The hotel is in Carlisle city centre, so it is in a very good location. It ls also very close to a large supermarket as well. The room itself was very comfortable, and it was also on the top floor of the building, so there wasn't much noise from the bar as well
The check in was done in the bar, so it involved me having to make my way with my luggage, past the smoking area outside the entrance to the bar, and through the fairly noisy bar before checking in. The person who did the check in was very pleasant, but they also had to work at the bar as well, so it was fairly rushed

The location of the hotel is very good, as it's in Carlisle City Centre, and also only a few minutes away from a large supermarket. There was also a very nice breakfast included in the price as well, which meant that the room was very good value for money.
The check in wasn't great, I found I had to ask most of the questions about the hotel and the room in order to get any answers. The bar in the hotel doesn't seem to be very busy, but a lot of the time, there is very loud music blaring out of it., when there's no real need for it. There was a terrible smell of smoke in the toilet in my room as well, which was difficult to remove, even with the fan on, and the door open.
4.0
Location, price and a very comfortable bed. There's a Bar also so was handy to get a couple of drinks before we left for to watch a gig in the Brickyard.
Could've been slightly cleaner in the shower as it had black mould on the silicone that seals the shower tray. Toilet seat wasn't the greatest.

No breakfast and a scuffle in the bar

Absolutely filthy! Bed wasn't comfortable at all and due to the room and shower being dirty, the bed felt dirty. Left after first two nights!

I stayed in the attic room- very poorly designed
Skylight in my bedroom didn’t have curtains
Bathroom needed some work
Modernisation required

Room was clean, neat and tidy. Kettle provided with tea and coffee facilities. Bed was comfortable. Room supplies checked/updated daily. Nice to stay in a place again with a shower that worked (prior stays had some strange shower facilities). A place to sleep, and go out and explore Carlisle from its good location, not far from the train station or the city centre, and some local shops.
While the room was clean, neat and tidy, the room was basic and small, looked a little dated, just space for a bed, bench, bathroom. That by itself made little difference to me, so value for money as not as expensive as others, but if you want luxury this room wouldn’t satisfy you. The room I had faced the road, and you could hear the smokers from the hotel who gathered out the front talking. I wasn’t actually in the room when the sirens went blazing past, but you could hear normal traffic as soft noise so not the best for light sleepers, though I slept fine. I confirmed before coming that wifi would be available, and it was, though I found the wifi to be patchy. The one powerpoint was close to the bench, and the overhead light did not shine on the bench.

Good value for the prize, friendly owner, easy 10 min walk from the train station. The room was decent size, reasonably clean and the bed confortable. Fine for a night or two.
Most rooms are facing the main road, with traffic all day and night. Can be disturbing for some. But you can always use ear buds if necessary.

Cleaning staff Location, Nothing else to like
..Was nothing like advertised. No restaurant no breakfast no toiletries no entertainment. Working man's pub seemed to used by workers coming to city. Run down but reasonably clean and daily cleaning was good. Not expensive but not what it said on the tin which is unusual for Booking. Com.

Not value for money
Tiny room, not clean enough, noisy with bar below. But good staff. I heard from locals of bar fight in the past.
Thank god I was not with family.

I liked the location. Very close to the centre of Carlisle.
The noise from the duke box in the bar area was too loud in the room. Could do with soundproofing,

To be fair, the bed was comfy.
Everything was rough, do yourself a favour and sleep under a hedge.

For £65 we got what we paid for, a basic room with coffee making facilities and a bathroom. We literally just needed a place to crash for the night and this did exactly what we needed it to. The staff were good and the location was also good. The room was big and the beds were fairly comfortable.

There is absolutely nothing what I can like about this dirty and stinky place
The room which our family stayed is absolutely disgusting.
Mouldy walls and flors.
Shower dirty and full of hair.
Spider webs in every corner of room
Avoid it...

Staff very pleasant, felt welcome. Room was clean and tidy with good tea and coffee supply. Given a key for side entrance to building to come and go as I wanted. Can't fault the location. Car parking behind row of buildings slightly complicated to find but always helpful to have regardless.
Only had a small towel in bathroom so drying off from shower was slightly different - not the end of the world. Unfortunately my mattress felt fairly sunken in the middle so it wasn't the comfiest but was still sleepable. Couldn't find a lock on the inside of the room door so that could be added for some extra security.

The wifi did not work.

Bed was comfy, room was small but pretty clean. Staff was friendly
A lot of stairs. Bathroom was separate from room, was meant to be an en suite. Bathroom shower and bathroom was tiny and there damp/mould growth along bottom. Room was small.

Breakfast and cleanliness was great
Street noise but that can't be helped and a bedside lamp would be helpful

Staff were very nice. Beds were clean. The breakfast was lovely and there was off street parking
The place is needing a full refurb. There was a nasty stain on bedroom floor
