We were in town for a death in the family and needed a place for a large group of people to stay. The linens was a little short and the beds which was described as full beds were actually futons, but it was what we needed and was a last minute book

The property was just as described. Very clean. Conveniently located. Furnished well. We enjoyed our stay very much.

It worked out great. It allowed us to cook our own meals. We spent the days hiking and exploring the state park.

This location was owned by my husband’s uncle who had a store there when he was a child. What a surprise to realize after we made the reservation. We were in Mentone for a funeral and part of our family stayed with us. It worked well and there was room for others in the family to come by. There’s a need for more outlets. The housekeeper came by when we had a question about some things. She was most helpful.

The house sits no less than 10 feet off of a major thoroughfare so it is extremely noisy from trucks. In addition, every curtain (bedrooms appeared to be sheets) was sheer so morning sunlight was disruptive. Not a floor in the house was level. Living room sofa was dirty. The ice machine was frozen and inoperable so we had to go buy ice upon arrival. None of the bathrooms had a toilet paper holder. Tissue was sitting on window ledge or back of toilet. The master shower knob fell off each time you turned it on. There wasn’t a trash can in the house except kitchen. We have traveled extensively and enjoyed homes all over the world and this was the worst we’ve ever experienced. We cut our visit short by one day because it was such a disappointment.

The rental process was very easy and we were updated frequently. The house was clean but the back deck, patio, and patio table were dirty. For $160 cleaning fee I feel that could have been done. The location was very convenient to Mentone amenities but the house was on a very busy road. There was lots of traffic noise.
