Affordable, safe & quiet - within a couple of minutes from the social district downtown.

Pretty clean. Safe. Easy check in and appreciated the earlier check in time. Friendly. Affordable. Quiet.

Bathtub needed bleached - there was residue dirt on bathtub floor and a long hair. I took a shower instead of a bath because of it. Other than that - perfect stay.

Good, but needs more work.

The location was convenient to the area we wanted. The manager was accommodating when we asked to change rooms because it smelled like smoke. The new owner is making an effort at revitalizing the motel.

Breakfast wasn't offered and our room wasn't cleaned after the first night and there was no indication that it wouldn't be cleaned. In our first room the smoke detector was hanging out of the wall and in our second room there was not a smoke detector at all. We had to use the kitchenette sink as the bathroom sink too. I originally asked to modify our reservation from 2 nights to 1 and was denied.

Convenient.

It was convenient. Quiet.

The drain in the tub didn't drain very well. I had water up past my ankles. There's signs all over the place that say no smoking but there was definitely smoking of cigarettes and weed.

It gave me a good place to rest and or relax.

The rooms were good size and clean. The best thing was probably the water pressure when taking a shower.

Some piece of the bed was broken and would make a noise when turning over. No grab bars in the shower and not much anti slip on tub bottom. Talking to a computor screen to check in, ask questions, or check out is the worst. I guess you do it this way for safety of the staff, but is a terrible way to communicate.

Heart of Manteo is a No-Go

Convenient to everything. Manteo is a small area. We were able to walk to most locations.

We stayed in room #111. There were roaches in the room. The hot water in the bathtub ran constantly. Consequently, our showers got cold quickly. Construction workers were extremely loud and had no regard for other guests trying to sleep.

Great location and value priced

Extremely dated. Three incredibly worn pillows on the bed. Mold in the bathroom. A fight outside our door late at night was not the fault of the motel but speaks to some of the clientele.

Convenient fir a short stay

It was convenient to Manteo downtown area, as well the aquarium and about a 10 min drive to public beach access in Nags head.

It was fine.

Location and price. The freezer actually froze items. Large room. Already sheets on the couch bed. Enough pillows for everyone.

Shower pressure was terrible, and the temperature on the shower was really touchy—very difficult to get warm but not HOT water. Remote for the tv didn’t always work—the 8 button never worked. No pre-made coffee available. (I’m always hesitant to use the coffee pots in the rooms because who knows how well they’ve been cleaned). Room could’ve used more lighting. The A/C didn’t work well, no working air/vent into the bathroom.

Over all it was okay. We was not happy with the small beds but it was just for one night so we made it work.

STAY ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE

The location was central to downtown Manteo.

IF YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN, DO NOT STAY HERE. There is no one at the property monitoring what goes on at the property after hours and you cannot contact anyone. Check in is done through an indiscriminate kiosk. This hotel is not family friendly at all.

not being able to understand the staff when I called with questions. the coffee pot did not work. no exhaust fan in the bathroom causing for damp toilet. no a warm welcome at check in

Very bad. No manager. No staff.

I booked a room with two beds and when I arrived after driving over 5 hours to get there they said they gave me one bed. One bed for 4 people. I have to go through hell to get a refund as we couldn’t stay there due to their error. The lobby looks like it was recently re done yet all their plants where dead and there were two liquor bottles by the chair filled with a questionable brown liquid. None of the staff is ever there and you talk to a random man on a screen so if you need soap or anything during your stay better hope the store down the road is open. During the time trying to get my refund the manager was never there I called 5+ times a day and the manager always “just left”. It was a whole train wreck and I will never book here again. Thankfully the people we were with let us stay with them as it was 10pm and everywhere was booked. We drove an hour back to their house after driving all day and I ended up having to call my bank to get a refund. Don’t do it.

Quiet and peaceful need better coffee pots

The shower didn't have hardly any pressure and the head of the shower needed to be adjustable . The shower head needed to be fixed . It sprayed water on the floor and wall .and I had to clean the floor every time we showered

Amazing update to old motor lodge! Super friendly owners! Also has single bed rooms available!

The update was amazing!

The lighting in the room we stayed in wasnt the best. Only 1 lamp on night stand next to bed, bathroom light & vent light & 1 dim light over the bathroom sink. Could possibly try using brighter bulbs in lamp or adding another to the dressers!? Amazing stay other wise.
