Known for its long sandy beaches makes Carbon perfect for long walks on the beach, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, and sunbathing. You will be steps away from Nobu, the SoHo House, and seconds away from the sand. You can walk to Surfrider beach or the Malibu Pier from the beach access onsite, or you can walk a little further to the Country Mart for the best restaurants and shops in Malibu. There are always new shops opening nearly every day.
Getting Around:
Malibu Sand is located in the heart of Malibu within walking distance to the Malibu Pier and just steps away from Malibu's most iconic beach, Carbon Beach. The Malibu Country Mart is approx. 1.2 miles and is reachable by foot or car. We offer car rental services to its guests. Uber is readily available during peak season.

A guest is anyone who will spend any amount of time at the property. Our strict guest policy ensures neighborhood peace and legal compliance. Exceeding capacity risks our permit, we may ask you to leave.
2) No pets allowed except for service animals as required by law.
3) No smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes, or similar (outside and indoors). Our state-of-the-art smoke detectors notify the fire department - $500 fee for false alarms or rule violations. City Code Section 41.50 B 18 b | High Brush Fire Zone | Prevent Wildfires | It’s the LAW. We are in a high brush fire zone. In effort to prevent wildfires the state can turn utilities on and off intermittently. Stay Awhile will not offer any refunds in this case.
4) Do not send mail to property before or after your reservation dates. If needed, send it to our office; we'll deliver to the property on your arrival day. We're not responsible for lost mail.
5) Quiet hours: 10:00pm to 8:00am to ensure peaceful atmosphere for all guests and neighbors. Property is located on Pacific Coast Highway. Guests are subject to hearing potential road noise and/or waves crashing.
7) Day of Arrival:
Let us know if you prefer self-check-in or a personal tour. Only the guest who booked can check in and must show their ID for security.
8) Check-In: We have a check-in window from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Early check-in is based upon availability and will need to be approved by our team. Please keep this in mind as the day of your arrival approaches. If you are arriving later than 6pm, please reach out to our team for approval.
Check Out: 10:00am. Late checkout is based upon availability and needs to be approved in advance. Our late check-out fee is $100 for every hour after 10:00am. Additionally, if you want to check-out after 12:00 pm, then you will need to pay a fee equal to one full day. Please keep this in mind as the day of your departure approaches.
9) When you are departing the property, please make sure that you do not leave anything behind. Our team is not responsible for Lost or Stolen Items. If our team finds a lost item, we will ship it back to the guest. The guest will be responsible for paying the shipping cost plus a $50 service fee.
10) Pre-Stocking: Choose from our available pre-stocking options with at least one week's notice. A $75 service fee applies to all requests.
11) Hot tub: Never leave children unsupervised; no lifeguard on duty. No glassware; $1000 fee if glass is found. Use provided plasticware for safety. If kitchen lacks plasticware, please inform us. Please don't dispose of plasticware; wash and store them. If the hot-tub does not work well we will not offer a refund of more than $150 per day.
12) Parking:
You will have two dedicated parking spots reserved for you within the first garage port. If you have any other vehicles, then you will need to park them either on PCH or in the overflow parking lot above the complex that has D’amores pizza and PC Greens. So, these are the only three places that you can park: (1) dedicated parking in the first garage port closest to the gate, (2) PCH, and (3) overflow parking.
Cleanliness:
We take our cleaning seriously. You can trust that our homes are thoroughly deep cleaned between guest visits. All of our homes have white hotel-style linens, white towels, toiletries for our guests, and well stocked kitchens with high-end appliances. Amid COVID-19, our cleaning intensified: surfaces wiped with hot water and disinfectants. All towels and linens washed, regardless of appearance; many hotels don't. Door handles and high-touch spots get extra care. Staff wears masks, gloves, and shoe coverings. Our exceptional cleaning surpasses CDC standards.

My family and I enjoyed our stay here so much! The home is beautiful, there was plenty of room for our family of 7. Soaking in the hot tub on the second level watching the ocean was my favorite part. Oh, and you're close enough to Nobu to walk. ;) Highly recommend!!

This house is truly amazing. Terrific views, amazing location, great in house technology and everything you need for your stay. It was myself my wife and three kids, 20, 17 and 15. Had a chef come in one night to cook us dinner in the amazing kitchen and enjoyed the night. We were only there four nights, wished it was more. Location is awesome, grocery store 6 minutes away, Zuma beach 15, Malibu Pier walking distance, Santa Monica Shopping and Pier 15-20 w no traffic and many great restaurants within 5-10 minutes. Garage parking off the PCH was sweet. Property manager Jackie was awesome and extremely attentive to any need we had. Check in and house tour when we arrived was great, she was there to meet us when we pulled up. Thank You, Great House!

We have 3 kids under 5 so a house on a holiday is important to us - we don’t get to leave it much!
This house is everything in the pictures and more. The living space is exceptionally large and has the most amazing views. The location is second to none. The pool was fastastic - right overlooking the beach - amazing!
We were very happy, would highly recommend and would definitely come back.
