The ambience, the breakfasts, the hosts, the facilities - all were excellent.

It is very obvious that the owners take great care and attention to details, so that nothing is missing and the guest feel welcome and confortable. The location is ideal for those who want to be close to the city center but in a less touristic spot. It is also very close to the campus. The neighbourhood is very nice and quiet. There are nice places to have breakfast or a meal. The rooftop is a very nice touch, one just have to get lucky with the weather. You can rent a bike, which comes cheaper than in a bike shop or bike sharing programs.

Klaas and Renee are well-travelled and this shows in the great attention they have paid to ensuring that guests have everything they could possibly need. Really, you have your own 'suite', with your own bedroom, lovely big shower room, a separate kitchenette, and also a real bonus is the rooftop terrace with views over the canal. If we'd had time or wanted to do different things we could have hired their kayak, motor launch or bikes, all at very reasonable cost.
Although a bus ride from the centre of Utrecht (not at all a problem for us: we prefer to stay outside the centre), there's a really lovely little shopping area about 7 or 8 minutes walk away, with a wonderful Indonesian restaurant (Ina's Corner). Best meal out we've had in years - honestly!
Klaas and Renee area great hosts. We'd go back any time and have no hesitation in saying "STAY HERE - you'll love it!" to anyone we knew heading to this area.
Nothing. Everything was great.

From the moment we checked in our hosts Renee and Klaas made up so welcome. Our room was very comfortable with complimentary tea and coffee facilities. We loved the ‘Honesty Box’ which was filled with snacks if feeling peckish. Also had use of a kitchen with microwave and laundry facilities. The rooftop terrace gave fabulous views over the city, a definite must see. Breakfast (extra cost) was delicious, freshly baked bread, croissants, meats, cheese.

Lovely old house, immaculately kept, with a great view indeed, delicious breakfast, charming host. I was absolutely delighted.

Amazing place with a lot of love and concern for detail everywhere you looked. The breakfast was incredibly generous and exceptional for only €10 per person. The hosts Klaas and Renee were friendly, accommodating and always on hand for help. Access to bikes to rent, and even boats in summer. Literally everything you need and more! Can't recommend more!

Klaas and Renée have a beautiful place. The room is very quiet and comfortable, and they thought of all the little extra amenities to make you both feel at home and in a nice hotel. The breakfast is extra but they offer a great spread.

Klaas and Renée and extremely nice people and it's clear that they love what they do. Everything is thought of and we were frequently surprised with details we wouldn't have considered. The room was great, with a beautiful terrace, kitchen installation as well as washing and drying machines. Breakfast is extra, but optional. We highly recommend it. Location is not exactly central, but you can walk downtown. If you don't feel like it, the bus ride isn't long.
I honestly couldn't find anything that could be negative.

This is one of the nicest places that i stayed at. I felt at home. The room is designed beautifully with much thought to make it comfortable and cozy for traveling people. The roof is a gem - to simply sit and enjoy the views and sky (when it's not raining...:) I rented bikes from them at a very fair price and took nice walks to the center of town passing the Vilhamina park which is a few minutes walk. Klaas and Renée are amazing hosts! caring and doing their best so guest enjoy their stay.
I liked everything

Very nice typical dutch house, located in a quiet neighborhood, on the bank of a large canal, with boats anchored at the pontoon of each house. The property has a fabulous terrace on the rooftop, where you can relax around a fire pit and you can admire the view over the canal. Also, the livingroom and the diningroom are simple, but very nice decorated.
And last, but not least, the hosts are absolutely fabulous people - very wellcoming and helpful in every second.

Great location at the edge of nice residential area of Utrecht. Great roof terrace with a view of the neighbourhood and canal on the other side. Renée and Klaas are wonderful hosts.
We could check in a bit sooner and check out a bit later as well. We could order a nice breakfast in their garden. We could rent their kayak for just 10 EUR for the day, which was great (but it was a good workout till we got to the main canal in the city centre :D).
As some review already mentioned, it is like being at home, but much much nicer home, so you will be jealous that you are actually not living in this house. :D
If you come by car, you will have to pay for the parking (it is free from 9pm till 9am) or plan when to leave the car at some P+R parking, which can be of course expected as you are in a residential area of a Dutch city.
You are in someone’s house so although you have that bathroom and kitchen for yourself, you do not have the entire floor to yourself.

Everything you need is there. Warm welcome and amazing hosts.

A very enjoyable stay in a comfortable, well equipped and tastefully decorated b&b. You get exclusive use of a kitchenette and full bathroom as well as access to the beautiful rooftop terrace. Renée and Klaas were excellent hosts, always accessible but never intrusive. The breakfast is totally worth it! The neighborhood is quiet and residential but still well connected to everything. Would definitely stay here again.
Since you’re in someone’s house, there’s occasionally noise coming from downstairs. Nothing mayor but may be worth considering if you’re a light sleeper.

Everything was perfect! The couple living there is very kind and wanted to help us anytime we had a question! The place is very nice with the rooftop! The breakfast is generous and delicious! We would love to come back there! Thanks a lot

It was an amazing stay where we as a bonus could sleep in and checked out later because they didn’t expect guests the other day. The people were very pleasant and the room was beautiful with the rooftop

Renée and Klaas are seriously the best hosts ever; they were friendly and absolutely kind, helping me in every request or information. I was there for 15 days – I worked as a "guest researcher" at the University of Utrecht – and everything was perfect. The house is as in fairy tales, with cozy furnishings and a beautiful rooftop view (unfortunately it was cold, but the month of November is rainy, we know!). There is a beautiful park near the house (Wilhelminapark) and the area is residential and little noiosy (perfect for sleeping soundly). The room was cleaned regularly – always with some presents (like fresh fruit, coffee and chocolates). In the house all the people were vaccinated and very respectful – important aspects, especially during the pandemic. I was alone, in an unknown country and in the middle of the covid's resurgence, but I felt at home thanks to them. I'll definitely be back during the holidays (without having to work, I hope), to enjoy the view and the Dutch landscape! I recommend this place without reservation!

Very comfortable stay! Location is in a quiet residential area, very cosy by the water and a park. Our hosts Renée and Klaas are very friendly and thoughtful. The room, the rooftop, the breakfast and especially their hospitality were what made us enjoy our stay in Utrecht a lot.
Cannot really name anything. It was great. Thanks!
