About this house rental
Seascape Retreat is ideal for large families, multiple families or intergenerational families to share, as this sprawling three level holiday home has bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas on all three levels, ensuring everyone has their own space when desired.
You will enter the home from the middle floor. This level has an open plan lounge, with 65 inch TV, dining room and fully equipped kitchen that flows out onto a large entertaining deck. The deck has a 10 seater outdoor dining table where you can relax and take in the fantastic hinterland and water views. On this level is the master bedroom with king sized bed, which opens onto the deck, has amazing views and an ensuite. Also on this level is the main bathroom, with bath tub and shower, and a bedroom with a queen sized bed and doors opening onto the front garden. Keep the family entertained with the new home cinema which is a smart TV so you can watch the latest shows and movies on!
The top floor has a media room, with a 75 inch TV and sofa bed, which can sleep two children (upon application). There’s also a bathroom and bedroom with two long, single zip beds. Both the media room and bedroom open onto a balcony.
The lower floor features a huge second living area, with 65 inch TV, and a kitchenette with cooking facilities and a fridge. This area flows out onto another large deck, with outdoor lounges, all with views of the harbour and surrounding native bushland. There’s two more bedrooms on this level and a full bathroom. One bedroom has a king sized bed, shares the tranquil views and opens onto the deck, and the other bedroom has two, long single zip beds.
Seascape Retreat has been styled and furnished in an elegant yet relaxed coastal style inspired by its seaside locale. The home is air-conditioned and all bedrooms have ceiling fans. The single lock up garage is not available for guest use. An undercover carport is connected to the home with several car spaces on the driveway
CARS, BOATS & PARKING: The street is regulated with community by-laws. It is prohibited to park on the roadside and the end of cul-de-sac needs to remain a clear way. Maximum number of vehicles is 4.

Some of the luxuries you can enjoy are Platter/Boards, BBQ Packs, Picnics, Breakfast Boxes which can be added when you complete you Guest Agreement. Additional costs apply.

House was beautiful and cosy. Stunning views. Only thing that made our stay a little uneasy was the step down into the threater room and the lip into the bathroom45 (Two elderly people that were staying both missed the massive drop and fell down and hitting themselves on the chair)

Lovely home with amazing views and ample space for large or multiple families. Disappointingly, the house was dirty. Kitchen especially. Dishwasher was only a half size and there were 11 of us for three days. Limited salad bowls/platters and utensil drawers were really grotty. Whole place needs a good clean. On arrival, the previous guests’ used towels were left inside the front door and smelt. Bedding configurations weren’t arranged as requested. Blinds in bedrooms were ill fitting. Attempts to communicate with house agency were unsuccessful. I would recommend if these things were improved as it’s a fabulous location but needs attention.

The home is lovely and in a gorgeous location. It is well laid out with plenty of breakaway space. Sadly, there seems to be a lack of attention to the details of the home, and there were a number of issues with general cleanliness.
Unfortunately the house was badly appointed and also in need of a lot of maintenance work: for example, issues with plumbing; only one tiny dishwasher to service 10 people; broken media room chairs; curtain rail hanging out of the wall; broken and ill-fitting window blinds; large hole in flyscreen; washer/dryer was smelly and not functioning properly; ill-fitting toilet seat that leaves you sitting on porcelain; zero amenties in the downstairs kitchen, etc. etc. making this a way less than 'luxury' stay. As we didn't want to spend the week with a house full of cleaners and maintenance people we chose to wait until after we left to notify the agent, who was responsive and professional.
A previously unmentioned caveat which we found odd was that we were expected to clean the floors before leaving, a surprise particularly given the premium price we paid!
The beds were very comfortable, and overall we had a nice family holiday, but our stay was somewhat marred by issues that should have been obvious to any staff that are cleaning the house; or are to do with inadequate fittings/amenties/ill considered policies which could be easily addressed.
I hope that our honest feedback will enable the cleaners and owners to make the effort to bring the accommodation up to the ‘luxury’ standard that was promised for the next people who choose to stay at Seascape Retreat – it really is a lovely property that just needs a little care and attention.

Our families loved the movie room and the deck. The dishwasher is too small for the size of the house and we had no hangers in any of the 5 wardrobes. The washing machine also broke. The house has huge potential but it’s also alittle too far outside town.

The overall property was great, the lay out of the house is ideal especially for families with kids of various ages, media room was a bonus. Our only concern was the overall cleanliness of the property, seriously wasn't up to scratch for a high end home as it is advertised / needs a thorough clean ... The Property needs some TLC as well , as we had a problem with one of the glass sliding door ( missing screws so frame was coming away from the glass ) and falling curtain rods in one of the bedrooms ... Once some of these issues are fixed the property would be excellent for a family holiday.

The property worked really well for us with everyone enjoying their privacy when needed and separate bathrooms were great too. The cinema room was fun as well and the outlook was lovely. The house was clean and comfortable. Things the property could use are coat hangers. We couldn’t find any which was annoying. Kitchen basics like foil and cling wrap would have been helpful. We didn’t think we should have had to bring our own coffee pods to a luxury property. Those little extras make a difference when you’re staying somewhere nice. All said, a great experience for everyone.

Our stay at Treetops Retreat was wonderful. The house was beautifully presented and located in a peaceful court overlooking Shoal Bay and Soldiers Point. Within 10 min we could be at Salamander Shopping center, Nelson Bay or any of the wonderful beaches. The house more than comfortably accommodated our family of 6 adults.
This property was new on the rental market and early on in our stay we noticed that there was no iron or ironing board. When brought to the attention of management, we were supplied with an iron within 24 hours. The service was excellent.
Will definitely want to come back again.

Great location, nice renovation and great styling and furnishings.....everything is new, however the interior job is too rough. The plasterboard for ceiling and wall are too thin, gonna be careful draw the curtains
