This is a holiday centre, so it is more like a (YHA) youth hostel rather than a hotel, but for older active couples rather than any other demographic (at least during my short stay). So, the room is basic, although importantly, the bed and linen was very comfortable but space is kept to a minimum and the bathroom is functional. But, the building had a great range of facilities, including a swimming pool, sauna and games room with pool, table tennis and table football - just what you'd expect in a residential centre. It would be a great place to be based for an activity-style holiday, as you'd be sharing with like-minded walkers, cyclists and skiers (in the winter). Probably one of the most pleasant, structured and useful welcomes to any accommodation/ hotel I have ever had - great staff.
Very much a community-based activity centre, meaning the need to share a table at dinner/ breakfast with groups of people who seem to know one another.

Calm place, close to the centre. Really polite stuff.

The restaurant in the hotel was good. It appears basic but it does the job. You will always find something to eat.
I returned after lunch and Renata made up a delicious cheese board for me.
The rooms were small and the bathrooms were basic.

Great location, close to the main road outside Samoens, but quiet. Good breakfast buffet with a great selection of breads and a good selection of cheeses. Great advise for hiking in the area from the reception desk. We did not try the pool, unfortunately.
Everything was good. Minor points for the breakfast: the coffee is rather disappointing and it would have been nice to have croissant/pain au chocolat or similar.

The rooms have been recently renovated to a good standard. Very functional design.
Breakfast was pretty basic. More like up market youth hostel. Terrible coffee!

comfortable beds, refurbished rooms and bathrooms, balcony with view over the mountains (in my case - there are rooms without mountain view as well)

Free parking, not much else that great really, just an average place that is good for last minute.
Breakfast was average, no eggs and bread was ok, as was meat and cheese. Was like sitting in a school assembly room, not a hotel restaurant. Most staff really nice, 1 guy on reception no smile and attitude. Shower was very tight and hard to move in and I am 5'7 and 65kg. Loads of school children so not good for 1 person or couple.

Great communal style breakfast and dining. appreciated the sandwich station for packing lunch! My room appear recently renovated, which was great
It was a tiny bit loud in the evening, but that definitely depends on where in the building you are staying.
