About this house rental
Lazy River is a beautiful property enveloped by abundant natural beauty. On one side are the majestic hills of Wimberley on the other the sheer limestone cliffs and clear waters of the Blanco River. Within this spacious family centered home is a stunning recent remodel featuring three bedrooms and two baths. A generous kitchen with high-end appliances await anyone who loves to cook. The open floor plan and bar seating ensure anyone who loves to eat front row seating. The living room is awash in lounging options arranged around the wood burning fireplace. The dining area has a six seat dining table situated under the glow of candelabra light for the gourmands in your group. The bedrooms and laundry room can be found down the hallway behind a door that can be closed for maximum privacy. The first bedroom is meant to be shared consisting of a cozy queen size bed. It has lots of natural light and views of the outdoors. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and ample closet space with plenty of natural light and views of the outdoors. The master suite has a nice king size bed with an en suite bath with neat subway tile and river rock design features. It too has lots of natural light and views of the outdoors. The shared bath is located in the hallway that compliments the master bath with granite counter tops, subway tile in the shower and lots of natural light.
The outdoor entertaining space is what positively delights. The great screened in porch seats ten and looks out onto the rolling lawn and languid river. Great house, beautiful part of the river, relaxing weekend, would stay again!

We had a great time. Very relaxing and quiet. Water is low, we went to the Cypress Fall swimming hole. Had a great time.

Everything was as advertised and clean. Easy check in/check out process. Will stay again!

Great get away! This house was spacious and had everything we needed. We enjoyed watching the deer come up at night and the lightning bugs from the screened in porch!

This was our second summer at the Lazy River. We absolutely love the simple house and the river access! Such a hidden getaway but close and convenient to run into town. We basically lived on the screened in porch. However, the porch was filthy when we arrived. My husband and I swept and wiped layers of dirt and grime off the surfaces. It needs a good power wash and deep clean. That won’t deter us from staying here again but something to note.

This was a nice spot to get away and enjoy a girls’ weekend! The house was nice and located on the river. It was also close to town!

Great location, we loved the screen porch! That section of the river seems like it could potentially be dry, but thanks to the recent rain, we had several inches to put our chairs into and hang out. Bathrooms, kitchen and floors were all super clean but seemed like the window sills had been neglected. Overall though, a great house and we would stay there again!

Great home. Beautiful location. The only issue was that the kitchen counters were sticky and not well cleaned when we arrived and there were issues getting the TV to work. Other than that it was a wonderful home with a beautiful back porch right off the river

House very nice. Mostly updated- kitchen appliances and bathrooms. However the pillows in the bedrooms were very dirty and stained as well as the decorative pillows thought house.
We would stay here again if these items were taken care of.

We would definitely book here again. The house was great, incredibly comfortable, and in a great location. The river being in the backyard was perfect, and although the water level was pretty low, it was just right for our 4 year old. It was still flowing, and the temperature was really nice. 10/10 recommend.

TV was not working when we arrived, spectrum had to come in fix cable box next day
House needs to be cleaned throughly there was a lot of dust behind the TV and console area

My daughter is a student at Texas State and we rented the house for parents weekend. It was just a short drive to her dorm and nice to get out of the city and spend some family time with our daughter.
4.7
We loved the house. It is well maintained and comfortable. We will plan to stay there again in the future.

The house was perfect.
Was just disappointed in the river level. As we soon discovered, it was that way all over the Hill Country. Loved the wild life and had several “visitors” come up in the yard. Deer and a pair foxes, they were cute! (But I stayed inside the screen porch 😊)

Overall a good experience. Only complaint: never could get the TV to work (assuming that cable was an option), and were unable to get tech support.

Location is great but would of liked a heads up that there was no water running in the lake. Back porch was still full of cobwebs like last year when we came. Tv has to many remotes and no instructions

The hot water heater was going out and we had to take cold showers the first 2x days.

Wonderful house. Bedrooms were separate from the main living part, great open concept kitchen & living. Bedrooms had black out shades which were very helpful for my two small children. Our favorite part of the house was the screened in porch. We ate all of our meals outside & relaxed out there every evening watching deer & listening to the river. My only complaint was the porch could’ve used a deep clean prior to our arrival. My husband swept and wiped down the outdoor surfaces. Easy access to the river, nice backyard for playing & grilling. Such a beautiful part of Texas! We would love to go back and stay at the lazy river!

The yard was overgrown and grass needed mowing especially the path to the river. The back porch needed cleaning. There were no chairs in the bedrooms to sit and put on your shoes. There was no reading lamp in the living area. And last but not least there was no instructions for operating the TV, although there were 5 remotes . It took several phone calls to the management company to resolve the issue.

Highly recommend, the pictures don’t do the house justice!! The place is awesome and close to everything. Looking forward to returning!!

Thought the house was nice and generally clean. Only minor items: Bathroom exhaust ceiling vents need to be cleaned, some mineral buildup on shower heads. My daughter noticed that the bed sheeets had a stain on the first bedroom. She moved to the day bed and thought it was quite comfy.
We did notice a sulphur smell in the bathrooms. Not sure if that was the septic system or the water. Ran water for a little bit and it seemed to dissipate somewhat. Noticed it again on Sunday.
Wish we had spent more time enjoying the house and property, but with the visit to see son in San Marcos we spent time there and in wimberley square.
Also, did Wikberley zip lining which was close by.

The property was very clean. It was quaint and perfect for our family of 2 young children. The river was perfect, and was a nice relaxing weekend. I loved the location bc it’s secluded but close enough that town is a quick drive.

We celebrated a 50th birthday here and it was fantastic! Location to town, access to the River and the layout of the house was perfect. We'll be back!!

The house was perfect for my group of friends. The house was clean and comfortable. It was very hot weather so we didn't spend time on the big screened porch, but I did note that there were a lot of cobwebs, which means spiders. Housekeeping should give the porch some attention.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Property was awesome, friendly neighbors. Only disappointment was the water level in the river. Would definitely stay again.

Unfortunately the river was dry and two of our guests couldn't come due to Covid but we enjoyed our lodging. Open and roomy.

Nice But Needs Thorough Cleaning and Updates
The floor plan of the house was great and the house itself was nice. Dishes that we pulled out to use were sometimes dirty. The big screened in porch had not been swept and had dirt and cobwebs all over it. Some of the washcloths in master bath were very worn and rough. Overall the upkeep of the property could have been better. It was in a good location only a few minutes from downtown Wimberley.

We enjoyed a moms getaway weekend and had a blast at the lazy river property!
The house was spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds!
The walk down to the river was short and has a gravel path. It was the perfect spot to set up a tent and chairs and hang out in the river all day. Beware if you go in late summer that the water is not very deep. We only had about 6-8” of water, but it was flowing and not stagnant! It was just enough to put your feet in or sit in to cool off.
We would definitely stay here again!

House was very clean. Very pretty area and nice, quiet neighborhood. The neighbors along the river were very friendly. River Water is only few feet deep in front of house but very short walk to little deeper pockets. Kids had fun on their rafts riding the currents.

Great location
All was great except for the cleaning house needs a deep cleaning not just a wipe down the back porch was awesome except it was full of spider webs it could of been swept off & crumbs on window seeds inside. Kitchen could use better nonstick pans & refrigerator did not make ice & was making weird noise like it was about to break but besides that we enjoyed our stay.
