About this house rental
Hoot’s Hideout is a unique and luxurious rural getaway located 10 minutes North of Penticton’s downtown core. What’s magical about the property is its seclusion. Hoot's sits tucked away in the shaded trees beside Strutt Creek on the edge of Okanagan Lake. Many birds enjoy the quiet and calm waters of the inlet and the thick pine trees that envelop the beach house.
Hoot’s Hideout is the perfect spot to stay and a launchpad to enjoy everything the South Okanagan has to offer. The Hoot’s Crew has worked hard to create the perfect space to have a hoot whether you decide to leave the property or not.
Beach-wise - there are two access points to Hoots' private beaches. A very friendly cove right outside the house provides a great sheltered spot to swim. Or zip past the on-site cabin to another private beach: quiet, pebbled, and south facing with tons of sun. Nearby Hoot's there is a dog-friendly public beach and Penticton's famous clothing-optional beach. Yes, you read that correctly, a public nude beach about a 5-minute walk from your doorstep!
The Okanagan offers a ton to do. Just up the road, you have a selection of outstanding wineries you can visit; on foot or by bike! We are also nearby an incredible network of beginner to advanced mountain biking trails, a pump track for kids, and the infamous KVR trail (an 11.7 km gravel path that stretches from Naramata to Penticton) which will lead you right into Penticton. In Penticton, there are many great restaurants and breweries to visit! The valley is known for it's fresh fruit and wine, hot summers, warm lakes and champagne powder (in the winter)!
There is a beautiful beach house (your rental accommodations) and there is a sweet little cabin that is enjoyed by the owners. We're happy to help you with the local scoop on everything there is to see and do!
If you have any questions, please send us a message!
We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Hoots Hideout did not disappoint us. The property is beautiful. The house is very roomy. There is always something to do. Canoeing, paddle boards and enjoying the sunsets from the hot tub on the beach. Would highly recommend this place. Many thanks to Hoots.

We had a wonderful stay here! Our family and adult kids all enjoyed our time in this spacious and well laid out home on the water. We enjoyed water activities, swimming off the dock, boating and paddle boarding. Had coffee on the deck every morning and local wine with a wonderful dinner every night. We enjoyed using the well stocked kitchen. Every detail is well thought out. The location is perfect for wine tours and biking with some great restaurants nearby also. We all agreed that we loved staying here and would like to one back again in the future. Thank you to the Hoots team for creating and sharing this special place.

There was no disappointment with the property as it lived up to the pictures. Thoughtful placement of things such as patio umbrellas and a fire pit made the spaces more useable and more comfortable. From a well equipped kitchen to towels in all the rooms we did not find ourselves wanting for anything. The location and views are excellent.

Weekend fall getaway
We were three adults (husband, wife, and adult child). Overall, very nice. Felt like it had been recently renovated and was an easy relaxing place. Kitchen very well appointed, with everything the home chef could want (eg the knives were sharp!). A variety of bedroom options with varying mattress hardness, bathrooms clean, functional. The staff were very responsive to our few needs. Unfortunately the weather was on the wet and stormy side, but inside was cozy. Proximity to the KVR a bonus. Enjoyed a couple of long hikes on the trail. Two suggestions: bathrobes would be a nice touch, given that it was a little chilly; shower floors potentially slippery (metal) although beautiful - but perhaps some way of lightly roughing up the floor surface.
