The zimbali security treat you like you are trying to trespass whenever you use the west gate. Sometimes asking you to open windows and doors like you are a common thief. As for the house we stayed in, you get the feeling the current owner is not the one who bought the property, not their money. Poor attention to detail, broken things don’t get fixed. One tv remote for the whole house, one aircon remote for the whole house, broken shower doors, broken aircon, kitchen doors falling apart. Dryer doesn’t work. Tv missing in the lounge downstairs. My kids had to come upstairs to watch cartoons… the only thing good about it is the fact that it’s Zimbali

I loved everything here. It was a lovely stay.
The host was very rude and not welcoming at all, no visitors were allowed even tho we paid for an 8 sleeper and it was 7 of us our one person was not allowed in

The house itself is not too bad..
The agent (Ragini from Platinum Destinations) initially asked for a higher amount of breakage deposit, R3000 instead of R2000 and demanded to have it within 24hours, which was a few days before checking in, but I paid it nonetheless. When I pointed out what Booking.com website said vs what she said she deleted the msg and blamed the error on loadshedding. The Booking.com website says we receive the money back on checkout day, today is 3 days later and still no refund.
Additional to that we struggled to move around the Estate, nothing was explained to us, we needed many access codes because we had a chauffer and had to keep calling her, it was a hassle.
Upon checkout day, she was no where to be found and I had to call the Estate Management Center to call the Home Owner to give us a code to checkout. It was a mini nightmare.. there are more awful details but I can sum up that it was a very unpleasant birthday weekend for me.

The property is beautiful and the scenery put of this world, enjoyed access to the beach and hotel and its close proximity to the mall
I guess the owner can improve the issue of getting rechargeable lights in case off loadsheddi g. As candles were leaving a mess in the house
Lights in case of loadshedding.
To also inform the guests of the loadshedding schedule to ensure they are adequately prepared

Collection of keys was smooth the only issue experienced was the problem of our access cards not giving access to the valley of the pools. This caused an frustration because normally access to valley of the pools is given.
Secondly the key to the garage door was not available and when. Loadsheding took place one was locked in the estate because I couldn't get access to the garage and manually operate it during loadshedding.
They was no gas in the cylinder and one could not braai during loadshedding
Access to be provided and access cards to be checked before arrival that all access pass is available and the garage side door to have keys available
