could be better with a bit more personal service

great location, good sized room, good parking.

the hotel doesn’t have its own generator and this was a problem due to load shedding, therefore no lift working. The breakfast was basic, toast could be served, so not having to stand and make your own while the breakfast goes cold, that was when it was in use due to no power. Didn’t like the re - use of jam/marmalade pots either, surely for the money they could provide new ones .

location, parking and sea views. Breakfast was good.

no braai facilities for residents on 2nd & 3rd floor. Only braai facilities for residents on 1st floor which was not used at all during the period we were there. Really ridiculous arrangement, specially during load shedding and high season with very full restaurants. Night club across the square are very noisy with loud music until after 01h00 in the morning.

our room was overlooking the night club bojangles so was quite loud until late. the property also didn’t warn us about load shedding and we didn’t have access to the schedule so it was very dark and uncomfortable until we found one of the battery operated lights

Harbour House is a stunning hotel but to avoid disappointment make sure your room is in the hotel.

Harbour House is a stunning hotel Ticks all the boxes. IF you get the right room. Make sure when booking that you are in the actual hotel and not in the building down the street.

When checking in we were ushered to a room in a building down the street. The room was very average and the bar close by played very loud music until midnight. We could not sleep until it stopped. We had stayed there before (in the actual hotel) and we were really excited to return. We were not informed when booking that we would not be in the hotel. Very very disappointing.

Dog poo was found along the passage outside our room

The property was good except we were disappointed, the reason being even though we booked 2 months ahead of time, the room allocated to us was not at all satisfactory.

The carpets were not cleaned and vacuumed and the room had no privacy with full view of workers from across our window. The extractor fan was too loud.

had a cold shower as there was no hot water 2hrs after check in. no load shedding so that was not the issue.

Great location. Modern room design. Very clean. Excellent breakfast. Nice view on the bay.

At the first day the elevator didn't function. And we had to lift our luggages to 3 floor.

The first lady at reception that greeted us was not friendly at all! We were disappointed at no support for 4 plus hrs loadshedding at night( eskoms fault) but not even hot water for tea or coffee.
