This was our fourth time staying at Mae's sweet house - wonderful, as usual!
The house is so welcoming and comfortable, thoughtfully decorated and nicely equipped. We really enjoyed the outdoors, it was unexpectedly perfect weather for grilling, relaxing and bird-watching. Amazingly peaceful.
Next visit we hope to do some fishing on the Sound, and some kayaking on the pond. It's a gorgeous spot, and Mae is a kind and responsive host. Thanks again, Mae!

I recently stayed in a charming Air B&B on Long Island, NY and had a wonderful experience. The property was clean, well-maintained, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The host was friendly and accommodating, providing clear instructions for check-in and ensuring that I had everything I needed throughout my visit. The location was peaceful and quite. We woke up to the sounds of Loons in the morning. April was a great time of year to visit as it's before the summer tourist crowd. I would highly recommend this Air B&B for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway on Long Island.

From the moment we walked in the door we knew we would never want to leave. The cottage and property were so enchanting. It was extremely clean and decorated so charmingly. We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and cozy. I loved all the special touches and interesting decor. The view out back was spectacular, so nice to sit and have your coffee. We spent time at the lovely beach just down the block. The neighborhood was so pretty and quiet. Love Lane is a cute block just minutes away with shops and restaurants, fun to visit! It was such a perfect weekend with a group of 5 lifetime girlfriends. We are already talking about our next stay.

This cottage was perfect for our NoFo getaway. It was immaculate, well appointed, and the decor was charming. Pretty neighborhood and the beach was a 5 minute walk away. We look forward to staying here again soon.

The beach house was great. As soon as we pulled up I was in love. The house was charming. The inside of the house was wonderful. It was clean, modern yet cozy. The attention to detail was perfect, the bedding, Turkish towels, even the bath products. The kitchen was well stocked everything you could need, and more. The backyard was lovely perfectly placed hammock to enjoy the view of the inlet. The beach was a five minute walk down the road. The beach was so private and the few people we met were so friendly. The sunsets were amazing. We spent every morning and every evening at the beach. It is the perfect location. It was minutes from all of our favorite wineries. We will definitely be coming back here.

A three day stay with torrential downpours and two teens could have been a nightmare, but this house is so special that it turned to to be one of our favorite vacations to date. We felt so cozy and calm watching the egrets and herons feeding in the inlet, and the sun came out the third day for kayak time. Lovely attention to detail and design, and a truly remarkable location…it all just lets you take a deep breath and relax. Mae is the best, can’t say enough good things about her and this beautiful home. We hope to come back again soon!

We attended a wedding at the Sparkling Point Vineyard and the location was just perfect! The house is a quick walk to the beach and is just adorable.

Mae's family beach house was the perfect getaway for our small family of three at the end of the summer. It truly felt like a very well-loved family home which makes the experience of renting a vacation home so special. The cottage is perfectly situated on an inlet with privacy on both sides. Beautiful views of the water, perfect little outdoor set up to enjoy the mornings, afternoons and evenings. The kitchen and grill set up were great for us, updated bathrooms a plus and super comfortable bedrooms for us and our son to have his own space. We have a two year old and needed to be home for naps and being able to enjoy the great outdoor space while he napped was such a treat. We drove to towns along the Fork for lunches, farm stand visits, and brewery and winery visits too. Greenport Harbor Brewery & Restaurant, Palmer Vineyards, Love Lane Kitchen and Magic Fountain were all perfect family spots. We hope to make the North Fork a special place for our family to visit in the future and loved experiencing it from Mae's cottage!

Our stay at Mae’s house was everything we could have ever wanted. Her home and property are gorgeous! Mae was very responsive and so pleasant to deal with. Everything was perfect and as described! What you see is what you get and so much more! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back and are already counting the days!

Spent a week in this lovely cottage that was the perfect size for the three of us. The cottage is quaint and private and is surrounded by the inlet and land preserve so while neighbors are nearby, they are not on top of you. Backyard was relaxing and took advantage of the hammock nestled in between trees. Kayaks were a plus and many launches on the inlet gets you up close to the many birds living around the inlet (not often you are within a few feet of Osprey hunting!). Beach was a short walk away and took advantage on hot days. The house is the prefect location as it is close to many hikes, towns, shops, and vineyards to explore. Never more than a 20 minute drive to exploring the whole region. Mae was such a responsive and lovely host and appreciated her help when needed. Only wish was that the primary bed was a Queen or King size to accommodate two larger people comfortably. Regardless, I hope to be able to come back and rent again! Thanks for a great stay!

The house was everything we hoped for and more. Lovely and spotless. The host was very responsive to questions and concerns. Beach is down the road and lots of hammock time right by Goldsmith Inlet.

The Beach House was the perfect little getaway for my family. It was quaint and beautifully appointed with beach related touches all throughout the house. The backyard was a wonderful extension that was set on the water. It was ideal for early morning coffee or a relaxing meal later in the day. The beach was just a few minute walk down the road. Our girls loved collecting seashells, and the sunsets were outrageous. Though we were lucky to have incredible weather, Mae’s house would be wonderful throughout all the seasons. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be as the leaves change color or as the first of the snow begins to fall. There are plenty of places to visit nearby. We love Harbes Farm for children and Love Lane Kitchen for a great meal. My girls looked forward to carousel rides in Greenport and we all savored desserts from Blue Duck Bakery. The house is also minutes away from all the wineries. Just an ideal place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely beach cottage. It was well equipped and beautifully appointed. It felt like home for 10 days. The garden was so relaxing and private. The proximity to the beach was so convenient for a relaxing stroll in the early morning or to enjoy the sunset. I had excellent communication with Mae. Overall it was such a positive experience and definitely a place I would return to.

Mei’s home is absolutely wonderful. The decor is beautiful and she didn’t skimp on anything. It’s so tastefully done! We had a fabulous time!

Mae’s north fork cottage provided a very comfortable setting for us to enjoy each other’s company and humorously reminisce the past through a three day term of mixed weather. The accommodations, both inside and out were very clean and comfortable, enabling our group of six seniors to enjoy a pleasant few days together. The outdoor settling is tranquil and picturesque, and the kitchen provided all of the necessary elements to prepare full course meals. Kayaking about the adjacent calm waters was a treat.
A well trimmed lawn is prudent throughout the extended course of Long Island’s notorious tick season.
Thank you Mae.

We had a wonderful stay at Mae's charming beach cottage! We stayed with our toddler, and my parents and it was just perfect. The home was immaculate, and stocked with everything we could possible need. It was a great location, close to restaurants, wineries, the beach and shopping. The home was exactly as described, and Mae was very easy to communicate with. We are looking forward to staying there again soon!

We had a girls getaway on Memorial Day Weekend. We loved every minute of our stay! The house is beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. Contained every amenity you can think of, including plenty of linens, towels and kitchenware. This is a must stay for a group of 5-6. We especially enjoyed the beautiful backyard patio area where we had breakfast each morning. The beach is just a 5 minute stroll and was basically secluded on a holiday weekend! Lots of shells and stones to pick up and great location for bird watching. We will be back!

Had a wonderful stay with 2 friends over a beautiful weekend on the North Fork. The house was perfect -- clean, well-located, beautifully decorated, and had the most idyllic waterfront backyard. Would love to come back again!

We first stayed in this beautiful, comfortable North Fork cottage in August 2022. Our only regret back then was that we were not staying longer. This time around we booked for a few days in the off-season (Feb. '23) just for a little get-away. I can't say enough about Mae's cottage. Everything was as spotless and inviting as shown on the listing and as on our first visit. Beautifully appointed throughout...fully equipped kitchen (LOVE the Haden tea kettle & toaster)...semi-circular driveway for easy in & out. The location is perfect for day trips. We drove/ferried over to the South Fork one day for a drive out to Montauk...ferry service is great!! Closer to home, there are many wineries that are open and feature live music on the weekends. Fun to wander around Greenport (many shops open) and Love Lane in Mattituck (check out the florist shop and meet Sassy the sweetest one-eyed cat ever...plus lots of great gifts/jewelry). Many very good restaurants (Founders Tavern and Sophies both in Southold) are open so no problem dining out (but call ahead to see if reservations are needed....despite it being winter, both places were busy.) I highly recommend Mae's cottage in and out of season. We even had the pleasure of a light snowfall this time which made for magical views of the pond behind the house. Watch for the two very large swans who rule the waters there. Many other waterfowl make for peaceful meditative views from the living room and primary bedroom (both have French doors). Hope to get back in the spring to see Mae's English cottage garden...'til then, will just hold onto the good memories.

We had a girls weekend and the cottage was a perfect, cozy place to stay. The views were beautiful to wake up to with swans & sunrise, perfect location to many wineries especially Sparkling Pointe, close to Green Pointe, too. Make sure to bring an extra blanket & garbage bags if your stay includes more than 4+. I would consider again for another weekend trip.

The house is very comfortable. Beautifully decorated with wonderful quality furnishings and linens , the view is amazing and the short walk to the beach was a bonus. We were close to wineries, breweries and small towns with shops and restaurants , we were out there for my husbands 60th birthday and our son and his fiancé came over on the ferry from Boston , the house was absolutely perfect and we had such a relaxing fun weekend, would highly recommend staying there.

My husband and 2 year old daughter stayed at the beach cottage this past weekend. It was unbelievable.
The house was incredibly clean - I appreciated this so much since we used the kitchen quite a bit to cook for our toddler.
The house is charming, the natural light is so relaxing and the decor just made you feel like you were on vacation. 5/5 for the house alone BUT...
The backyard?! UNBELIEVABLE! The sunrise and sunsets on the inlet, there are no words for how beautiful this was. The birds flying into the water was so exciting to watch. There is a hammock that fits 2 people that my husband and I used while our daughter napped. Being the parent of a toddler, I haven't felt this relaxed in a long time.
The house is a short walk to a town beach where we collected seashells and walked along the water. The location is just perfect.
Mae was a fantastic host and checked in to make sure we made it safely. Next NoFo trip, we would love to stay here again.

This was our second time staying at Mae's beautiful place, this time was even better, as we got to use her very nice kayaks for a lovely outing on Goldsmith's Pond. Gorgeous and peaceful - from our kayaks and from the pretty backyard deck we saw a bald eagle, osprey, cormorants, a great blue heron, swans, egrets and a kingfisher. Fabulous! It was just chilly enough to enjoy the fireplace in the evenings, and the 5 minute walk to the secluded beach provided some morning fishing fun as well. The house is charmingly outfitted, very comfortable and super clean. Mae was helpful and so nice to deal with - we can't wait to return!

The house is even prettier in person. Beautiful location on the inlet and close to many things. We had such a great weekend there for a group of women.

My wife and kids had such an awesome week at Mae’s Beach house cottage. The house was very well curated with local decor and amazing scents that really put you at ease and feels like a true escape from the city. We hope to be back next summer :) our favorite part was how close it is to goldsmiths inlet. I kayaked there a couple times into the sound. The kids loved going back for sunsets and walking on the rocks.

Mae's cottage is absolutely delightful! It is exactly as the photos show...pristine, charming, inviting, and beautifully & comfortably furnished. The grounds are tranquil with a pretty patio for outdoor dining and a hammock for dreaming. A really nice beach on the LI Sound is just down the road within walking distance. Location overall is super convenient for visiting Greenport, Orient, and Southold. We hope to return in the autumn...just a lovely place.

We had an incredible vacation at Mae’s beautiful home. Beautiful, cozy, well kept home on the water. A few minutes to the Sound by foot and close to great restaurants, vineyards, and brewery. Will definitely return, thank you!
