The hotel is very nice and clean. Stone (I think marble) is used throughout, which keeps the interior cool. There's a very convenient spa on the lower floor, which the owner showed us and the kids loved. Breakfast was included and we all loved it.
We got the top-floor suite, which was extremely spacious and nice, but it did lack air conditioning. Although it wasn't hot in the evening, it would have been a tad better with an AC unit. Parking is weird, but that applies to all hotels along the small river because of the way the village was planned.

Friendly staff, great wine, best location

The hotel looked really nice. The room was comfortable.
Unfortunately the owner cannot really speak good English. So we didn't get for breakfast what we originally ordered. Though this happened to us many times in Bulgaria which is quite frustrating. Because you cannot eat what you would like to eat.
Also the wine tasting was made by a person who was more interested on typing on his mobile phone. Also he was not really familiar with English.
The shower was within the toilet. So everything got flooded.

A luxurious hotel in perfect location (Wine Museum in the premises!), friendly and helpful staff, excellent local food and wine in house and in numerous neighbouring restaurants.

Lovely village, very central hotel location, and helpful staff. Free admission to an interesting adjoining wine museum. Many opportunities for photography. And while not built for the motorcar era, visiting motorists displayed courtesy and care in adjusting to the narrow and unmetalled streets.
Shower, while functionally adequate, was in need of a shower-tray replacement (and likely awaiting an off-season opportunity for its replacement).

Very poor breakfast, second coffee had to be paid

The hotel has a lovely traditional architecture. The room was large and elegant with extra credits for the nicely decorated stained glass windows, clean as well. Both dinner and breakfast were good and savoury.
It is also close to the wine museum that has really nice wines ( the only suggestion would be for the museum to add the explanatory texts in English too, but it is a nice experience all in all)

Very friendly owner, location is great and the room was good. The breakfast had amazing tasty tomatoes 😋 Free entrance to the museum of wine next door is included for the guests.
The hotel has just stairs (no elevator) so not that convenient if you are travelling with a baby in a stroller.

Breakfast was very good, fixed menu, but no problem if you ask for something more.

I liked the location, the renovated hotel, the terrace with flowers bordering the canal, large rooms, nice staff with bar opened 'till late in the night and the cheese pie served at breakfast.
It reminded me of the communist era...especially the cigars smell at the entrance, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it brought back some old memories. There were some cobwebs on the ceiling in the room.

Hotel is located in the center of Melnik, close to wine museum :) the personel was very kind and helpful.
We received only one set of cosmetics for tree people and there was no WiFi in the rooms.

Shame that Internet was only available downstairs at reception.

Everything was superlative. The kindness of the host, the hotel, the room, the bed, the restaurant, the breakfast, we really liked everything, including the location of the hotel and the fact that they welcomed us with our medium-sized puppy.
In addition, we were pleasantly surprised by Melnik, a superb place, where we will definitely return.
At the same hotel, of course!!!
That we were only in transit to Greece, but we will return for 2-3 days, because it is worth it!

Very quiet in the evening/night. Spacious rooms. There is no WIFI in the rooms, connection is limited to the restaurant and lounge area, we used our own mobile hotspot during our 4 night stay. Beautiful balconies, with good views of the street, buildings ,sky and the sandstone pyramids (hills) on 3rd floor. No elevator, a lot of stairs to the upper floors (which we had requested).
Glass enclosed shower. The room has a Mini Fridge and small desk. Adequate and conveniently placed electrical outlets. Building is very well maintained and rooms are very clean. The owner is extremely pleasant. Be sure to enjoy the included breakfast at the hotel. The owners wife is a great cook.
There is an attached wine museum if you read Bulgarian-free to guests, otherwise a minimal charge. Try the wine tasting. If purchased at the museum the wine is decanted, bottled and sealed before your eyes-bring your camera! These are local Melnik vintages- with the dry white blends the best in our view. Ask to try the "Antivirus fortified wine. It's actually a clear 44%ALC brandy that is remarkably smooth.
Prices are competitive with the rest of the wine-stores.
Very nice accommodations, especially since at this end of town parking is easy. It is approximately 500m away from the bustle of the town center.
No complaints. Be aware that WiFi is limited to the restaurant. Placing routers throughout the massively built hotel would probably be prohibitely expensive. This is a small family run hotel. Cellphone reception however is great within the hotel and throughout the town. Internet speeds range between 30-75mb/s depending on time of day.
