A truly unique property. Lots of space and had everything you need for a large group to stay. We ranged from 19 years old to 70 years old. Every age range was conformable with what the home offered.
It it the most off the wall decorated home i have ever stayed at and we just loved it.
It is a short walk to town, and only about 2 minute drive to the ski slopes.
I can say for sure we will be back in the future.

Looney Rooms was perfect for our large group of friends on a week long getaway! The property was as described and perfectly located. There are several restaurants within walking distance as well as a grocery store for essentials that we frequented, and the property had plenty of parking for our group with several cars.

What a fun place! Full of color, fun and clean. We had a blast with friends in this magical house. Perfect decor in a ski village. We had so much fun at this house that we spent our first night at home instead of wondering the village. We just did not want to leave this happy, accommodating home. Check in and out was so easy as property owners were helpful and attentive. We will definitely be renting again!

I was very excited to stay at this creative property. I had artists and grandchildren with me who loved all they had to look at. The kids loved the loft area. Adults and teens loved being able to walk into town. This vacation was a success!

Everyone loved the uniqueness that the house brought. It puts a smile on your face every room you walk into. Since the temp was nice the first night, we spent the majority of the time on the back patio with the fire, listened to music and danced. Since it was raining, we couldn’t experience more of the outside decor. The wigs, costumes and hats were the biggest hit. We sang and danced with different outfits on. We originally rented the house based on walking distance to the bars but the second reason was we thought it would be fun. Both were true! Would recommend the house to others.

Rented this house for a bachelorette weekend and it was perfect. The host responded quickly to every question and even helped me with places for our pub crawl. The little things that are a pain to remember to pack are all there for you which is a big help. Plenty of room, nice & clean, location is perfect, outdoor space is awesome. I have nothing bad to say about this experience. I highly recommend!

Family Ski Trip
From the moment we walked through the doors we felt transported to another world. It instantly set the vacation vibes - everywhere you looked there was something fun to discover. Property was clean and well stocked. We were a stones throw away from downtown which made walking to and from the bars and restaurants very convenient. 10/10 would recommend!!

The pictures don’t do this property justice! Everyone from the kids to teens to adults enjoyed looking at all of the little details put into the property. There was plenty of space for everyone and the property had everything we needed. We had a large group and everyone was impressed and said they can’t wait to stay here again! Highly recommend!!

Fun filled weekend at Looney Rooms. 3 families comfortably fit with 14 total people. Kids loved all of the wacky and fun decorations. Very comfortable and 2 kitchens made it easy to accommodate everyone. Will definitely stay again!!

Family Getaway
This Looney Tune house is so eclectic and cool!!! Really great location, walking distance to winery, EBC, and main strip on Washington. We had 7 guests and there were still 5 beds unused (we rented the top and bottom units). All bedrooms have private bathroom and kitchens were fully stocked with all of the essentials! There were also some of our favorite board games available to play. I would definitely recommend this place for a family or friend group. At every turn there’s something else to look at. Nice and warm in the winter and all beds were comfy! Owners were responsive and check in and out were very easy. Highly recommend!

Exceeds expectations
A wonderful mix of art museum and comfortable, well appointed, and clean accommodations. Hosts are exceptionally kind and helpful who went above and beyond to make use feel welcome. Perfect proximity to downtown with a private quiet surrounding to the home. Certainly a unique experience; one that we will remember for years to come.

Great Family Time
Had a nice ski vacation and stayed 4 nights here. Fun decor with a large central area to play cards and games. Lots of beds for our family of 6 to choose from. Just a short 5-min wall to the downtown restaurants.

Amazing property and owners
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is beautiful and the pictures don't capture the true artistry of the owners. We enjoyed the art, colorful decor, "mixed CDs" and the lighting to truly make us feel like we were on a vacation from the moment we walked in. The owners made us feel welcome and we enjoyed getting to know them during our stay. The property is very clean and in an excellent location within walking distance of downtown Ellicottville and close to the ski slopes. I highly recommend this property!

I've stayed in dozens of VRBOs all over North America. None were anywhere near as cool, funky and unique as this place. Suzy and Frankie were the kindest and warmest hosts we've ever encountered. Perfect place with special surprises ensure we will stay here again the next time in Ellicotville.

Great location! Fun Decor!
We stayed with 12 female family members ranging in age from 21 to 62. The property is amazing; funny, tons of space, and well kept. You can't beat the location to town. We hope to return each year. Suzie and Frank are extremely nice. You can tell they take pride in their home. They even had homemade pizza for us the first night.
Our only suggestion is allowing guests to have access/control to outdoor patio music. It was controlled by the owners who weren't always home. It was so loud we couldn't hear one another on the patio both nights. Not a deal breaker as we would love to return..just trying to be helpful.

Fun had by all!
Not only is this a great location (short walking distance to town, short drive to slopes) it is a great layout with plenty of room for our group of 12. The decor is so fun - there is a surprise at every turn. Lots of seating for dinner and relaxing. Beds are comfortable with good sheets and towels. The owners are on site for any thing you might need, but are not intrusive at all. We would book this house again in a heartbeat!

At every step of our weekend, the owners checked in to make sure our weekend was enjoyable. Susi and Franke were tremendous hosts! Their place is so entertaining and perfect for a group of 12.
Every little piece of the property was carefully/strategically decorated. The property location is perfect to enjoy all of downtown Ellicottville.
Our group plans to return here every year going forward.

"Once in a lifetime property"!
What a unique, fun and amazing place! This home is truly a “once in a lifetime” experience with thoughtful, kind and giving hosts. Prior to arriving, we had a few brief conversations with the owners about our stay. I mentioned we would be celebrating my husband’s birthday and our favorite music. Upon arrival, they had prepared a delicious homemade surprise for us and in addition, they had music waiting for us by the stereo! They even took the time to show our children their art studio which is adjacent to the property.
The home itself was very clean and accommodating with every room conveying the thoughtful expression of the owners’ artistic talents. The location was fantastic, a barely 5 minute stroll to downtown.
We travel often and would highly recommend this wonderful property. Honestly, we cannot say enough about what a wonderful time we had.

Fantastic
Looney Rooms was amazing. Living space was spotless and comfortable. Art work was amazing. Everywhere you looked there was some piece of unique artwork.
Owners Susie and Franke were amazing people. They had chicken ready for us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed on a daily basis. They went out and got us bottled water. They were very informative on where all the places in town were plus any events happening.
The accommodations were amazing. Beds were comfortable and outdoor spaces were fantastic. It was awesome having three full washrooms with showers to accommodate 7 women. The location was great. 5 min walk down the street to bars and shops and 10 min crawl back ! Lol
Can't wait to go back and will definitely stay at Looney Rooms again.

Couldn't have been better!
A fantastic weekend away in every respect. This rental was about as unique as it gets, with artistic and punny decor covering almost every inch. Beautiful skylights and open space upstairs. Can't beat the location, with ample parking.
I think oftentimes people become concerned when they see that owners of any rental live on-site - but this actually made our stay even better. Franke and Susi are such kind and wonderful individuals and will give you either as much privacy or support as you'd like. It was such a pleasure meeting them and staying in their gorgeous and entertaining space. We will definitely be going back soon and I would highly recommend that you check it out!

Fun place, great location and hosts
Great spot for an extended family getaway. Walking distance to EBC and Washington street shops. 5 minute ride to the slopes. Plenty of space for our crew with comfortable beds & pillows. Franke and Susi are great hosts and were very flexible with our arrival and departure. The smoked brisket and banana bread were unexpected treats. Definitely planning to go back in the summer to take advantage of the outdoor spaces.

Unique and inviting!!!!
We were in town for the Ellicottville Lacrosse Festival. Chose Looney Rooms because it looked and sounded offbeat and unusual, and it did not disappoint. The accommodations and the yard are so over the top fantastic to be reason enough to stay here. However, its the owners that truly made our trip special. They are the nicest, friendliest, most open and inviting people you will ever meet, and I say that without exaggeration. We had planned to go out with friends into town for dinner and drinks but ended up hanging out with the owners for 5-6 hours instead. What other VRBO owners offer to go shopping for you if you need anything, or offer to take you into town or pick you up if you have been drinking, regardless of the time. What other VRBO owners would spend time with your child, really listening to them and encourage them to pursue their passions in life. It may sound strange but it was a truly special weekend. We truly felt that when we left we were leaving family and close friends.
I could go on and on about how great our stay was. If you are open to staying at unique places and meeting new, unique, and special people, book your stay now. We will without a doubt be back to visit our new friends.
