Upon arrival immediately noted that the cute house depicted on Vrbo site looked much different than the house in real life, the grass was way beyond needing mowing, with what looked like an abandoned pickup truck on side of the driveway and again, abandoned motorcycles and car tires in the back yard! Also needing mowing back there with the what I guess passed as a fire pit, actually just a few rocks placed in yard, was full of weeds! Entry information was incomplete to the point that text and phone calls were required to gain entry. First step into property immediately noticed musty or smokey or stale cleaning oder. The entire house was cooled by a very small window unit with no hope of cooling the bedrooms.
The property manager was as accommodating as possible and offered a discounted price, Gratefully my stay was only for one night!!

We had great time in CDA celerating my husband's 60th Birthday and riding the HIawattha Trail.
The home was clean and orderly when we arrived. The neighborhood was fairly nice and not far from the main part of town. Unfortunately for one of my daughter's, the hide a bed did not open and she had poor sleep and a back ache during our stay. We were going to start the dishwasher upon leaving and it would not start so we washed the dishes by hand. We later learned there is a way to get this the dishwasher to work, but weren't told. The coils on the electric stove were uneven, which made cooking pancakes a challange.
If the above items were corrected, it would be a much better stay.
Thank you1

Based on the photos & reviews, I expected more. We stayed for three nights and here's our experience:
Pros: Clean, yard for dog, good water pressure, carport with electricity, fairly comfortable bed, drivable distance to downtown, quiet neighborhood.
Cons: Note: broken dishwasher & garbage disposal (disclosed in listing). The microwave is barely functional and took forever to heat anything. Interior was very dark, not light & bright as pictured. It was quite warm during our visit. There is one window a/c in the dining room; it took a whole day for the a/c to finally cool the living area, but the cool air barely touched the bedroom, making for an uncomfortable nights sleep. It would have been nice to have the a/c turned on before our arrival as it took so long to finally cool the living area. The yard was in shabby condition: no flowers as pictured, a bag of someone's trash was in a plastic trash can on the back "patio," the lawn needed mowing and was more of a dried weed patch, not inviting us to hang in the backyard.
All in all, disappointed.

You can tell they have made an effort to make the place cute but they missed the important parts. Dishwasher doesn't work Big sign on it that says it doesn't work. Asked if they had air conditioning they said yes come to find out it's the smallest window unit made located in the kitchen and failed to even make the kitchen tolerable temperature. Most of the windows don't have screens so opening them was not an option only one fan available to move air and it was insufficient. Backyard was full of weeds and the patio was a major tripping hazard. But more important of all is the fact that somebody has been smoking in there and it reaked of smoke.

The property owner never made contact with us. We tried reaching out via multiple methods, with no success. My 10-year-old and I were left scrambling to find alternate lodging after driving 5 hours to get there. Do yourself a favor and ignore this listing.

My husband and I stayed here the night before our elopement at Fly the Coop. Linette’s place was perfect for us and our two GSP’s. There are a ton of amenities in case you forget anything. Both beds were super comfy and we all slept great. The neighborhood is quiet and located near the downtown area with access to all the essentials. Linette was very communicative and was very helpful! If you are looking for somewhere to stay with a homey feel I would recommend you check this one out.

It was perfect and God blessed us so amazingly. Wonderful quiet neighborhood within walking to delicious restaurants. Jimmy's down the street was perfect for breakfast, dinner at the Iron horse was yummy. Great time we had.

Stayed here for a quick visit to see some family on New Year's Eve. We had to travel with our dog, who sometimes doesn't deal well with new places and stress but the rental had a good back yard with room for him to stretch his legs. House had everything we needed for one night. Dishwasher was broken upon check in, which was a bit of an issue, but we washed dishes by hand and everything was supplied for us to be able to do so. Host had good communication.

Nice, comfortable property about 20 seconds off the freeway. Beds are a bit small, but not bad. Great for our dogs.

Great Location but needs new door lock
This was a great location however getting into the unit takes about 15 minutes because the digital door key pad does not work properly. It only shows part of the key pad and cuts out. If you are patient it eventually works, but it made getting in a gamble each time.

Great location
Cute and cozy place. Perfect location to shops and restaurants and just happened to be 5 minutes away from the golf course where we attended a wedding. Our dogs loved being able to run around in the backyard. Would definitely stay again.

Cute and cozy!
I came up to Coeur d'Alene to spend Christmas with friends and family, and rented this house for 10 nights. I used to live in Coeur d'Alene, so I wanted something downtown, close to the freeway, Sherman Ave. and all the fun things to do--the location did not disappoint.
I drove up from Boise the day after Christmas, and when I got to the house Linette had the driveway plowed, and it was decorated to the nines for Christmas with a full size tree, and all kinds of other fun things inside and out. Linette also had music playing and a scented candle burning--and after a 9 hour white knuckle drive through white out blizzards, it was just what I needed! My granddaughters spent several days there, and we had a proper Christmas, they loved it!
The only problem I had was the keyless entry, I think it was so cold when i was there it just wasn't functioning up to par, but I was able to call Linette and get right in! I highly recommend this cute little spot, it would be fun in the summer for sure, it has a nice backyard where my dog and the kiddos could play, and it was in walking distance to good restaurants, and we were able to see the fireworks on NYE :-)

Cute house in great neighborhood
We enjoyed staying at this rental in CDA. It was a very cute house with a great backyard that was fully fenced, perfect for our dogs. The owner takes pride in her yard, there were beautiful flowers in the front and back. The beds were comfortable and the ceiling fan in the bedroom was nice. There were plenty of extra towels and bottled water in the fridge. The couch had a smell of smoke so would recommend that it be cleaned or get a leather couch that is more durable long term for guests and dogs. The dining room table can seat 6 comfortably. The owner was still making improvements given it was a new listing so we didn’t have a door on our bedroom and knobs were missing on the oven but she was very responsive and was planning to install after our stay. The neighborhood was very cute and quiet and there were a few restaurants and a wine bar within walking distance. It was a quick drive to downtown as well. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and felt it was a great value. We look forward to coming back in the future.

It was an amazing girls weekend in CDA. This place is simply adorable! Felt like home - Everything was taken care of! The attention to detail was appreciated. It was a bit of a walk to downtown but the neighborhood was charming. Would stay here again !

Great Stay
My family and I are in the process of moving cross country and stayed at this property with our 2 dogs and towing a boat.
With the neighbor parked practically blocking the drive way, we had a difficult time trying to back the boat in and after several tries, we finally gave up and decided to park on the street. Thankfully a lady across the street told us it was ok to park where we were or we were welcome to park in front of her house, which made us much more comfortable.
Great house - clean and cared for. Although we only stayed a short time, we very much enjoyed our stay there!
