, and we cant wait to return!!! Thanks again for our great stay!

Perfect Home Away from Home!
My family and I booked all 3 cottages and it was a perfect home away from home and "base camp" for our daughter's wedding on 7/10/2021. Our daughter was getting married at the 1812 Farm just 10 minutes up the road, and this was a perfect place for us (her parents) and family including 89 year old grandmother, aunt & uncle & cousin, plus several bridesmaids to stay. The cottages are brand new and so beautifully constructed and decorated. They were super clean, comfortable and had everything we could ever want or need. We even had a "rehearsal dinner" BBQ/Lobster boil in the pouring rain (thanks Hurricane Elsa) out in front of the cottages. Pamela & Joe were so welcoming and accommodating for us the entire time we were there and we are so thankful we found these gems! Perfect location near New Harbor (gotta go to Shaw's Wharf for seafood), Pemaquid Light, Round Pond, Bristol, and Damarascotta! Huge THANK YOU to Pamela & Joe for the perfect home away from home! XOXO -Sally

The perfect quiet getaway!
This was our first trip to this part of Maine and it was absolutely perfect four our family (2 girls, 8 and 9). The cabin and property was gorgeous and kids loved the bunk room and taking the kayaks on the small pond. The hosts were great and all of their recommendations top notch. A great beach nearby for the kids, ice cream, candy store, easy short hikes along the coast and great cycling in the area. Totally recommend and will try to go back soon!
