About this villa rental
Villa Gustavia Views more than delivers on the promise that is made in its name. The luxury rental property—which has recently been renovated and become available for short-term stays—transports its guests back in time to the heyday of carefree St. Barth living and chic colonial style. And of course, with its location right below the Gendarmerie, the views over Gustavia never get old—there are always yachts coming and going, and other activities to hold your attention.
The renovation of Villa Gustavia Views added some modern comforts and furnishings while keeping the charming, traditional characteristics such as the multicoloured tiles and architectural volumes. It is a place to celebrate simpler times, but without sacrificing any of today’s comforts.
The heart of Villa Gustavia Views is the large wraparound veranda, which allows for all-day outdoor living. There is a covered dining table and living area with a couch and chairs that are perfect for sunset cocktails. On a lower level, there is a heated swimming pool and lounge chairs that can be left in the sun or shaded by a large umbrella.
Indoors, the main gathering place is the living room, which has two couches set up for conversation or watching films on the large TV. A large dining table and an island with barstools serve to divide this living room from the cheerful and functional kitchen.
Behind the kitchen, there’s the master bedroom, which has a European king-size bed, his-and-hers closets, an ensuite bathroom with a rain-head shower, a private entrance, a private terrace, and a refrigerator and coffeemaker for leisurely mornings.
There are two more bedrooms on the opposite side of the main level. These rooms share a common dressing room and bathroom, making them ideal for parents and children. One has a king-size bed and the other has two twins. The fourth bedroom is in its own bungalow above the main building. It has a European king-size bed, a large ensuite bathroom with an outdoor shower, a private terrace with lounge beds, and a kitchenette. It also has its own entrance from the main road and a separate parking area.
Although the villa benefits from its harbour views, it is also high enough up the hill to be quiet and private. It is also still within walking distance from Gustavia’s restaurants and boutiques, as well as Shell Beach.
