The house was very nice and comf9rtable and had most things needed for comfort and efficiency. What was not noted was the amoudlyt of noise from outside, the disturbance of the rural view by roads, and the gathering of a loud church gathering singing loudly for hours on a Sunday morning. Also access to the river on a weekend is difficult and very crowded.

Four friends stayed here and enjoyed the patio overlooking the river. Was great for cooking---new can opener needed though :) 5 minute walk to Bartlett's grocery and nearby tennis courts. Really enjoyed the space.

Stayed during a heat wave, but was cool in this home even without air conditioning. Great view of the river and Monte Rio beach is less than a half mile. Grocery store is near beach, so very convenient. Home was super comfortable and lots of room for a 2 bedroom home. I would stay again.

The house was very nice and clean. The view was very nice.
My greatest concerns came about up on arrival. First, there is no mention of the extremely narrow street and no dedicated parking. My son drives a large diesel truck that had to be parked far away. They have a 4 month old that had to be walked in the rain.
Secondly, the steps were mentioned on the booking site but the steepness was not mentioned. I have very painful knees and walking up and down these stairs was painful and dangerous.

Our stay was disappointing. We had come to the Russian River to celebrate my birthday. We soon discovered upon arrival that we were not alone. What we thought was a private home actually had a tenant living downstairs and another tenant in the guest house. We could hear the downstairs tenant talking, coughing, singing, playing music and showering. I'm sure she could hear us as well. From the guest house, we could hear music, could smell and feel the hot air from the clothes dryer vent in the courtyard when it was being used. The shutters to the guest house would be open and closed at various times and the tenant downstairs told us that someone was living there. There was a sign in the house asking us to observe a quiet time from 10pm to 9am so as not to disturb the downstairs tenants. I could find nothing in the online description for this house that included information about a tenant downstairs or an occupant in the guest house. There was a license posted at the front door of the house stating that this property should only have 1 tenant. Renting this home for 3 nights was not a small investment and our expectation was that it would be private. I think we were sold something that was misrepresented.

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at this wonderful home. The house is tastefully furnished with everything we needed, to include a full kitchen, for a quiet getaway. We especially enjoyed the close proximity to Armstrong Redwoods State Park and downtown Guerneville, which was less than five miles away. Also, there is a free EV charging station less than 4 1/2 miles away from the home.

A wonderful, spacious house with a great kitchen for us to cook meals in. Many thoughtful touches and you can tell that the hosts have made a lot of effort to meet all the needs of guests. Jeannie was communicative and friendly. A great house for a little getaway.

Very comfortable nice home in Monte Rio overlooking the river. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed our mini-vacation at the Russian River Area. The kitchen was well equipped, so was the rest of the house. The owner was very helpful. Will definitely try to stay here again.

We were celebrating our 40th anniversary and had a wonderful time staying here. I don't think the pictures really do it justice. We spent most of our time outside on the large deck in the lounges watchiing bats, satellites, the space station and numerous perseid meteors. And of course the Redwoods! The inside is very nicely decorated, comfy/cozy! Some previous comments mention the stairs....I think they must have been fixed as I didn't find them rickety at all. And prior comments about ice.....there is now a separate freezer with ice which we really appreciated. We golfed 2 days at the beautiful Northwoods golf course. The restaurant there is quite good too. NOTE - It seems many many places are closed on Monday and/or Tuesday. Eating is rather hard to find. We Will stay here again, maybe sooner than we thought when we first rented. But we would so it Wednesday and on. It was very nice!

This nicely laid-out house has the BEST views. Just stand on the wide balcony , and you see the mighty RRiver: WOW! House provides full amenities (though I miss the washer/dryer.... just bring more change of clothes). There's a Zen-like garden in front of house too with a pleasingly soothing pond. Loved our stay.

We enjoyed our stay and will stay again in the summer if available. The house was clean and spacious, especially the large and well equipped kitchen.
Large deck over looking river and bridge.
A few minor things; The stairs to get down to home were a bit wobbly near the top and once inside the gate your standing on a stair to close it not a landing.
Street is very narrow and parking was a challenge.

We really enjoyed the peaceful surrounding and deck views.

Nice deck with views. It was a fun experiment to use the smoker/grill. Kitchen well stocked. Owner responded quickly when asked about borrowing beach chairs and towels.
No designated parking on a very narrow curvy road.
Entry stairs can be treacherous.
No ice.
Bed pillows were yellow with sweat and age.
Furniture is tired.

Fantastic Place
We really enjoyed our stay. The facilities were true to the website pics and description, clean and charming. The view from the deck of the river was fantastic. We ran into the owner who even gave us some fresh salmon just caught that day!

Monte Rio peace
Our stay in Monte Rio with beautiful views from the deck was heavenly. The garden and pond was serene and brought a sense of zen and calm. The interior of the home was comfy and clean. In the mornings we freshly ground our coffee beans and brewed our cup of joes. Then sit on the deck overlooking the river and listening to birds chirping. If you want a relaxing stay to read a book, walk into town without TV then this is a place for you
