The breakfast was tasteful and the atmosphere was enjoyable.

Breakfast no ahh factor loveless put on the plate dirty fork had to ask for things twice. Dinner not impressed at all. Pool area quite dangerous to move to get to one’s couch. Not that clean either. Staff very friendly but hotel felt cold and uninviting, we could have been anywhere in the world. The view and location was outstanding.

Good room. Comfortable bed. Good shower
We should have been informed on booking that there was a carnival as we wouldn’t have come those dates. A sewage pipe could be clearly heard in the room when people above flushed the toilet in the night. It woke us up. Food in restaurant average -not worth the money

Lux hotel with fine linens, modern decor, and a nice wellness facility.
Very pricey.

The Wellness Centre was amazing. The hotel services were also perfect, and staff were accomodating and did door service for fetching ice and gave us water. The pleasantries of chocolate and macrons with a personal note were a very sweet touch. The BKS was an amazing experience. The room was beautiful bathtub and shower. Also bed was so comfortable. For a couple that isn't new to Halifax this felt like a newfound treat and will make you feel pampered and lovely. Thank you Muir.

Ocean View and Location
The night tables beside the bed are too small. No night reading lights on bed

The rooms are amazing and comfortable.
Some staff were quite up tight. We were questioned upon entering the property as to why we were there and how they could help us. In other words, you really don’t belong here. We had been there for two days. 90 minute wait to check in without any real explanation other than they were full. So was every other hotel in the area. House keeping staff were awesome.

The Muir is hands down the best place to relax. If the views of the Hotel are not stunning enough, visit the 2nd floor and enjoy an outstanding wellness centre, gallery and gym.
The Muir has brought a touch of class to Halifax.

Our breakfast was not included in our stay but we went to Drift for breakfast and it was exceptional.

Location great, Rover available for short little jaunts very convenient.Everyone friendly and helpful. Room was spectacular, sauna...BKS Speakeasy alot of fun.
Food was delicious in the Drift. We thought Dinner portions small and pricey and a bit more variety on the menu would have been nice.

As the newest hotel in downtown Halifax, this was a very special visit for New Year Eve. Muir is in an excellent location overlooking the harbour and features several unique public art sculptures on the property, including the steps to the harbour. The room appointments were amazing, particularly the hand-crafted bar (non just a mini-bar) as well as the bathroom with separate WC and bath/wetroom shower. Service was excellent, all staff from the parking valet to the room service to the front desk made us feel very welcome and went beyond to serve us.
Although the breakfast a la carte menu in the restaurant was creative and the food was excellent, I might have thought a buffet would be offered, but perhaps this is still a left-over restriction from COVID.
