About this farm stay rental

Family gatherings are a hit with this large spacious home and 1 acre property. The house boasts 6 bedrooms that sleep up to 16 people with 4 full bathrooms. Gather together to eat in the kitchen or spend time outside enjoying the surrounding countryside and farms. You will be centrally located between Seattle, Tacoma and Mt Rainier yet feel like you are out in the countryside enjoying the peace and quiet of the property. Amazing sunsets from the front porch. Toys and games for the little ones.
The Space
The house is located on a 8 acre horse farm. There is a large red barn and outbuilding near the house. Horses are in the distance and you can see them grazing or being ridden by their owners. The house has a surrounding pear orchard, small pond and whimsical playhouse. It is quiet in the country but only a short drive to Seattle or Tacoma. Sunsets are amazing each evening right out the front door. At night you can hear the ducks, frogs and coyotes. The horses whinny in the distance but if those noises keep you awake, closing the windows easily keeps the noise out.
The farm house is decorated with antiques we have collected or from items directly around the farm or barn. We have themes to each room, the cow, the chicken, the horse, the pig and Loft. This is a fun house to just be in with the surrounding property. You can cook with fresh food from any of the several local markets and farms only 1-2 miles away, watch a movie or snuggle up to read a book or visit with family and friends on the porch. You relax from the minute you arrive.
The Cow room is the master bedroom with a King size bed and large master bath with a soaking tub and large shower, dual sink vanity
The Chicken room has two twin beds with a closet
The Horse room has a queen bed with a closet
The Pig pen has two twin bunk beds and two closets
There is a full bathroom, tub/shower at the end of the hall
The Loft has two twin trundle beds in the main area, a reading nook and pack and play.
The Loft bedroom has a queen bed. There is a TV in this room. There is a full bath/shower in the loft area.
There is a small play area in the loft with toys like trains, dolls, doll houses, a small table and chairs for craft or coloring. This space can accommodate a complete family.
The Neighborhood
Even though you feel way out grocery stores are only a couple miles away as well as Costco and Wal Mart. Lots of places to eat like your major food chains and local eateries. Downtown Sumner is charming with antique shops and restaurants. There are 3 major farms less than a mile away where you can get fresh produce, fruit and flowers.

This home was perfect for our family of 16! We stayed for four days the first week of August. The layout of the house provided enough space for us to be together for meals or TV watching, and yet when we wanted to have some alone time, we could do that, too. We loved the wraparound porch and the beautiful grounds The house was clean and well maintained. The host contacted me prior to our arrival to let me know that the dishwasher was broken, and he graciously provided enough paper plates, bowls, cups, and plastic ware to accommodate our needs. We would definitely highly recommend this property!

This large house was just perfect for our family stay in Washington. It's about an hour outside the city, close to shopping and eating in Tacoma, and an hour from MT Rainer. GREAT LOCATION!

We were 4 adults and 7 kids and everyone had their own space inside and out. The house had everything and more than we needed. The owner was responsive and worked with us when we submitted a request. Thank you John for making it a wonderful weekend for all.
