We wanted a lake place to bring our kids (age 5,7) and grandma for just a little getaway. This exceeded our expectations. The pictures don’t do it justice.
The lake was more than awesome. Perfect place to swim and play. They don’t call it Clear Lake for nothing! The water was super shallow, perfect for kids to play around. Very Sandy. I wasn’t sure we’d use the kayaks but my 7 yr old caught in so quick, we ended up using them for hours.
They had bags (cornhole) which we also utilized when we weren’t in the lake.
We brought our own dvds and watched them in the PlayStation at night.
We kept the AC during our stay since it was a really hot weekend. Everything was just fine, it cooled the house nicely. Everything in the house was organized well and had enough kitchen basics to make the meals we planned.
Hosts were incredibly nice and very welcoming. They had a place next door. Any questions we had they were available to answer.
All in all, the time we had here was perfect. So glad I booked!

We loved our stay. Very comfortable and clean. Beautiful views sandy bottom lake. They were extra accommodating by allowing us the use of their other dock for my family members with mobility issues. I would suggest bringing extra pots and pans if you want to cook most of your meals. And maybe an extra fan to help with airflow. Highly recommend a visit.

We were in the Twin Cities for a wedding and am so glad we chose to stay here instead of a hotel! The beauty of a home right on a lake is second to none! We swam, used the kayaks and loved relaxing on the huge deck. Plenty of room for our family of 4. Would LOVE to stay here again :)

Location, location location! This property is in a great spot with easy interstate access. You can hear the traffic but it's a slight hum in the background, not annoying at all.
The lake is super clear. We didn't fish for any big fish on purpose since we were just shore fishing, but the kids caught tons of little fish - Blue Gill, Sunfish, small bass, etc.
The square footage is comfortable for a group our size (2 adults 2 full grown teens).
The house was very clean! Sheets were fresh with crisp fold lines in them. With the exception of some spider web remnants around the doors and windows that should have been easily be whisked off with a broom.
It's not central air. It's 2 small window units. One in the master and one in the living room. It was 95 degrees outside and 76 degrees inside when we arrived. My kids said the lack of AC was their worst favorite part of the trip.
The deck is very old, very uneven, and the dock is scary. It's also very old boards that bend when you walk on them with metal poles sticking up higher than the dock holding it up. My kids were older, this would be terrifying with little kids.
There is a washer and dryer, but the fabric softener said it expired in 2017. :( It was thick like soft serve too.
The dish washer doesnt work at all - so I was hand washing dishes on my vacation.
Overall - I probably would have kept looking if I had known all of these in advance.

Owners Eric and Sue were great. They were responsive, helpful and pleasant. The neighborhood is lovely. Place was more spacious than expected. Having AC was nice as the humidity kicked in while there. The views, deck and sandy lake bottom were wonderful. Just sitting and enjoying that was a treat. The master bed was very comfortable and other beds were good too. Great to have a laundry facility. It is almost more of a small house than cabin. Would definitely stay again. I’m an avid cook, so a few more mixing bowls, oven pans and a few more utensils would have been helpful but totally made due. A fan in 2nd bdrm would be great too as AC doesn’t quite reach there. My friends and family who stayed or stopped by for a visit loved the setting and cabin. Crazy to think Hwy 35 is rt there and Mpls/St. Paul just 30 min away. We felt like we were up North at the lake. Couldn’t have found a better place or people to rent from.

It was a great family experience. My daughter and grandchildren stayed with us. The toys were great to keep them occupied when it rained. They loved the water and running in the yard, it was a beautiful experience.

This was a great lake house for our family of four. The house had all the necessities, a great deck with table and chairs, and kayaks for paddling around the lake. The owners were easy to talk to and provided great information prior to our stay. The location was convenient for going into Minneapolis as well as only 1 1/2 hours from Duluth.

Eric and Sue where really sweet and super accommodating. The cabin is very cozy and in such a good location close to the 35 so it made it a great home base while exploring the area. The lake is beautiful and it was really nice to have access to kayaks.

The house and deck were even better in person than in the photos! Everything was very clean. It's a very peaceful setting even with the proximity to the freeway. It was quite windy during our stay so we didn't get to take the kayaks out on the lake but was still quite enjoyable to sit on the deck with a great view. Sue and Eric were very friendly and accommodating. We would love to stay again sometime!
