I never write reviews but after messaging the host after leaving the property 1 day early due to all the issues and host not responding to me, I decided to write this review.
We chose this home based on the previous reviews. However, I am not sure what has happened since I had booked this property. I almost feel that no one has gone by to check on the property. We rented it for 4 nights.
We checked in at 10 pm to find there was no bath soap and had to run out and get it. I have never stayed at a Vrbo that did not have bath soap. Then we found that one bathroom had plumbing problems and the house was also dirty and had an awful musty smell. We were exhausted from starting move-in all day for 2 kids and when I contacted the host, he responded that he didn't know what I was complaining about. It was really rude. Next morning he told me a plumber would be coming by to check plumbing issue.
We encountered so many issues at this home. These are just some I messaged the host about yesterday, after checking out a day early and got no response. I also included pics to show him the issues. I would have appreciated knowing this as I would have never rented the home. The home smells musty, the a/c is so old and makes so much noise, the nest raises the temp to 79 in the middle of the night, we killed 3 roaches and there were more, tons of dead bugs, walls were dirty, dining table had stained placemats and chairs, filthy appliances. I do not recommend this home.

Our group was in town for an extended work trip and had a wonderful stay! The house had everything we needed and was a quiet place to relax after a long work day. We would definitely stay here again.

Love the location, size, cleanliness. Having a clean home is extremely important to us and this property delivers. This is the second time we stayed for a business trip to Gainesville. Will stay again, if available

Perfect location for our daughter’s graduation. Beautiful, clean and spacious home. I will definitely recommend to future grads families!

Size of house and location was great. Not sure when the house was checked before we got in but there was some burrrowing creature in the vault ceiling dropping wood chips on the family room couch. Also had a hard time talking with someone about checkout.

It was like stepping into an Island Resort - very comfortable, quiet and conveniently located. Our Family of six really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend all to “Check-IN”
However, discovering severely stained bed sheets at bedtime and mattress covers when we pulled off the sheets was discustingly Gross! Our rating for cleanliness would have been a 5 if not for this!

Very nice place. Close to UF. Very clean. Kitchen newly renovated but was very sparsely equipped (eg no wine glasses, minimal pots and utensils). Nice touches such as snack basket in kitchen, toothbrushes and shampoo/conditioner/soaps in bathroom.

Wonderful place to stay. Clean, comfortable, roomy and lots of parking. Property manager was readily available for any questions we had. Lots of extras, snack basket, soap, tooth brushes, complimentary shampoo, etc. Nice TVs in living room and bedrooms.

The newly renovated home was beautiful. Clean, lots of open space and plenty of room to sleep 8 or more. The kitchen could have been equipped better with some of the basic cooking necessities but contained all the major and even small appliances. Great location to UF, supermarket, and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

What a great house for a big family to stay in for our son's UF graduation! Minutes from campus, quiet neighborhood, updated, clean, and plenty of extras like toiletries and snacks! House manager was easy to get in touch with and resolved questions quickly! Would definitely stay there again!

Rented the property for my class reunion from UF and also with friends for a Gator game weekend. Home was comfortable, clean, and well stocked with supplies. We had a great time staying at the home. Would recommend.

UF is a short walk away, Publix is close. Nice grass yard for pups — not fenced in, though, so bring your leash. We’d stay here again.

Cleanliness, smelled good, had all the needed amenities, cozy. Close proximity to restaurants, events and shopping.

The house was as advertised including clean and updated. The common areas were comfortable and the location near UF campus was big plus too. Would stay there again.

Very clean and wonderful updates. I would agree the motion sensing lights switches are a bit too much...especially at night when utilizing bathroom and light turns on to awaken spouse in same room.
Washer and dryer a BIG plus and the televisions are great in the bedrooms to keep kids bust prior to bed.

Overall very comfortable property. Property manager was great and helped make sure I was comfortable during my stay. Very responsive and accommodating. Neighborhood was beautiful and close to everything.

We were coming from GA for a graduation gathering. Three family members live in this neighborhood so this house was a great fit for us. We loved being able to walk to their homes and having our own space to come back to at the end of the day.
House was very clean. Well supplied with cleaning products.
Owner had linens, soap, snacks, water and even extra toothbrushes at the house for all guest.
We would rent this home again!

We stayed in the house for a girls “springs” trip and it was perfect. We were just a short drive away from many springs and coming back to Gainesville for the evenings was perfect. Thank you to the host, Kevin, for providing everything we needed in the home. We enjoyed the yard, the large rooms and big TV.

This listing was PERFECT for our team. very roomy and we’ll keep. We had extend our stay and had no problem with getting it approved. Great hot and house. We’ll book again. Plus the boys love the strawberry rice crispy treats.

We recently stayed in Gainesville for my daughter's graduation from UF medical school. There were 7 family members who stayed at the house. The house is big enough so that we (couples) all had separate bedrooms. There was a large common area for us to socialize yet enough room in the bedrooms for quiet time. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet and it is convenient to the UF campus. We enjoyed our stay and if we are ever back in Gainesville we would love to stay at this house.

Just as described in online listing. We enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here last year and it was great… so chose it again. Beds are comfy- just wish there was a little extra seating in the large family room.
5.0
We enjoyed the property very much. Great location. The house was very clean and updated. It was the perfect size in square footage. That being said, additional seating would have been most helpful for our group. We brought additional coffee cups, utensils and folding chairs based on prior reviews.

This worked well for our group

This house was comfortable for the 7 of us. The layout is open and we all had room to sit together and cook. We moved the futons from the bedrooms to the living room for seating. It was close to grocery stores and restaurants and the University. Would stay here again! The code was incorrectly entered to the keypad but once we contacted the contact person it was quickly corrected.

Our son was married this past weekend so the out of town family was able to stay together in this house for the weekend. It met our needs extremely well-the beds were very comfortable, we did not use the kitchen too much but it served us well when we did and the location was very convenient to our son's house, the wedding venue and restaurants.
4.0
Overall we were happy with our stay. The house was as described in the listing and in good condition. The floors/rug could have been a little cleaner and there was 1 dead cockroach in the kitchen, but hey, it’s Florida and it being dead was a good sign that they might have a pest service. I appreciated there being some water bottles and k-cups there, as well as some toiletries in each bathroom.
The kitchen was stocked with the basics but there were only 4 mugs (might be a problem if we had 10 adults staying there), and it’s always nice when there are some basic spices (at least salt and pepper), and scissors would be helpful since we don’t typically travel with those lol.
There were also only 6 bath towels, which wasn’t enough for our 2 families and we had to do a Target run. But the appliances were good and it was helpful that detergent was available for the washer/dryer!
As others have mentioned, a lot of the inside lights are motion sensors which wouldn’t have been a problem if our kids weren’t trying to sleep and the hall/entry light kept flashing on and off and shining through the doorway. We didn’t find a way to override it, maybe bring something to cover the sensor if it’ll be a problem for your group.
It would also benefit from more than one couch and a dining table that seats more than 6. In my opinion, if the house sleeps 10 then there should be a please for 10 people to eat (at least chair wise) and more than 1 couch in the family room area.
The location was great and easy to check in/out with keyless door codes. We went to Gilchrist Blue Springs and did some Gainesville attractions. I’m not sure if we’d stay there again but it did work well enough for this trip.

UF Grad
My son graduated UF and it was the perfect stay for 8 people and close location. House was very clean and tidy.
My only small suggestions for improvements: more china place settings for the kitchen, larger sofa ( maybe L-shape) for living room and mirrors throughout the house. We all needed to get ready for graduation and there weren’t enough mirrors to see ourselves dressed. But, the house was very nice.

Enough room for a group of 9, and ample bathrooms, which was a plus!
Perfect place for family to stay while in town for our son's wedding. Immaculate. I only gave it 4 stars for cleanliness because cleaning products used were the ultra toxic variety. After opening all windows and doors for a bit, it was better. Very popular cleaning products, but EWG .org would not approve. Other than that, great place!
5.0
Double family Florida visit.
So the only reason that I gave the listing a 4 star for accuracy of online listing was that I thought they did not state enough about how good this place was. It had a great washer and dryer, a good set of appliances, they left bottled water for us in the fridge, coffee with cream and sugar on the counter, every sink had ample hand soap and cute little bags of shampoo and conditioner, ample towels in each bathroom, a nice dining table, and tons of room in each bedroom so that we could have thrown air up mattresses down for the kids. The only draw back was we wished there was more seating room in the living area to visit around in. We saw one ant on the entire place (a previous review had complained about ants so we were on the look out), and we were entirely impressed with the cleanliness of the entire property and the ample trash space with replacements trash bags as there was 9 of us staying and teenage girls can create a bit of a mess. The chargers in every room were a great bonus to our technology reliant bunch, and the back patio was a nice space as well. The only other draw back was that many of the lights are on motion sensors only. Most of the bathrooms had enough room that they would stay on, but one bathroom's shower was not in the motion sensor path and shut off multiple times on the unwary bathee (which was quite funny to our group) and required stepping out of the shower to trip the sensor multiple times. The location to the college was superb, in which we had no business there, but was still an excellent location as we wanted to see both gulf and atlantic coasts and this was almost exactly halfway between both. Overall, we would recommend this property to anyone and would consider it again if we ever have business in the area in the future! -- The Smith side of the group.

Great location, spacious property
This house is in a great location, walking distance from campus and stadium. The home is very spacious, 2 master style bedrooms, and two medium size rooms that share a bathroom.
The deck and yard were a plus, plenty of room to hang out and play yard games.
The house could use a little more furniture in the living room, for the size of the house. It only has one couch. Maybe a love seat and a chair would make it more accommodating.
We will book again.

Really nice home. very clean and well kept
we really enjoyed our stay. The team liked the house and it was perfectly laid out for our needs. Another chair in the living room and a few extra blankets were the only wishes we had. The owner was so responsive and answered every question. Great experience!
