Everything was as listed.

The rental is one unit of a duplex in a historic home. The apartment has been nicely updated with new kitchen, central air, etc. The layout is perfect for families. It was easy to get into town and down to Millcreek for activities, and only 10 minutes from Presque Isle.
The downsides are that the neighborhood isn't great, the building shows its age and could use some attention, and the outdoor space is overgrown and not really useable.
Plus sides: The beds are comfortable. The master bedroom is a great size, with a separate sun room perfect for kids. The shower has terrific water pressure.

Cute historic house. Everything was provided. Only thing that bothered us is shower liner needs replaced, a good amount of mold on it.

The house was sufficiently clean so we did stay. The high use surfaces were wiped clean and we didn’t see any cobwebs as the previous visitors did. The outside of the building and the landscaping needs much improvement. Right outside the back door the area stays wet leading to swarms of mosquitoes.

We planned to stay a total of 3 nights and unfortunately due to uncleanliness and the place being unkept we left within an hour of arriving and drove back home. There was bugs and cobwebs in all corners of the house. Dirt on the stairs and paint chippings on a lot of the baseboards. My husband and i did not feel comfortable having our 15 month old walking around and or sleeping at this place. I will say the host was very nice and accommodating leading up to our stay , we had no issues there. This house was just not cleaned to our standards that made us feel okay staying there.

My friends were very disappointed in the condition of the house compared to the pictures posted on the site to rent it. The steps leading up to the house are dangerous as they are deteriorating severely. And the ramp was completely covered in weeds, unable to even be used. The furniture and table on the porches are filthy. And as you will see in the pictures porches are in desperate need of being cleaned. The grass is very high both front yard & back. No way of even enjoying what could be a beautiful backyard because the grass is so high. Upon entering the home, we found cobwebs in pretty much every corner & across door ways. I’d say the bare minimum of cleaning is what we found. And knowing there were 4 of us, there weren’t even enough towels & wash rags for 2 days with a total of 5 towels & 6 wash rags & no washing machine to even wash them so we had them to use. Yet we were told they were provided. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We should be refunded AT LEAST half of our fee if not all for the deceitful ad.

Neat little place, close to everything. There is a small issue of tiny ants in kitchen...Parked in driveway, but could have used the garage if we wanted. Neighborhood nice, all well kept homes. Very old house that makes it charming.

Overall a great time and place although waking up to ants eating our bagels wasn’t the best but no biggie.

Modern kitchen, spacious living room, quiet neighborhood, and very responsive host. The house is 15 minutes away from the waterfront.

This was an updated very old historic half of a house in Erie. It was relatively clean but some spots were not and it had a couple leaks in the ceiling/walls. The location was close to Erie beaches, Waldameer Park and the Erie Zoo, which was nice.

This property is convenient to so many things in Erie, PA. The property is just cool, an old fashioned feel with modern conveniences. I loved the style. The shower was excellent and easy to use, the gas stove was a dream to cook on, and there was plenty of space for my friend and I. Comfortable and nice! So glad we chose this property.

This a a beautiful old house. It was perfect for our family of 4. It was about 15 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from Seawolf stadium. Nice a quiet neighborhood.

We had a great experience staying here. The location was convenient and the neighborhood was quiet. It was on a busy street but you couldn’t tell once inside the residence. The house had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely consider staying here again next time we visit Erie.

This house so was cute and cozy to stay in, and the host was so kind during the check in process. It was pretty clean, although there was some dog hair, We have dogs at home so are used to it. The kitchen was decently stocked but could use a sharp knife and cookie sheet. The beds were comfortable and the pack and play was very convenient and appreciated, but would recommend bringing a sheet for it. The front room where the pack and play is was not equipped with black out blinds of any sort so we did pull it into the main bedroom. This house is close to all the main attractions and was in a quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you

Erie house
Great central location, great house, mostly clean, floors dirty, we vacuumed whole house ourselves except steps. Having a toddler clean floors are a must.

Okay for Families, Not for
I think this all comes down to what your needs are. This house might be a good layout for a small family, but it's not set up for multiple adults. One person in our party had to work and the only place for her to sit was at the kitchen table, which meant we couldn't be downstairs at all b/c it's an open plan. There is ample room outside, but limited furniture. The two queen beds are comfortable, but there's room for a King in the main bedroom. Additionally, there is an inexplicable pack-and-play taking up the entire front room upstairs that could easily be a workspace or even a single/day bed.
I think this is a newer set up, but a lot is missing from the kitchen as well. There isn't a dishwasher, which means you have to trust the people who stayed here before you to clean dishes properly (won't happen). Additionally, there isn't a single knife in the unit, nor any bakeware to use in the oven. We ended up going to our friends house to use their kitchen instead b/c we couldn't prep or cook here. The neighborhood is quiet and there is plenty of street parking, though there were a lot of fireworks the week we were there.

The property is awesome! We celebrated my granddaughter's 6th birthday in Erie Pa. so were there for the weekend. Everything about the property was wonderful. Warm and cozy inside plenty of hot water and clean as any clean freak could hope for. I highly recommend this property if you are visiting. Oh, and check in effortless!
