About this house rental
Perched above Okanagan Lake in-between Kelowna and Vernon in the lovely district of Lake Country BC you will find your vacation home while you spin your okanagan adventure into action.
There is a wonderful selection of beaches close to our location including Pebble Beach 2 minute drive down past Gray Monk, offering scenic walks along the beach with no development on the lake side (virtually unheard of anymore). There is also a renowned vegetarian restaurant called the Salted Caramel, The Museum restaurant as well as a couple ice cream shops to choose from. The world famous Kalamalka Lake (lake of many colours) as well as Wood Lake are a short drive away.
You will be located within the "scenic sip" portion of the wine tour. Here foodies and wine lovers will appreciate the world class wineries and restaurants. Walking distance to Ex Nihilo, Arrowleaf and Gray Monk Estate wineries and a short drive from many more including the highly touted "Block One" at 50th Parallel Estate winery. Aside from wineries the homemade pasta at the intimate and always popular (make reservations) L'Isola Bella Restaurante and the Greek House Restaurant are fantastic!
Park off the street or at the top of the driveway with adequate space for a boat if desired (please mention at booking). Stroll down flagstone stairs past the cascading waterfall to your own private walkout suite. An expansive deck with plenty of room to chat or lounge about. Perhaps a latte or cappuccino from the Nespresso machine, or English tea in the garden sitting area with the sound of the waterfall in the background while looking out over the lake and mountains.
Unwind and decompress in the circular hot tub with all the sounds of nature and stars overhead it will loosen you up for your next big okanagan adventure.
An open floor plan invites you to enjoy your family holiday or your romantic getaway in style. An eclectic mix of modern accents and practical comforts combine to provide a welcoming and memorable experience.
Cork flooring throughout and natural organic cleaning methods provide an environment w free from harsh chemical odours and providing as close to a hypoalergenic space as possible.
The living room has a leather pullout couch with a queen mattress and down topper for added comfort. The bedroom boats a kingsized bed and a walk-in closet...makes it feel like a home when your luggage is out of site.
The area is rich with locally made products stands produce markets . Friday evening there is a small local farmers market or enjoy the larger version in Kelowna on Saturday only a short drive away.
Enjoy hiking at Jack Seaton Park or to the highest point at Spinekop mountain for a lookout view of the entire area. Lake Country is an unforgettable place to make memories and keep you coming back to make more.
For families with children we have a free local splash park just minutes away as well as a many amazing beaches orchards and farms...DONT MISS THE KANGAROO ZOO!!!
For golfers the Jack Nicholas Designed “Bear” course at the Okanagan Golf Club or tee it up at the 36 hole championship, Predator Ridge Club both under 15 minutes by car.
See you soon!

The suite was just as advertised and the host was very attentive.

We stayed at Anita's place for 2 wonderful nights. The inside space is very stylish, yet so comfortable and fully equipped with everything one might need.
The outside area is quite magical, offering a beautiful green space with twinkling lights and lots of privacy. The hot tub was much appreciated and kept sparklingly clean by our hosts.
Anita and her husband are very kind and made sure we had everything we needed....even providing a Christmas tree for the space, as we stayed during the holidays!
I highly recommend this spot and look forward to staying again!

Highly recommend, very clean and perfect location if sightseeing and looking for a little wine touring.

I loved it here and my only concern would be it was a little difficult parking.

Other than I had sooo much trouble with the Apple TV. Vincent and Anita had to help me numerous times as I am not good with electronics 😃.

It was fantastic. We chose it partially based on proximity to Grey Monk and walked there for lunch. Two other wineries/restaurants are also walking distance. There’s a great beach area, that could probably also be walked to. There was a really really nice coffee/breakfast spot there, despite that it was vegan. The ice cream shop attached to that had fantastic fish and chips, but we liked their vegan fare too.
The rock stairs at the property could maybe be a little dicey for the elderly, but I didn’t have any trouble with them, even with my recently injured knee. There were 5 or 6 great places outside to sit and enjoy (maybe with some wine). They were outstanding considering the interesting landscape. We were delighted and encouraged to use the hot tub every night.
I won’t list all the little extras provided that greatly enhanced our stay, so as not to obligate them for future guests, but know that you will be well taken care of. They are very helpful and very timely with responding to questions.

Clean and comfortable with lots of private outdoor space to enjoy the beautiful garden.

Felt at home as soon as we met the owner and walked into the place . Art paintings created by the owners were displayed throughout the rooms . It was contemporary, cozy . Had everything needed to cook or prep basic meals and snacks .The overhang on patio was delightful , as we enjoyed a Spring rain , while eating and enjoying our wine . Landscaping was so inspiring as they had created this hideaway on a steep hillside - complete with waterfall . The lake / mountain view from the patio, dining room or bedroom window was a bonus !Truly a spa -like experience and the bonus - lots of vineyards with a few kilometers.

My daughter and I stayed at the property for 10 days. The suite itself is newly decorated and very comfortable with a big patio for relaxing on. The area is beautiful, very quiet and close enough to the lake to walk. There are several options for eating out locally and the ones we tried were wonderful. Would definitely recommend.
