The house was perfectly situated to walk to the beach, to the grocery store and lovely shops. The house was clean and quiet with a great back yard space to relax, be with the birds and trees. As this was our second stay at this house, I would definitely return and recommend this VRBO property!

We were able to experience a week in Glen Arbor with our family and we loved every minute of staying at Manitou Porches. Perfectly placed with a short walk to the beach as well as to stores, food and other delights. This cottage is beautiful inside and out. We were able to see a doe and fawn in the backyard on the final morning as a bonus. 11 out of 10 stars.

Amazing location, just a few houses down from the lake. We stayed here with another family and had plenty of space. The 3 bathrooms made it comfortable for 8 of us to stay. Would definitely stay her again!

The property was great. Just a few short steps down to the lake and a few short steps to the shops and restaurants of Glen Arbor. It was super convenient to all the activities in Sleeping Bear Dunes as well. We enjoyed the backyard and fire pit. We will definitely come again!

This house was the perfect setting for my visit to northern michigan. Close to the lake and walkable distance ego the town. Quiet, clean and cool. Backyard was a nice setting for numerous lunches and dinners. Quiet respite for vacation near the lake.

We loved every second of our time at Manitou Porches!Located steps from the public beach and steps from everything Glen Arbor has to offer, it's also a quiet place of rest, porch coffee, backyard grilling and campfires, and comfort. Our family spent a week exploring the area trails, restaurants, beaches, dunes, and towns along M-22; and Manitou Porches is the perfect central location to easily access the sites or to spend days ditching the car and walking and biking around Glen Arbor. All communication, including the check-in process, was seamless, the house was spotless, and the hosts have included everything needed for a comfortable stay. We wanted to permanently move-in from the first moment we walked in, and later found ourselves searching for "criticisms" like. . "I wish we had chip clips. I wish we had loaf pans" (Spoiler: We found every little thing we mentioned, so we were left with nothing to critique!) Our group of four adults and one five-year old are already excited to come back and to share this gem with friends.

We had a perfect Up North family vacation at Manitou Porches in Glen Arbor. We loved being able to walk to lake MI throughout the day and into Glen Arbor for activities, groceries and restaurants. We enjoyed making meals at the vacation home and wine on the upper porch. Bike rental and kayak rental and hiking were highlights of our trip.

Great location...only 3 houses away from beach and 0.1 mile to downtown. We walked everywhere. House was new and beautiful. Communications good. We accidentally locked ourselves out by pushing the lock on the door handle (DON'T DO THAT!) and had to call the after hours number, but it was handled promptly and kindly.
