Good restaurant downstairs. Staff was kind and helpful and allowed us to adjust our length of stay. Tea and coffee and a shared mini fridge was available outside our room.
We were there on Sunday so restaurant wasn't open until noon, and no kitchen available to cook in. AC didn't work.

Great place, lovely vibe and a good location. Upgraded the room for a small price and the host is lovely.
Had an early checkout to go to the Poas vulcano and they even offered me to get a shower after checkout time.

Very kind people, beautiful and chilled garden with places to sit and a restaurant. Cool little hostel where you get a lot for the low price.
The only thing is that the rooms are pretty noisy because the hostel is directly in the center next to a bigger street. But therefore you got a good location.
4.5
Really liked the location, the atmosphere and great hosts. The rooms are nice and spacious.

Really nice garden
Music in the evening

Confort , room was good.
The parking was just open at 9:30pm , so was very inconvénient to move the car late.

shower didn’t work properly
noisy location
indoor parking is good but a problem when two cars are parked behind each other. the first one can’t get out.

The staff at this hostel is rude, unsynpathetic, insulting. They are not concerned with the customer; only in making as much money as possible.
4.5
Location was excellent for me. They did not offer a breakfast. There was a very nice breakfast within a 1/2 block.

It is a little oasis of peace in the city and the tiny kitchenette, the balcony and the garden add up charm to the place.
I stayed in a shared room, maybe barely 6m2. We were only two that night, but already quite tight, only 2 power sockets and only the one main switch. Had we been 3 or 4 it would have been difficult to sleep, tight and smelly.

I loved the garden, the dorm, the beautiful house..... I really appreciate to be so close to restaurants, the town and the National Park. The breakfast was deliciuous and the host is an absolute charming and lovely family!
Everything was perfect. Thanks so much for having me and all the tips you gave me!

Great location, nice communal terrace and garden. Free coffee and tea, roomy dorm room with big closets, hot shower! Little refrigerator for guests, possible to do laundry here.
No outlet on second bunk.

The location was pretty good, beds are comfortable, it was clean. Restaurant's food is delicious and there is good beer.
There wasn't many electric connections on the room

I liked the low cost and its a spacious hidden gem in the town centre with a nice atmosphere, especially the social spaces.
It was advertised as a hostel, which was important to me, so i could save money on food. I brought my own with me, only to find there was no fridge, nor cooking, food preparing areas. You have to eat out or buy food at the hostel restaurant, open from Weds each week.

Nice location and general vibe. Food and drinks at the restaurant are excellent.
The shower and the bedsheets could be improved

The garden is totally that nice how it is discribed and looks like in the pictures. When I was there, they had a concert in the garden with really good musicians and a super chill vibe with lovely people. The food is super lekker and Danouk and Marco are awesome hosts.
Nothing.

All good and clean

Very nice owners.
It looked a little older. There was a slight complication with parking. You have to park in the street until the restaurant is closed which is at 9:30pm. Parking in the street was ok in the end, however we were still a little worried about our rental car.

The location was great - right across from the plaza, 2 blocks from the bus station, 1) a couple doors+2) a block+ 3) 2 blocks from some very good restaurants. Plus 4) they have a good restaurant in house. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful.
The bed was a little lumpy. It was a little noisy (some equipment would fire up for several minutes each late afternoon, and trucks would make a racket as they decelerated on the downhill slope at the corner nearby). The plaza was closed - not their fault, it was because of the pandemic cautions.

The restaurant food was great. We enjoyed the company of the staff who were very kind and welcoming. They also run a nice blog where they help out finding the right places in the country paired with beautiful pictures.
The beds were a bit old and there were parrots on the roof that made noise at night.

The bed was very uncomfortable. Showers less than great

The location and garden is great. They also have a new restaurant with delicious international food!
The room was quite loud as it was on the road side. Bathroom and room weren't very clean.
