Really good value. The hotel itself was very chill. Everytime I saw Enrique (owner I think?) he checked in to make sure I was good.
Shared kitchen could use a little freshening up, but still everything was totally functional.
4.1
Hamacks were fun, spent on them an hour instead of breakfast 😂

Er werkt een hele aardige jongen. Prijs is heel goed.

4.1
Very comfortable apartment with airconditioning and decent shower. Beds were also comfortable.
The kitchen did not have enough pots, pans, utensils, etc.
4.1
amazing view, many hammocks, great room (we even got upgraded to a room with private bathroom for free), the owner is really nice
the kitchen really is the bare minimum - every pan is completely scratched out, only one person can cook at a time, there are almost no utensils (one small cutting board, no peeler)
4.1
Friendly staff with nice rooms.
Wasn't too much going on in the way of restaurants on the island
4.1
The terrace is very nice.
The staff not exist. The reception maybe works one hour for day.

more then a friendly owner, so Kind and helpful 🙏🏼
we Got an upgrade because of the Birthday of my girlfriend. He was organicing a driver for the snorkeling and pushed him to be on Time 😁

we booked an apartment and this was really a good idea - it came with a lot of space and a possibility to air the whole space in no time just by opening doors and windows
kitchen has basic equipment suitable for basic needs (cooking, frying, making coffee)
the staff is super nice and helpful (i. e. the damaged showerhead got changed quickly)
Bastimentos' chicken are very noisy - the Hill Guest House cannot be blamed for that of course

The owner upgraded me to my own room. Good coffee. Nice view. Grocery store is 1-2min walk.
Closest beach is 20-30min walk in mud. I had to take my flip flops off. They were building sidewalk, but that will take time. Beach was beautiful tho. Bathrooms need little bit more attention.

Enrique, the owner, is a very friendly, attentive person, who is always willing to help you out.
The room was quiet big for the price we paid, had its own bathroom and the cleaninglady came by every few days to change bedsheets and towels.
The dining area is very spacious with a wonderful view over the island and ocean, there are hammocks to chill, games for adults and kids and a supermarket down the stairs.
We felt very welcomed and made contact with the other guests very quick
The kitchen could be more spacious and equipped, but we always managed to take turns with the other guests
4.1
Simple room, laundry, kitchen to your disposal
there was noise at night like the washing machine was running
4.1
Helpful staff, the owner is very friendly and very helpful.
Great laid back vibe and fantastic views.
A new fridge wouldn't hurt.

It was the best accommodation I stayed in the entire Panama, all wood, beautiful, well decorated amazing waking up the the birds sound! Super amazing
All goodp

The place was nicely decorated with a nice view of the sea. The owner was very helpful. It was good value for money. Free coffee. Good base to explore the island and close to restaurants
The noise from the town on one night which wasnt the fault of the hostel
4.1
A good night's sleep. Friendly, helpful staff. A functional kitchen. Free coffee in the morning.
There were some hammocks, but no comfortable chairs in which to settle with a book.
No mirror in the bathroom.

Very friendly hotel owner, with great views from the common areas.

It's located in the town, near a shop and restaurant. View is beautiful - you see bay and colorful houses.
Room was equipped with an old ventilator so loud, that it was impossible to have it on, the wall between our room and the other one was not complete - there was a hole in the corner. Shared bathrooms are very small, dark and sinks seemed to be falling off the wall. From the shared balcony you could see some rubbish lying in the bushes next to the building. It's just better to pay a bit more, but have a nicer accommodation on the island.

Very bad WiFi

Great staff! Enrique and his family are great hosts and are actively trying to make Bastimentos island an even better destination for visitors.
Atmosphere is the nicest we had in Bocas!
Wizard is one of the most beautiful and relaxing beaches in the archipelago (they are building a new track that should make it much easier to reach it).
Big room with a nice air conditioner
Having to take the boat back and forth everyday with our 1 year old daughter was a bit tiring and expensive.
Even though the village is cleaner than other islands we have been to, there is still a fair amount of trash laying around (many locals are raising awareness of this issue, though, and I am sure the situation will improve soon).

We had a very nice room with kitchen. The owner gave us plenty of tips of what to do and can also organize tours.
They told us that our room had a problem and said they want to cancel. However with the support of the Booking.com they gave us an upgrade to an other room.

this place feels more like a home than a Hostal. Enrique is a very nice a knowledgeable guy. At his place are growing so many different fruits, it was just amazing.

I liked the veranda and other common places equipped with hammocks, books, games...
There is space in the back of the house where there is a grill a pool table (didn't use it as I couldn't find the equipment). Everything is very cozy and well thought out.
It could almost be a perfect backpackers/travellers getaway place if it wasn't for the omnipresent garbage all around.
I don't mean just around the guesthouse but the whole island. It's fast becoming a garbage heap with all the waste a moderen human produces nowadays...and it is just being thrown on the floor, into the water, under the houses, into the bushes, trees...
The kitchen is basic which is OK but it is used by many but only cleaned by few. Perhaps some more cleaning utensils and more dishes would be helpful in keeping it operational and hygienic.
Again... The garbage is all around the island. Everywhere.
There is a transport fee to and fro the island for persons. I guess the same goes for garbage and nobody wants to pay to transport it off or recycle it. So it just stays on the island, in the water around the island.
Today's person produces much more garbage than one used to. It is mostly in the form of various plastics and aluminum cans from what I can see walking around the island. This can all be changed with very little effort. Most of the garbage are valuable recyclable material.

staff is really nice
I had a free upgrade to a private nice room
I could see trees and birds from my bed
hammocks
sunset view from the guesthouse
I missed some more equipment on the kitchen, such as something to boil water
I had expectations of going to Red Frog by walking, but it wasn't possible cause of the trail conditions, but there are other nice walks around Bastimentos

Everything was perfect, besides the kitchen that is too small if there are many guests.
I highly reccomend the place! Was great

The common area is beautiful, it has a kitchen to use and enough space to relax. The location is great, right in the center and the view overlooking the town is amazing. We got a free upgrade for our room, thanks!
The room wasn't so clean, there were no lightbulbs so no light in the livingroom and kitchenarea in the room. The bed could have been a bit more comfortable.
4.1
Everything is ok. Kitchen is slightly small. But functionally well.
4.1
Comfy bed, good location, helpful staff
Some problems with water supply, rectified by Hostal
4.1
The location is great, the facilities are good, all clean, good air conditioned, hammocks...
Enrique is an easy going host!
The kitchen did not have gas, so we could not cook. If you will need to, ask them first to guarantee you will be able to cook.
4.1
Enrique is the best host we ever had. He was extremly helpful und made us feel very welcomed.
You can get pretty good andvise on what to do and enjoy the beautiful hostel. Everything was clean and comforting.
4.1
Great village, very friendly owner (who built the guesthouse himself!) and an all round unique experience. Comfortable room, good facilities throughout and nice communal areas to socialise with others.
The island feels less touristy and more real than other places in Bocas. The locals in the village were super welcoming and genuinely wanted to help. We saw a basketball game on the night we came, which was packed and brought a real buzz to the village.
The restaurant opposite (the owners daughter is the cook) serves amazing food for a really good price. Would highly recommend staying here for a more authentic experience of Bocas Del Torro, away from the more touristy Bocas Town.
