This is a super cozy resort with pool, sauna and steam room and ideally located with the best cross country skiing right out the back door. The staff goes out of their way to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. Highly recommended.

Spidsbergseter is like home from home for us. Wonderful! Hotel, nature surroundings, staff, food, everything!
The prices are a bit too costly.

Nice hotel with close access to mountains and water bodies. There is also indoor swimming pool there. Food was very delicious.
It was somewhat hot in the room with dry air. Opening the windows would help, but I figured out how to open it only in the monring.

Great place I’m assuming for the winter ski season. Staff were excellent and professional.

Comfortable hotel, good fun for the kids with swimming pool and hiking trail at footstep. Lots of nice/ cosy sitting areas and kids play areas. Live music also.
Dinner is expensive with so-so quality and little choices. But understand it is not easy to get good chief to work in a hotel in the middle of no where.
Breakfast is all right with a little choices of warm food though.

Probably a good destination at winter, direct access to the slopes. The swimming facilities looked attractive.
Very poor condition on the hotel rooms. Small, old furniture, outdated and very uninviting bathrooms, poor air quality, no air conditioning, lack of privacy.
We also had a couple of incidents in the restaurant - glass of beer with ink in it, raw cooked fish and unfriendly staff.

The location is beautiful, really stunning surroundings. The food (we had breakfast and dinner there) was excellent. The staff was helpful, and there was an good choice of food and drinks.
We chose the hotel primarily because they had a swimming pool, and were very disappointed to find it closed. We do understand the situation with corona, but other hotels had solved that with restrictions on the number of people etc. We would have been OK with the swimming pool being closed if that was clearly stated on the website. It was not, that information was buried under "practical information". Also, when searching for a hotel, we ticked off for "swimming pool". We assume that it would be easy to inform booking.com that the pool was closed, hence not showing up in the search results.

Everything was great, especially service, SPA facility and the nature/location.
Food quality is amazing.
The food in the restaurant (all, breakfast, lunch and dinner) is very expensive. At the same time, food quality is amazing. But, it get VERY expensive if you are to pay for several people. Just for 2 days we spent over 3000 NOK only on food, for 3 adults.
