The home is close to the centre and amenities.it is a lovely home with great views.everything has been thought of in way of appliances etc
We took our dog and didn't have a gate at the front to stop her going straight onto the road as there is no pavement so you are straight into the road.the rear garden is raised and a big drop so was worried our dog would try and jump down .it could do with having fencing around especially if someone has children and stays there as you're nerves would be on edge.this is the only negative.everything else is perfect

Good location to walk into shops etc
Lovely well appointed cottage
Large social kitchen
Would benefit from having more comfy chairs especially when 5 people staying
9.0
Large spacious rooms with lovely views both front and back. Great facilities and only a short walk (down a big hill!) to the centre

Excellent location close to all amenities and restaurants.
Lovely cottage and large gardens. Owner very helpful.
Clean and well equipped

The cottage was clean and had lovely views.
This was not a cheap rental and we were expecting a few extra provisions, not just tea bags and coffee.
Milk, biscuits and shower gel are generally considered essential. Some hosts leave bread and jam, cakes, scones etc. so that after a long journey refreshments are ready.

Location was perfect!!! So many walks to go on and so close to the centre of holmfirth! Clean and tidy too. Was just spot on for my family! I can’t wait to book in again for longer this time!
I loved it! I can’t find anything to fault!

The house was lovely and homely. Well equipped. Host was great, happy to take calls regarding the property details etc. Good friendly neighbours too. Would definitely stay again if we visit Holmfirth again.
Maybe a gate to help keep the dog in the garden area.

Gorgeous property, perfect location close to all amenities
Back door stiff to open and lock. Garden open so couldn’t let the dog out without her being on a lead.

Nice space, large kitchen and comfy bedrooms
A bit dated in places, (bathroom)

Great cottage. Everything you could possibly need for a short stay.
There wasn't anything that we didnt like.

The location was just perfect.
The pillows had no protectors, they were also very smelly, we went out and bought pillows. The bin in the bathroom had a contact lens and cobwebs, cobwebs in the bedroom bins. The kitchen also had cobwebs under units and bottom of units. I did contact the host, she was apologetic but was at golf said she would pop in after she had finished, we were out and weren’t able to get back. I thought out of courtesy she would have contacted us again.
As the cottage is advertised as child and dog friendly, it is not secure it is easily accessible to the road from the side and next door. We had to keep our dog on a lead.
Needs attention to detail.

lovely cottage very welcoming clean and spacious, the garden was beautiful to sit out with family on an evening
couldn’t fault the property, the hill to get up to it was the only down fall as it’s very steep with cars parked and pedestrians walking up and down

Good location, close to town centre, nice garden to sit out in. Warm and cosy.
Double beds were rather small.

Loved the house plenty of room , everything you could need
If I had to say anything it would be new pillows as found them uncomfortable , but I'm fussy and normally take my own but forgot

great position- close to town but quiet.
very sunny and the patio at the back was a welcome addition- we sat out there with blankets for 2 breakfasts despite it being March. loved the large fridge with the ice maker- great for making swift G & T’s! Friendly neighbours which you don’t always get in a holiday house.
it’s too strong to say there was anything to dislike, I missed a fire in the lounge but that’s very minor and didn’t effect our comfort.

Amazing location , just a 2 iron from the very centre of Holmfirth and a pitching wedge from a footpath that leads you onto many of the hundreds of footpaths and bridleways in the area.
Nothing could have been better, the has spared no expense in the refurb of this holiday let.
