The good was that it was nice house with fenced yard on quite canal a few minutes from a waterfront restaurant and fishing. The bad was the host. She will not answer messages or calls. She wouldn’t give door code till two hours before check in. She didn’t tell us the refrigerator wasn’t working and when I complained about having to go buy coolers and ice for a two day stay with five people she said she would refund us $40…we receive $30. Also we sitting on patio enjoying our coffee when the yard guy came to mo mow. Seemed like bad planning…

Check in was very easy. I was well prepped on how to get in the gated community mostly without issue. There was a time when I tried to enter the neighborhood after 7pm (when the attendant at the booth leaves) and I was directed to a kiosk where I was to show my ID. The instructions were still simple enough though.
The place was mostly clean. I can tell that whoever was previously there had at least a dog. There was black pet hair in the sheets and on top of the comforter of the primary bedroom, making me think that the sheets probably weren’t washed..
The freezer/fridge also completely stopped working during our stay. I reached out to the owner and received no communication until a full 48 hours after our stay was over. It was disappointing to have our food spoil and not be able to fully use the features of the kitchen.

We stayed 2. 1/2 day of 7 day trip. Electricity went out and owner did not respond for 3 hours. She said she never got phone call Vrbo said they they would refund us our money with hotel stays. After we left got a hotel Vrbo said they would not fulfill what they said they would do. I’m very disappointed in a company that does not keep their word

The kitchen is kind of small and has limited counter space. The oven/stove was very DIFFICULT to figure out.
We could not figure out how to set the front door to remain unlocked. That meant if someone went out, someone had to go open the door for them.
The threshold on both patio sliding doors needs a trip hazard warning mat. The threshold is about 3-4 inches tall. One of our guys tripped over it a couple times.
The foosball table did not have a ball. The owner had a ping pong ball on the table which we quickly crushed and couldn't play foosball.
The tub chairs in the den are VERY worn.
The kitchen needs more "tupperware" for storing leftovers.
The bathtub in the hall bath leaks water out of the back of the tub and drains slowly. There is also a glass soap dispenser in the tub. That is crazy. If somone dropped the glass container in the tub obviously that would be dangerous.
The house was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed getting in the water off the boat dock. One of our guests caught a fish.

We really loved staying here. The covered glass patio was so very nice, especially during the rain at night. So peaceful. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen stocked great! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to town.

Our family enjoyed our relaxing stay! The home had plenty of space, the kitchen was well stocked and the view was beautiful. Our crew loved taking the paddle boat through the canals!

It was such a sweet week. My grandbabies said they had the time of her life. They loved playing in the water and not having to worry about rough water. We will definitely be back next year.

Loved the sun porch for all of our Rainey days. To chilly to go out on the water, but nice big inside to spread out with 3 Co workers

This house is well furnished and has plenty of room to spread out. Our kids loved the backyard and being able to fish from the dock.
The biggest issue with the house is that it’s in a guarded community. We were not informed of the process for entering the community before our arrival. The gate attendant was rude and impatient as I scrambled for my ID and tried to find the address for verification. If we had known before coming into town that we needed to have that info ready, it would have helped not start off on a negative experience. The line gets pretty backed up at certain times of the day to enter community (backs up into a busy intersection) and we had to wait around 5 mins in the evening each time we came back. Just a warning to others looking to rent this house, have your ID and know the address or name of the manager ready so you don’t get barked at by the guard. It is not worth coming/going into the community, so plan to leave once and return.

Accomodating
Unit was accommodating. Only issue was the mild annoyance getting through the gate. Didn’t realize it was a gated area until after I rented it. That being said we had quite a few visitors and they all got in so it really wasn’t a big deal

Great lake house/location. Very clean, and the property mngr very quick to respond to any issue/ques
This was our first time to rent a vacation property, so to say that I was a little nervous is an understatement. This weekend was our 25th wedding anniversary and my husband, children and I desperately needed time away. This was the perfect place for us to unplug from our lives, and reconnect. There was only one small hiccup the morning after our first night, and it was a common issue with homes that use septic (it just needed to be emptied), but when I say the property mngr was immediate with their responses and getting someone out to empty ASAP, I really mean it. We were impressed. We only left the house once to go nearby sight seeing, but as we were so excited to go back to the house, we chose not to eat out. We cooked our fave foods in the kitchen, which was very accommodating. We found it to be fully stocked w clean pots/pans/silverware. Stove was glass top and also very clean. We found the beds in all the rooms to be comfortable. I especially loved waking up before everyone else and having my morning coffee in the sunroom overlooking the lake behind the house. I suffer with allergy asthma so I tend to take allergy meds on a regular basis, but to my relief I found my issues greatly reduced while in the home🙌🏼. Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay for such an important and much needed time away for our family.

Fantastic set-up for our short getaway
My family of four traveled and our friends (a couple with one child) to Granbury, and we wanted a place close to the water. This house was perfect for us, with two bedrooms for the parents and one bunk room for the kids. The sunroom in the back with the window AC unit is an awesome place to read, play board games, or just relax, especially during sunrise and sunset. The gate kiosk to enter the neighborhood is mostly efficient, but did struggle at times to quickly move long lines into the neighborhood. That's our one negative thing to say about this awesome house. We brought food and drinks, and I can't think of a single thing that this house was missing during our stay. Well done! Close to Granbury's town square and not far from the all the dinosaurs of Glen Rose and Fossil Rim. My boys had an absolute blast.

Perfect Sister Trip
My sisters and I wanted a place on the lake with a pretty view and lots of room to work on our scrapbooks. This house was very spacious - we never felt crowded - and provided several different areas to relax. We cooked our meals in the functional kitchen which was well stocked with small appliances, pots and pans. We enjoyed eating in the large sunroom, from which we could also access the outdoor sitting area and the dock. We had plenty of parking for our 3 vehicles and found unloading/loading to be a breeze. One thing that changed regularly and caused some confusion, probably depending on who was working at the time, was we never quite knew what to say or do at the gate to gain access to the community. Sometimes the gate just opened for us when we provided our ID. Other times, we were asked questions about who we were visiting and the address just to be told they couldn't find our names...this after a few days of having gained entry. It became a game to see what they'd ask each time. All in all, we had a great time.

Lovely long weekend
We had a great stay at this home for a long weekend away. Everything was super clean, and the beds were comfy. The paddleboat was a big hit! We enjoyed watching turtles and fish from the dock and playing with the games and foosball table. The kitchen had everything we needed, and it was great to have the dryer to dry off our swimsuits. I also appreciated the extra touches, like the power strips on the bedside tables so there were plenty of outlets for phones, etc. We used the neighborhood saltwater pool once, and we loved it! Unfortunately, the owners can’t control the hours, and when we tried to go back at a time when the pool hours sign showed that it was supposed to be open, it was inexplicably closed. No problem- we headed to downtown and tried out the city beach instead. The house was well equipped with towels, extra blankets, etc. I had a couple of minor questions, and the host answered right away— super responsive. Great stay!!!

Great stay
Had a great time at the lakehouse. Perfect spot to store a boat overnight. The solarium is definitely a plus with both inclimate and hot weather. It really allowed us to enjoy the outside no matter the weather. Host was very attentive and had very quick responses. We would stay here again. Thanks for everything.

Family get together
Loved sitting in the indoor patio we had a great time together and the house was a great size. This would be fun in the summer with the water right there, it was a little to cold in February.

Wonderful! Great value
This property was perfect for our getaway! The large kitchen table, game room/glass patio, and dock were wonderful hangout spaces for the 6 of us. The neighborhood was quiet but friendly. The home was easy to relax in and allow for time together and apart. It was clean, well-kept and even had new appliances in the kitchen! Highly recommend, great value!

Very nice short vacation. Quite neighborhood. Not actually “on the lake”, but still very relaxing.

Very clean and very comfortable
Property owners are great and very communicative. House was clean and had everything we needed and had a great layout. The thing that set this house apart and why we booked here was the extra large table and second table in the sunroom. Could easily fit everyone over for a big family dinner. Very quiet neighborhood and we had a great time.

Relaxing family getaway
This house was perfect for a long weekend with our family. The paddleboat was a big hit, and our kids taught tons of fish. It's a short drive to outdoor activities in Glen Rose, but also close enough to the amenities of Granbury. Will definitely consider it for future long weekends.
