About this house rental
The River Run Townhome by Mountain Vacation Lodging is a larger than average 3-Bedroom that backs right up to the Blue River. In the fall of 2021, it was refurnished and filled with brand new items, from the mattresses & furniture to the linens and decor. The heated garage has been converted into a heated game room and gear storage area. The property offers a lot of square footage, 4 bathrooms, good separation of spaces, & beautiful views. It also has a very convenient location, directly on the bike path and the Summit Stage free bus line, with service to shopping, dining, and of course, all of the area's ski resorts! This townhome is relatively new construction, so the ceilings are high, the rooms are large, and the finishes are of consistently good to high quality. Combine that with the new furnishings, and you have a really nice, spacious, comfortable place to call home during your vacation. Please read on for more details.
The Property:
There are 3 levels of living space, allowing your group to spread out when you like. The main living area is on the middle level. It has an open concept layout which allows even the largest groups to gather together and enjoy each other's company. The kitchen is fully equipped and big enough for multiple chefs to share. The kitchen bar is a great place to serve up breakfast or appetizers. It features lots of space on the granite slab counters, ample cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, a fridge with filtered water and ice, plus little extras, such as the spices. The adjacent living room has a very comfy leather furniture set that includes a sleeper sofa, loveseat, and armchair, all focused around the massive HDTV and warm gas fireplace. This level does include a full bathroom, perfect for groups who plan to make use of that sleeper sofa. The formal dining table seats 6 comfortably, and doubles as a game table for those who like to play cards or board games. Finally, this level includes two outdoor spaces. You'll have a front balcony off the dining area with views of the 13,000 + foot peaks in the Eagle's Nest Wilderness. The back deck is large and partially covered, with outdoor furniture, a gas grill. From here, you'll enjoy the peaceful sounds and views of the Blue River. Keep an eye out for eagles, osprey, or maybe even a moose!
The upper level has the best views, and includes bedrooms 1 and 2. Both bedrooms include a private bathroom, a large HDTV, and a walk in closet. Bedroom 1 has a King bed, a reading chair, and views of the Blue River. Bedroom 2 has a Split King bed, a reading chair, and views of the Eagle's Nest Wilderness. The split King means that the bed can be set up as 2 extra long Twins or as a regular King bed. The owners have supplied beautiful plush bedding sets for it to be set up as a King or as 2 extra long Twins. Just let us know your preference when you book, so that we can advise housekeeping to set it up the way that works for your group. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are both large enough for couples who have babies - plenty of floor space for a pac n play. On this upper level, in between the 2 bedrooms, you have a landing area with laundry - a full size washer and dryer.
The ground level includes bedroom 3, another bathroom, the back patio, and a 2 car garage that has been converted into a game room, mud room, and gear storage area that includes ski and board racks as well as boot and glove dryers! This game room and secondary living space is a great place for kids or adults alike to recreate before or after your day out and about. It becomes an even bigger bonus space on those "days off," when you aren't planning to ski, hike, bike or otherwise enjoy the outdoors. If it's rainy, or if you just don't feel like venturing out, having that game room is huge! Bedroom 3 is the third suite with its own private bathroom. It features another Split King bed that can be set up as a King or 2 Twins, as well as a large HDTV, and reading chair. It also has a desk for those who need to get some work, or homework, done. This bedroom is a very private area, with the game room acting as a buffer in between the entry area and the bedroom. Finally, bedroom 3 has direct access to the back patio and yard. The back patio is also where you will find the private hot tub.
Location:
This townhome has one of the best locations within the development, and the development's location is pretty great on its own. Many of the townhomes in River Run feel surrounded by other townhomes. Not this one! When you stay here, you might have neighbors on one side or another, but with the Blue River literally in your backyard, this townhome feels, and sounds, like a riverside retreat in the mountains. When you walk out the back door, not only do you have the Blue River, but you will also find a sidewalk that connects directly to the Blue River Trail and the Silverthorne Bike Path. Follow it upstream along the Blue River and eventually it leads all the way to the Silverthorne Outlets, the Lake Dillon reservoir, and beyond. Head out the front door, then to the right on Legend Lake Circle and you'll find another sidewalk trail that follows the Blue River downstream past Legend Lake and on to North Pond Park, which is pictured in this listing.
Not only is this location really great for walking, strolling, or biking in spring, summer, and fall, but it has great transit year round. The Summit Stage free bus picks up and drops off about 100 meters from your front door at the Blue River Run stop. The Summit Stage allows you to ride the free bus from this property to various parts of Silverthorne, Dillon, Frisco, and to the ski resorts of Breckenridge, Keystone, or Copper Mountain. Of course, driving from here to any of these places is quick and easy as well.
Arrival, Access, and Parking:
Once you book, we're here to support you. We offer professional concierge services, provide you with arrival instructions, and answers to any specific questions you might have. Accessing this property requires one step, to enter from the front door or garage. Bedroom 3 is ground level with no step required from the garage, but the main living level is one floor up and bedrooms 1 and 2 are upstairs from there. Parking is reserved and guaranteed for at least 2 vehicles. The garage has been converted to a game room and mud room / equipment storage room, so it is not available for parking. You can bring skis, boards, bikes and such into the garage, but you'll park your cars immediately in front of the 2 car garage. The development does have additional overflow parking spaces that are shared, including several spaces right out front and several spaces right next to the building. Please note, trailers are not allowed, per HOA guidelines. If you plan to have a trailer, you will need to make arrangements to store it offsite. Please contact us with questions or resources related to offsite parking options.

** Disclosures/Disclaimers:
** Rental Agreements, Security Deposits, Rental Requirements - All hotels and rental properties have some rules and are subject to some amount of laws or regulations. Please look for and review any Rental Agreement terms, House Rules, and or Terms and Conditions presented during the online booking process. After booking, a Vacation Rental Agreement will be provided. All guests are required to sign the agreement within 72 hours of booking, and prior to occupying the property. There may be other requirements. For example, Guests may be required to provide additional information about the group that will occupy the property and or identification documents. Background checks may be performed, and in some areas are required by local law. Guests may be required to provide a credit card and or a refundable security/damage deposit. We will be in touch after you book to gather additional information and to email you the rental agreement, which you can sign electronically - no printer required. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us before booking.
** Amenities - Some private or shared amenities may not be available for guest use during certain periods. Some amenities, when part of a property, may close daily, seasonally, or for maintenance. As such, all amenities can not be guaranteed to be available at all times. Please advise us when or before booking if you have questions about a specific property amenity so that we can give you the most accurate information possible for your dates.
** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit. Please let us know if you have any concerns.
** Cleaning Fees & Lengthy Rental Periods - The standard cleaning fee quoted as part of any booking is for the final cleaning, which is to be performed after the rental period has ended. For guests who are booking a lengthy stay of more than one week, a mid stay-cleaning fee equal to the final cleaning fee may apply for the second week, third week, and so on. If you are booking for a lengthy stay, please contact us before booking online to discuss your group, your dates, the rates, the cleaning schedule, etc.

LOVED this place. Would highly recommend. There was enough room for everyone. The kitchen was stocked with spices for cooking and coffee to enjoy in the morning. Kids loved the place . Gameroom downstairs entertained my family in the evening after we came home from our hiking trips. We will DEFINITELY be coming back .

I've been to Colorado many times and was bothered when sleeping in higher elevations, so we decided on Silverthorne which was a bit lower on the mountain, and had no shortness of breath. This location was perfect for driving to Vail, Beavercreek, and Breckenridge. Also, for breweries and shopping. The condo was great. The four bathrooms, each with its own shower, was perfect for four adult men on an annual ski trip. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. Also, the floor plan of the unit was nice. The kitchen is separated from the living room by base cabinets with a counter so we could all watch the game and socialize while cooking dinner and enjoying post-skiing happy hour. Would stay again.

Beautiful view ! Kitchen is well stocked with the essentials. Easy to cook.
Beds are very comfortable! Clean!!
Location is A PLUS. (Targets down the street).
We skied at Breck , VAIL and Beavercreek. Quick drives to each place.
We just LOVED staying there. We will return.

The stay went well and everything that was publicized was accurate. I would however suggest a few things:
1-the heating system is very confusing and we were able to set temperatures consistently. Either too hot or too cold. The thermostats seem non functional.
2-the knifes are dull and could use some sharpening or better knives.

Extremely clean, beautiful location and quick response to questions from the property manager. Highly recommend!

This was a great location for our multi-generational family with the stream and the recpath out back, convenient to town and I-70. This wonderfully outfitted unit met our family's needs great -- the bedrooms, the kitchen, etc. The kids enjoyed the game room. The adults spent quiet evenings enjoying the Summer dusk on the deck. Would definitely return if we ever have a chance!

As someone who likes to cook, I loved the wonderful assortment of pots, pans, cooking utensils, and SPICES! I also loved the 'starter' hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, and toilet paper. The home is beautiful and clean. The humidifiers in each bedroom were wonderful. The home is conveniently located near Breckenridge, Vail, and Keystone ski resorts. I highly recommend this home.

The house was great! We wished we could live there full-time. Great views of the mountains and close to good restaurants.
There's a great walking and biking trail right behind the property that we enjoyed strolling on every morning.
We didn't have a group of adults this time, but we thought this place would be perfect for a group of couples. Each would have their own private bathroom and there's plenty of space to spread out.

Overall our stay was good and we’re happy with our experience.
Pros:
- Convenient location to all ski mountains off I-70
- Silverthorne is a nice little town that has things nearby for shopping and dining
- Comfortable beds
- Humidifiers in rooms are great for winter
- Fireplace in living room
- Hot tub after a ski day
- Every bedroom has own ensuite bathroom
- Ceiling fans
- Stocked kitchen dishes and cookware
Cons:
- Master shower was clogged on first use and we had to use draino
- Shower curtains in both upstairs baths were both gross
- Dirty towel from previous guest was left in upstairs bathroom (makes you question overall cleanliness)
- Coffee maker leaks grinds no matter how full/ empty you make the pot

Three of us stayed at this property and I’m glad we did. The pictures don’t do the home justice, it is better in person! Very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the storage for ski equipment in the garage was very convenient, and the location in relation to nearby ski resorts couldn’t be better. I’d stay here again and recommend others do the same.

Everything about the condo work great for sking Breckenridge and keystone. The only negative is the pillows on the beds are way to thick we all had neck aches.

We just loved our stay at this property. It was perfect for us, a great location, it was very clean and nicely decorated. It felt like home while we were there. The drive to anywhere is convenient which we really appreciated. One thing, if you have bad knees there are a lot of stairs which could be a challenge for some but we loved our stay and hope to stay again in the future. Thank you again to the owners for allowing us to stay! We are grateful and just really enjoyed it so very much.

House is pristine and has space for your group to get together or to spread out. We enjoyed the walkway along the Blue River right outside our back deck. The bikers in our group loved the extensive Summit County Rec Path that we were adjacent to. The only thing I would have liked the property to add is more wash cloths, as only two per bathroom for a week mean doing more laundry than I like when on vacation.

We loved walking down the trail to restaurants and stores along the river. We'll be back!

Amazing stay!
This was probably the best VRBO we have stayed in to date. The online description is very accurate as are the photos. Completely stocked with everything, even enough everyday items to save a trip to the store. Good location, right in the back of the complex and on the walking path. Minor suggestion would be to have some kind of seating for the front balcony so the beautiful sunsets can be viewed. We would definitely stay here again!

High quality, comfortable, convenient, excellent
Our stay at this vacation rental home was excellent! 5 stars! I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a ski-week vacation in the Summit County area for a family like ours. We were four adults (parents and grandparents) and three boys (two young teens and a 5-year-old). It is a town house in a private, quiet neighborhood with beautiful views located 1 mile from center Silverthorne. There are fulltime residents in several four-unit buildings who have a HOA. They are vigilant and take care of their neighborhood. They are friendly and helpful. The house is relatively new (or newly remodeled), clean, neat, nicely organized, in good working order and comfortable. The house-book was well organized and informative. A first aid kit and appliance manual are available. The living area is the 2nd floor. Pull out sofa beds are there too. The kitchen, particularly, has quality appliances, well stocked with the utensils, cookware, glasses, mugs, etc., a good coffee maker and toaster oven (very important!). The master and 2nd bedrooms on the third floor are appropriately sized, each with a nice bathroom and comfortable king-sized beds. Closets and drawers are spacious. The laundry is there too. Interestingly, you access the third bedroom from the garage on the ground floor—the teens enjoyed that—through which you pass to access the hot tub. The heated garage is fitted as a game-room, not for cars, and nicely serves as a staging area for storing and gathering your ski stuff, keeping it out of the living areas. Just open the garage door and get it in the car. The art decor was interesting too. A nice touch! The place just felt high quality!! Mountain Vacation Lodging which manages the home was responsive and helpful with our questions and requests. For example, although the hot tub is maintained weekly, after a few uses, the water was low enough that the jets were exposed which then spewed water out of the tub. We reported this to MVL. It was fixed while we skied the next day and with fresh water. Very pleased!

Perfectly wonderful!!
Friends all met to play pond hockey at Lake Dillon and my niece brought her we ones. The home was fantastically stocked, very clean and very well maintained. Located in a cool area that is next to a wonderful walking path to stores and food. A wonderful weekend was had by all. Also, the game room in the garage has inspired me to create one at home. Thank you!!!

Silverthorne Stay
Wonderful home! We really appreciated how well equipped the unit was, from the hot tub, gas grill, activity room, ski storage, humidifiers, extra blankets, and the basics of laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, spices, and every kitchen utensil and appliances needed. Nothing was forgotten! This certainly made us feel that we were at our home away from home.

Silverthorne house
House was nice and location was good. However we lost power at 4:55 pm 12/30/21 we had no flashlights or matches in the house I contacted the property company immediately and got their answering service. I was told that someone would bring us flashlight I never heard back from them until 8 am the following day. One of the reasons we chose this property was because we thought the management company was available to help us with issues. This was a big disappointment
I would consider renting the house again but not if they are using the same management company

Great Rental Property
The property was excellent! It was within easy driving distance to multiple ski resorts. The property was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed for our trip. The property management was also very quick to respond to anything we needed during our stay. The glove and boot driers were a nice extra touch. Highly recommend this property!
